Potato Hotel — Hotel in Perak

Last week my family and I stayed here for 2 nights. RM130+- (including other fee and charges) booked via Agoda. You will be asked to give RM50 as deposit at receptionist during check in.

A) Parking : In front of the hotel. Open air (so please bring your own umbrella in case it's raining). Parking at your own risk.

B) Facilities :

1. Toiletries - No packed soap/shampoo No shower cap No brush teeth Available only the liquid soap in the push-on container at the wall

2. Tissue provided only the toilet tissue roll, no face tissue in box was given

3. 2 drinking water bottle with 1 glass

4. NO 3 in 1 coffee, tea, sugar, creamer were given

5. 1 bin in room, 1 bin in toilet

6. No water heater jug

7. No wardrobe, only hanger at the wall

8. TV got only 5 channels which are not interesting

9. The bedsheet was quite itchy for us

10. Air conditioner was functioning well

11. Heater in toilet not functioning well. The water was warm so-so eventhough it was being set as maximum hotness. Need to check your heater maintenance.

12. Wifi : We don't know as we were not using it

13. Table and chair provided so we can eat there and put belongings on it

14. No carpet so please bring your own travel mat if you have kids/children as the tiles are cold

15. No fridge in the room. Fridge was provided at G floor, together with microwave oven, water cooler, etc

16. Ironing area was provided outside of the room

17. Praying mat (sejadah) was given upon request

18. No lift. Need to use stairs

C) Cleanliness : Very clean. We like your room.

D) Atmosphere As we were staying at 1st floor, so we got distracted with the neighbour's barking dogs beside the hotel. They always bark, morning/evening/night. So if you cannot sleep in noisy condition, please choose other hotel.

E) Service : Good staff

Overall the hotel was so-so. Hopefully hotel management improves the needed criterias. Thank you and sorry for my honest feedback.

A simple budget hotel in Simpang, Taiping. Here is my review:

Pros: Cheap price Comfortable and clean room Aircond is cold Shower is great Near the main road and lots of shops and eateries nearby (still need transport to go to the shops)

Cons: No lift so you need to use the stairs to go to the upper levels No toiletries provided so you must bring your own toiletries The bath towel is thin but it still functions as a towel should be. If you're not comfortable with it so bring your own towel for comfort The blanket is thin but it still functions as a blanket should be. Can bring your own extra blanket for comfort. No ironing set, water kettle and cups inside the room. If you want to iron your clothes, you can do so at the ironing station at the hotel's corridor. You can get hot/cold water from the water filter dispenser also at the hotel corridor. As for the cups, either you can bring your own or use the ones in the public pantry at the ground floor. No cafe but you can buy snacks, bread, premixed drinks or instant noodles at the hotel's shop beside the reception counter. Better buy from outside as it is slightly pricey here huhuhu...

Overall, it is a comfortable budget hotel to rest for the night after a long day out....

Me and my friend stay at this hotel for our short trip during the weekend. The booking done through phone call and luckily there is one room still available for the four of us on the date that we requested. The price is affordable as we were given a very huge family room with large toilet at level 3. The room is clean, the air is nice and the toilet is also clean included the towel. It is very comfortable for the four of us and each of us has enough space to move.||||The only hiccup is that eventhough they say that there is a free wifi but the line in our room is very bad as we cannot detect the wifi line. There is no lift, therefore to those who will be given room at level 2 or 3 need to climb the stair. Not good for elders.||||All in all, it a a very good, convenient and strategically located and the direction/signboard to the hotel...
