Pros:||1. Suitable for big family. Booked rooms with 2 queen beds for RM150/room via Agoda (no breakfast option)...value for money||2. Very close to the beach (less than 100m distance)||3. Ample parking space||4. Swimming pool is available...basic but there’s pool slide for children||5. Quick check-in and check-out process||6. The a/c unit in our room looks kind of new so no issue||||Cons:||1. Building is old, some garden/compound lights not working making the surrounding quite dark/dim at night||2. Insufficient lighting in the room and the wardrobe is a bit dusty||3. Toilet is functional but in desperate need for improvement. There’s a sign of leakage on the ceiling resulted in mold and mildew growth||4. Sink and toilet bowl need to be more clean...please consider changing faucets in the toilet. The one for the shower can fall off easily||5. The floor can be cleaner...the tiles are showing their ageing signs too||6. The sliding door is very hard to open...sign of ageing||7. Not too many staff around. Met only 2 at the reception. No porter available/offering service||8. Littering on the beach...not sure where they came from||||Note:||1. Cant review on the food...we took rooms without breakfast option||2. My honest opinion, the place has good attraction (beach and facilities) but proper refurbishment, maintenance and marketing required. So sad to see its current condition. Not a satisfied stayed at Suria Merang. The first day when having buffet breakfast, there a kitten on top of the buffet table. No one seem to bothered! The room is okay, but the cupboard is really not good. It is difficult to opened and its like dropping off. We try to rent bicycle but no more in service. We are quite disappointed. Later, we wanted to do kayaking but when we find out that the river/lake that we going to kayak, we cancelled the plan. Because the river looked very scary and quite dirty. Seems like no one doing the kayaking for a long time. But in the website its look so different, it is so enticing. The river/lake around the resort is so dirty. The beach are quite dirty because not enough dustbin around the area. There are nothing much to do. We borrowed Monopoly and Scrabble to play with during the night. Firstly,the room just like never ever been cleaned before and so many ‘taik cicak’ everywhere especially on the windows.Secondly,the tv just had 3 channels (not according to the offers) and wireless connection is really poor you know??.Third,the lamp wire is not safe for childs okayy?? and at the ceiling had so many ‘sawang’ .Please get rid of it.Fourth,the bathroom: the temperature of water is just cold n no hot.Then, one of the towel have a big hole.The air conditioner was too bad and the floor just need to be cleaned. Lastly,the only good reason is the most calm sea that i ever feel,the beach is very beautiful if there was no rubbish and swimming pool is not very bad.yes i know that i get the lower price but please treat us like other customers too.hotel lain pun ada yg murah jugak tapi tak la teruk mcm ni.I hope you...
