"Beautiful Sunrise..." June2025 Family of 4; kids 10 & 12yr olds
HOW TO GET THERE We flew from Singapore & transit via KLIA. No direct flights to TGG from SG. Total journey 6 hours from Changi to our hotel, 2-hr transit in KLIA. That was faster than taking a bus, which can be up to 12-14hours, esp during the Eid Adha holidays.
THE RESORT Located along the serene coastline of Lorong Gem Beach in Kampung Pagar Besi, this resort offers a peaceful beachfront escape just north of Kuala Terengganu. Nestled in a quiet coastal village, the resort provides a relaxing atmosphere ideal for beach lovers, snorkelers and travellers seeking a scenic retreat close to nature. There were not many eateries outside this resort. U would hv to drive down south nearer to the airport for those food trucks or further up north into the estates. Otherwise, Coco Rimba is the in-house cafe where u get ur meals.
CHECK-IN Check-in was fast considering there were other guests as well. Very friendly & informative staff. We were soon on our way to the room with the porters delivering our bags. Good job Front Desk!
ROOM The room excels in everything! I believe we were on the old block as the toilet interior was old-school. *they still hv the 2pin electric shaver outlet. Perhaps this can be replaced with a 3pin so we can use the hairdryer with a mirror. Anyway, go for the open/close flexible balcony which is the new block I believe. They hv the newer toilets. We got 1 queen bed & 2 single beds for our kids. The underlining (conceal) led strip made our stay much more relaxing & felt peaceful at night. All linens were fresh, no complains. Room smells clean & fresh. Our room B103 was on the ground floor facing the sea, but at a distance; good view. Iron & board, hairdryer, minifridge, TV, channels, remote & lightings all worked. Room comes with 4 btls drinking water & the coffee tea making set; but without the tea & sugar. Only provision was 3in1 white coffee. I missed my tea, huhu!
POOL Astronaut Waterpark is a space-themed décor with playful design around the children’s pool. It’s a fun, imaginative splash zone right next to the main pool and dining area. They hv big & small floats for rental. Drinks & light snacks available for purchase. This is something different & better with families with young children. The main pool got 2 tiers; for kids & adults. At night, this place lights up serene. Nice…
F&B We had breakfast on day 2 at Coco Rimba, the poolside cafe. U can purchase b’fast a day prior for 50% less @RM15/pax. The spread was good. Dig into local morning bites & western as well. The good bread with various spread, coffee tea & chilled water, syrup on tap. We also tried their set dinner for 3-4pax. The serving portion was good & most importantly, it was tasteful. We had the delicious grilled black pepper chicken set, the chicken soup was good too. If u plan to hv the 3-flavoured fish, pls book a day in advance.
AROUND THE HOTEL Walking around the resort felt like a zoo trapped in a colonial town with a splashing water playground! They had birds, ducks, terrapins, geese, fluffy bunnies, goats, deers, horses. The kids (young goat) can be seen walking merrily around, the ducks paddling in the pond, I missed the honkings of the geese the most. Such a rare experience haha! By the beach were platforms around big trees that stand above the banks. There were 2 wooden chairs to dream away. Nothing on the horizon, just u & the sea. Very peaceful, clean beach & no crowd. Come to the beach in the morning to catch that spectacular sunrise. There is a 24hr mart that is managed by the front desk, but the items limited. Not many variations available. This mart is at the lobby, right next to the check-in desk. Plenty of parking space if u drive…
STAFF All the staff we met were wonderful! They truly show the Malaysian hospitality. Polite, helpful & very informative.
Overall, we had a good stay. Thank u Bidung View Resort! Will recommend this...
Read moreReceived double standard treatment from this resort’s management and staff. This resort doesn’t deserved even one star at all. Here are the reasons why:
First, during checkin at 4.30pm, there were few staffs that entertained customers in at the reception counter. And I don’t seem any line or people queuing there. So I waited behind one of customers that was checkin at the reception counter. Then, after the customer settled checkin, during my turn, the staff asked me to queue again saying that this is not the checkin counter without showed the right counter or line for checkin. So I patiently queue again behind another customer that was also in the middle of checkin. Then, after the customer settled, during my turn, the staff asked me to queue AGAIN SAYING THAT THIS IS NOT THE CHECKIN COUNTER. TWICE I DID QUEUE BEHIND CUSTOMER WHO WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF CHECKIN, THEN SUDDENLY DURING MY TURN THE STAFF REFUSED TO CHECKIN ME AND ASKED ME TO QUEUE AGAIN WITHOUT SHOWED THE RIGHT LINE OR COUNTER FOR CHECKIN. I was furious and asked angrily where is the exact place I should queue for checkin. The staff didn’t apologise anything towards me. And during the checkin, the receptionist didn’t said anything apologise for waiting to long for checkin. The receptionist staff were so arrogant, no smiling during entertained customer checkin and rude.
Secondly, during my second day here, one customer complained to the management that we breaking the resort rules and regulation which is smoking in the premise. But when we made a complaint WITH A PROOF that there were quite numbers of customers that break the resort rules & regulations such as didn’t wear wristbands at the swimming pool and playground facilities, they didn’t took any action towards the customers and bluetick my WhatsApp msg. And all customers happily DIDN’T WEAR THE WRISTBAND THE ENTIRE TIME AT THE SWIMMING POOL & PLAYGROUND AREA EVERYDAY DURING MY STAYED. In fact, there’s also few customers we saw did smoking in the premises area, but why attacking ONLY US?
Thirdly, I booked starry seafront room and I saw that all other starry seafront rooms have a basket of flowers on the table at foldable window. But there’s NONE in my room. Hopefully, they’ll not take this as excuse to burn my deposit with reason missing item. Because I read from the review they blamed customer for break or damage the room item while the customer didn’t do it because the wanted to burn the deposit.
Fourthly, we randomly asked one of the staff here for how long Bidong View Resort been operated because my family used to travel to Kuala Terengganu since I was small back in 30 years ago. We used to stayed at Sutera Beach Resort and Primula Beach Hotel. But we never came across Bidong View Resort before. The staff said Bidong View Resort has been operated over 30 years already. But when I check CTOS Bidong Beach Resort has been registered on 26 July 2023 and fully operated on 19 February 2024. Did the staff lied to me? Why? To make Bidong View Resort looked great is it?
Five, I’m agreed with all the reviews here mentioning that this resort is not clean. There’s a stain at one of the mattress in my room and the floor felt sandy.
Lastly, is not worth to stayed here. This resort is more overrated, overpriced because such price per room but without breakfast. And there’s no special drinks at their cafe. Even kedai mamak has...

Here is a long and honest review for the resort. I dont think they have any guest relations manager what so ever as no one asked of our experience throughout our stay.
Zero hospitality as none of the staffs smile at us during our stay. We were taken aback as this was supposed to be a family friendly resort. Check in was smooth. They required a deposit of rm100 cash. So do get that ready. They do provide trolley services. But sadly, we weren’t feel welcome enough.
We booked the Vitamin Sea Package that includes dinner and breakfast for a family room. A room that meant for 4 adults. We traveled with 3 small kids age 5,3 and 2.
The Meal that comes with the package. As for the inclusive dinner, we were texted by WhatsApp few hours before check in and chose a menu. We love that they do that so that we have a choice. Mind you, we thought the meal was for FOUR ADULTS. So with 3 little kids we know for sure it would be enough. WE WERE WRONG! the portion was small. The fish ( I already requested when ordering to make it less spicy) was not kids friendly. They only have the food that was pre ordered and no other menu besides that. NO KIDS MENU. Can’t even make a porridge, i asked. How ironic to have family resort with no kids menu. On the text I already mentioned 2 baby chairs to be set at the table. Nope, had to do it myself. Again, zero hospitality as the hostess was not friendly at all.
Room type: Coaster Garden The room was clean, spacious and they placed mattresses on elevated platform instead of bed and we love that so much. It’s so easy to sleep with the kids and the kids enjoy jumping around safely. The toilet comes with a bathtub. A bonus for us parents with small kids. For the room, no complaints.
The pool & Waterpark We enjoyed the pool so so much. Kids were happy so were we. No complaints just as advertised it was amazing.
The beach. View was amazing. With the pool and the beach kids had an awesome time.
Another best part of the resort is the animals. It was a great addition to the experience as kids enjoy all the cute farm animals.
I do hope they engage a guest relations manager and a better PR. Would love to visit again, but do train your...
