It was an awful experience for us to complete 3D2N team building at Tadom Hill with 78pax in 3rd week of July 2023.
Pre-event Arrangement No corporate marketing in Tadom Hill, we can only allow to communicate with Ms. Haiza from information counter
The response from Ms. Haiza was slow in averagely T+1 day to answer a query due to: on leave (no alternative officer to pick up), MC, poor internet connection at Tadom Hill, pending management’s response to our queries.
For 1 query in WhatsApp/email/call, EACH query will be answered T+1 day after consistently follow up (some even not response)
Unclear explanation & manage customer expectations on cost incurred.
We were requesting to enjoy our packed lunch and dinner at Main Bamboo Hall for 1 hour each throughout our event duration & assistance to prepare 8 pieces of white clothes and stationery for the ice breaking activity during day 1 of the event. The answer is “YES, sure!”
Tadom Hill informed us there will be additional cost incur for these arrangements when we do final check on each arrangement.
The rental of main bamboo hall (open space with fans, 1 fan not working) for meal RM200/hour. For following 1.5hours is RM650 which is ridiculous. End up we compromised by paying RM800 (before tax) to rent the hall for 4 hours.
Payment Arrangements We were agreed to proceed 50% of payment b4 event and complete the remaining balance after event as per our company policy with Tadom Hill earlier. It had been recorded in email black and white after our meeting. A week b4 our event, Tadom Hill requested full payment before event or they cannot proceed with the booking. And consistently daily follow up until we remit full payment.
Luggage Arrangements before official check-in time (Service etiquette & hygiene issue)
The event start at 11am before Tadom Hill official check-in time (3pm)in day 1. We were being advised to fit all luggage bags of total 78pax of participants into 2 of the rooms that we reserved.
As the participants who should stay at these 2 rooms, how do you feel when the rest of participants who were so sweaty and dirty enter into ur room to take their luggage bags after the outdoor activities under the hot sun?
Meal Arrangements We understand the breakfast included in accommodation package served all guests in Tadom Hill. However when we asked for egg replenishment at 8:30am, the kitchen helper was so impatient and asked: kenapa tak cukup? u ada berapa orang belum makan? Berapa telur lagi? Kita sudah rebus banyak!
From the conversation, we were told that the kitchen had rebus 2 papan telur = 60 biji, each telur cut 1/2, so total 120 keping telur had been prepared.
There are total 78pax of participants from our company before other guests in Tadom Hill, would be sufficient with 60 eggs served for breakfast? We paid average RM500+ pax solely for accommodation with breakfast, hall usage and 3 outdoor activities, and yet we are not deserve to have an egg during the breakfast? That’s the only protein source provided among all the foods served in breakfast!
Activity & accommodation Arrangements We were discussed & agreed all the outdoor activities content together with Ms. Haiza from Tadom Hill and their appointed outsourcing trainers through virtual meeting. But part of the activity content missing due to we did not take package offered but ala cart and this is not clearly notified by Tadom hill during payment process.
Water supply cut off in 3rd day morning 7am+ due to Tadom hill forgot to turn on water tap.
We requested to communicate with Tadom hill management several times before the event & hope to smoothen the process and arrangements, but no response even being informed that the manager Mr. Chow will call us back. This is truly disappointing and upset...

I have a mix feeling about this place. I like all the bamboo built rooms, benches etc. Really nice. But I won't share those good experience as other reviewers have already mentioned. In fact, I would like to emphasize on those set back that the management MUST look into. MUST
For me, staying in bamboo room, means there's no privacy at all. You can clearly hear any sound from next door. And happened to be, my neighbors staying at Bamboo Hut 2 were too loud and very very noisy even at 2 am, like having party or what. Until we have to knock the wall and asked them to keep quite. The resort team should do the rounding and advice them supposedly. So resort team seems to be "don't bother" for our comfort.
Another major set back is their operating hours for facilities. First, breakfast was too late. Open at 8 am. Then water facilities was also too late. Open at 9 am. Then ATV, flying fox and other facilities are even later, open at 10 am.
Just imagine if you take a 1 night stay, check in at 3 pm, you can only spend the afternoon in the lake for water activity, then it closed at 6.30 pm. The next morning, wake up at 6 but nothing you can do until breakfast time. Then you are rushing for ATV or flying fox etc and it's already too late for another round of water activity as you need to check out by 12.
So all activities supposed to start at 7 am. Or at least open the water activity at 7, breakfast as early as 6.30 am, ATV flying fox and the rest start at 8 am.
But it wasn't so. So that's very bad and make the whole investment for the 1 night stay was not fully utilized. I paid for RM710 for a night stay in Bamboo Hut 3, but turn out to be a wrong investment at all. Crazy expensive but to face all the uncomfortable experience.
And the area is no longer greeny. I don't feel like staying in a well preserved bamboo forest. No. I don't mind at all those mosquito bites, or anything pertaining to nature but not ok to feel uncomfortable due to the bad management.
So overall the place is "TOO OVERATED". Unless you opt for the hammock stay. Then it could be worth compare to expensive bamboo hut and other type of rooms. And I believe the same experience for those staying in any room. As long as no patrol made by the resort to keep the entire place quite after 12 pm. And must improve on time as well. Open all as early as 8 am and breakfast at 6.30 am. Don't tell me you don't have enough staff coz these are all the basic things you must meet. Must provide. Kami bayar mahal gila kot.
I would not repeat!!!
Bad experience from Bamboo Hut 3, checked in 5 Nov 21.
Updated after 5 months : And as expected, no one from the resort team or management dare to reach me for saying sorry for all my bad experience. They probably only concern on money rather than giving best and comfortable...
Read moreA relaxing place to stay with friends for a couple of nights among plenty of greenery and a beautiful lake. The bamboo buildings lend a certain charm to the place and make cosy places to stay.
Check in was easy enough. You have to pay a refundable deposit of rm100 for the key so make sure you're prepared for that. I stayed with 2 others and we got a room for 4 people which was in the roundhouse. There was plenty of room and the bamboo bunk beds were comfy. There was a ceiling fan, air conditioning, a dressing table and a little clothes rail. (No hangers.) Bed linen and blankets were provided. No towels so bring your own.
The shared female bathroom was right by our room on the ground floor, the male bathroom was upstairs. The bathrooms were basic but clean. The floor was always wet so you should probably have something to wear on your feet. My other friends stayed in the small chalets for 2 people which are in a lovely location near the lake. It is just a hut with a mattress in it though so if you need more space then you should get one of the 4 pax bedrooms.
Breakfast was included in the room price and served in the onsite restaurant from 8am - 10am. There were noodles, nasi lemak, sausages, beans, terrible fried egg, toast, spread, fruit and cake. Simple but filling. We also had dinner there on the first night and we all enjoyed our food. Not the speediest service but there's really no need to hurry.
When we weren't eating, we spent a fair amount of time bobbing around in the lake. We did bamboo rafting and my friends had fun jumping off the diving board and Tarzan swing into the water. We also did Flying Fox, archery, quad biking and table tennis. Everything was great!
However, I do wish there was a place where you could relax more easily with a book. A shady place with some loungers/ hammocks would have been perfect!
Check out was simple. We then went for seafood at Pantai Morib which was a lovely way to end our stay. I recommend you do the same if you have time.
Things to be aware of: Bring your own towels and toiletries Payment in cash is much easier. (You can do online transfers but the signal isn't great.) Activities stop from 12pm - 2pm when staff have lunch. This was not explained to us when we were enquiring about the different activities we could do. No WiFi.
You'll like this place if you: are chilled out and just want to relax with friends/ family for a couple of days. appreciate this place for what it is. Don't set your standards really high. like Malaysian style accommodation and food. There are no western options here.
Overall, I recommend this place for a couple of nights for a quick and...
