The moment I first stepped foot on Espira Kinrara, I was so pleasantly surprised. The buildings housing the rooms looked exactly like the photos I’ve seen online. The pool also looked lovely. The reception area was adequately spacious and looked very nice. However, I can’t comment on the actual check-in process as I had to attend training straightaway and the check-in was done for us. A WORD OF WARNING for your planning purposes: check-in is at 3 pm, check-out at 12 noon. The room we had was for 3 pax with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. The room was adequately spacious; the aircond and fan worked well; there were large refillable bottles of body soap and shampoo; the hot water work and the water pressure was satisfactory; there was a hair dryer, as well as iron and ironing board. My only grouse about the room: the shower, which was separate from the toilet, did not have a toilet rack and only one hook behind the door. Oh…and the phone inside the room doesn’t work (we could not call reception!). We had our meals at Biru, where the food quality was inconsistent. Our first meal was lunch and the vegetables were grossly overcooked, the steamed eggs tasted horrible; the squid looked good but was tasteless; the “crab soup” was like diluted starchy water with bits of crab filament. Dinner was better, with green curry chicken, ikan keli goreng sambal, and (overcooked) kangkung belacan. Breakfast the next day was, surprisingly, the best, with freshly baked mini croissants (not the best, but they were actually baking in a small oven in the dining area itself!), tasty roti canai with kuah dal, an egg station, nasi lemak (which I didn’t have), salad bar, some cold cuts and sausages. There were various desserts for each meal but nothing outstanding. They have a self-service coffee machine that churns out latte and cappuccino. The coffee is not outstanding but not terrible either…but it’s FREE so I was happy. As for the conference facilities, our function room had a large retractable screen and projector. We could not control the lighting so we had issues with the clarity of the projected image. Air-conditioning was controlled elsewhere so you’d need their technicians’ help adjusting the temperature. You can have tea breaks included or excluded from your package. All in all, I think the place is good value for money, despite everything, for trainings and conferences. If the food is really terrible, you can always go across the road and buy fast food (tapi tgh boycott sekarang!) or order Grab/Food Panda as the place is near Pavilion Bukit Jalil and IOI Mall.

This was my second stay at Espira Kinrara — the first was back in 2020 when it was still known as Kinrara Resort, if I recall correctly. Overall, it was a pleasant experience once again. The environment is peaceful, the place is comfortable, and we truly enjoyed our time here. However, some of the facilities appear a little dated. The adult pool, for example, had some worn-out plastic panels which felt unsafe to step on. The room was decent, but the TV channels were unclear — felt like watching something from the 80s. The air-conditioning was cold but not directly facing the bed, which could be improved. I appreciate the Muslim-friendly room setup — easy access for ablution and the availability of a prayer mat was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was enjoyable, though I would suggest replacing the chicken curry with rendang, as it would pair better with nasi lemak or fried noodles. The current combination feels a bit mismatched, though the food itself was tasty. Overall, just some updates to the room amenities and breakfast menu would make the stay even better. I would definitely consider returning in the future.

I stay with my family to celebrate a surprise birthday for my daughter. After made a booking, i call the resort and asking if they have any birthday cake they did have but if i wanted to buy I need to go there and fill up a form. They cannot send an email because they need used the computer at F&B office (very ridiculous reason) I was very busy through out the week and i can't make it. so i decide to order outside cake and delivery to the resort on that day that i check in.||||Morning before i check in, i send the cake and gift to kept at the resort, but the receptionist inform that i need to liaise with cafe itself. i send the cake to the cafe but at first they refuse to accept it as they said i not even check in yet. Again, i told them this is for surprise birthday. They accept it and keep the cake.||||After my check in, I go back to the cafe to inform the staff that they can send the cake to my room. The staff said ok. I'm waiting about half and hour but the cake haven't arrived yet, and i need to ring the cafe again to asking about my cake and the staff told me that they only can send the resort food only. Not an outside food. I was very upset because my room was very far from the cafe and the staff did not explain to me earlier. and i'm wondering what kind of services do they serve to their guest if it a simple request they cannot full-fill. And if the staff do understand what meaning of SURPRISE itself. So if you are planning to have any special occasion at this place, please avoid it and go to other place as they don't even border about your...
