  1. location- right among the padi fields, therefore good if you want to experience a ‘kampung’ or village atmosphere. But you do need your own transport to get around||2) room- I stayed in the standard 2 pax room on the ground floor. It was reasonably clean, good aircond, tv- HBO good reception, wifi also good. 2 bottles of drinking water & a kettle was provided but no coffee/tea or glass/mug... so bring your own if you want to have coffee/tea in the room.||We noticed some brownish water seeping through the floor (our room was on the ground floor)... not much but enough to feel the wetness. Informed the staff on night duty, he didn’t seem surprised ... said it’s from the padi fields, and brought some rags to dry the floor.||3) the reviews about insects at night was true ... it’s not exactly mosquitos, but very small flying insects... didn’t bite but enough to make you uncomfortable... so better to just stay inside at night||4) there are no eateries nearby except for the ‘bus cafe’ in front of the hotel ... we did not go because I read previous reviews that it only serve pastries and is closed at night. If you want ‘real food’ you’ll have to drive to town, towards Tanjung Karang or towards Sungai Besar.||||To summarize, I would say it’s ok for 1 night stay. The staff could have been more resourceful... should be able to suggest where to go for food, and to experience something unique in the area. It would be better if the hotel can provide some simple breakfast for guests who don’t want to go out in...

I recently stayed at padibox in a room with a balcony. The view from the balcony was fantastic, overlooking a beautiful paddy field. This was definitely a highlight of my stay. The water pressure in the shower was also good.

Unfortunately, there were several issues with the room that detracted from my experience. The toilet hanger was broken, and the toilet bowl seemed to have a clog, requiring multiple flushes. The walls in the room appeared old, with dark marks in the corners that could have been dirt or water damage.

There were also maintenance concerns. The air conditioner leaked water, and the repair of the plaster ceiling seemed unfinished as it wasn't repainted. Perhaps the most concerning issue was that the balcony door lock was malfunctioning, potentially allowing access from outside.

In the past, I've appreciated that staff would help close the heavy metal balcony door at night. However, on this stay, I was asked to close it myself, which was difficult due to its weight. This could be a particular problem for solo travelers, especially women.

As a longtime guest of padibox since its opening, I'm disappointed to see a decline in quality and a lack of maintenance. While the view was lovely, the room's condition and the malfunctioning door raise safety concerns. Unfortunately, I won't be staying here again and will consider other hotels in the future, even if they are slightly...

I feel like I’ve been scammed by Padibox. I made a payment on 23 June 2025, but until today I haven’t received any proper confirmation slip or notification, only an auto-generated receipt.

I’m really frustrated because there was no update at all on my booking status. So, on 1 July, I decided to cancel my stay (which was supposed to be on 18-19 July) and requested a refund, as their terms and conditions state that cancellation is allowed as long as it’s 7 days before arrival. They promised to refund and asked for my bank account details.

However, until now, there has been no update at all on the refund. I have tried calling and WhatsApp-calling them countless times (more than 20-30 times a day), but now my WhatsApp messages only show one tick and their phone number is unreachable. I even tried calling shops around Padibox to check if they had another contact number, but no one could help. We also reached out via social media, but there has been no response, even though their last Facebook post was just at the end of June.

This entire experience has made me extremely anxious. It’s my first time in life feeling like I’ve...

Had some expectations for this place but utterly disappointed during the stay. I can list down some of the unpleasant experience/details during my stay in the "White" upper level unit. 1. Wifi signal disappeared during the night. Had to go back down to get staff to restart it 2. Found out there's no fridge upon check in 3. Curtains are very difficult to slide open/retract 4. Water heater barely heats up the shower 5. Water drainage in the shower gets clogged up.. 6. ..which probably is why the check-in time at 3PM (yes it is that late); to let the clogged drain undrain itself 7. Mosquito netting is not installed well and let's insects creep into the room 8. Night lamp is not working All these are just proof to how little attention the establishment puts into ensuring a pleasant experience or at the very least the room is ready for guest stays (what was the super late check-in for then).

At first look the place is very pretty, right next to the paddy fields and the very instagrammable No. 16 Bus Cafe. The location is good as its surrounded by gorgeous greens and close to most sightseeing spots in Sekinchan, also close to the little town where all the restaurants and wet market are. However the place is beginning to show signs of running down. The rooms leak after rain, the air-conditioning leak too, the rooms and attached baths have a musty smell likely due to poor ventilation and seldom cleaned air-conds. The sheets smell too. The staff are ok but could do better if they smiled more. No food is provided so please come prepared yourselves. Overall its an ok place to stay for a couple of nights if you like the quiet. Its such a beautiful concept and it would be a waste if more efforts weren’t put in to better maintain the place.

Cozy and comfortable rooms with a small balcony overlooking lush greenery Paddy fields. We booked ground floor room with balcony, room was very clean, bathroom was also very clean and they do provide a hair dryer. The stay was good here, however, the main attraction of this place is the scenic paddy fields, driving through the not so wide roads, seeing all green paddy fields on both sides, an absolute treat to eyes. This kind of view is only available in certain months, so check with the hotel prior to booking. And not to forget next to Padi Box there is N16 Cafe with an unique concept (Bus converted as a cafe). Overall a great place to stay and enjoy the nature.
