Emma Guest House — Hotel in Terengganu

The best guesthouse I have been to in terms of cleanliness, space, and smart room layout, in Malaysia. Stayed at the King Suite, which comes with a personal carpark right next to the room doorsteps. The decor is bright & clean, with little touches that soothe the weary mind. All utilities like water, lighting, bedding, power points, faucets and showers, hot water kettle, fridge, and air conditioner are working well and very thoughtfully placed. Have been staying here several times over the years whenever I travel to Trengganu because it is close to all the places I want to be. In my last visit recently, I had a medical emergency, and luckily the owner is a doctor so she gave us a house call. Her husband also helped us to arrange transport when we decided to stay at Perhentian Islands for a few days, and allowed us to keep our car at their parking lot for safe keeping. It is a good simple guest house. Easy to find with waze and google. ||There is a clear sign of Emma guest house on the building. The guest house is around a "kampung" surrounding. ||The check-in in procedure is fast too, there are different rate for online booking and walk-in. However, the room rate is still consider cheap. I have a single room with single bed, air-conditioned room at RM55 per night. The bathroom is separated from my room and it is huge. Love it. However, there are rooms with built-in bathroom. ||The owner manage to develop their business and don't be confuse of they lead you to another side of the building. Guest house cozy, style cottage yang menarik. Staff sangat super friendly dan membantu bila customer memerlukan bantuan. Cuma dapat bad experience saja menginap di sini.

Firstly, kami maklum untuk kekal jimat elektrik/tutup suis aircond jika tidak digunakan. Tapi tak bermakna yang pihak guest house boleh sesuka hati masuk ke bilik tanpa kebenaran. Kami tanpa sengaja terlupa tutup suis AC dan kemudian dimaklumkan melalui whatsapp bahawa pihak guest house masuk ke bilik dan tutup suis. Saya rasa molek lagi kalau pihak guest house whatsapp dahulu bagi amaran dan minta kami tutup dahulu ataupun minta kebenaran untuk masuk dan tutupkan suis. Banyak barangan berharga yang diletakkan dan itu adalah satu bentuk gangguan privasi.

Yang kedua, saya rasa double standard pulak bila pihak guest house boleh sesuka hati masuk ke dalam bilik yang kami menginap tapi membiarkan penginap yang lain hisap rokok di kawasan pantri/rehat di tingkat atas tanpa apa-apa tindakan sampailah saya sendiri buat aduan sedangkan bau rokok tu kuat sampai ke bawah boleh bau. Bau rokok masuk sampai ke bilik ya dan melekat sampai jam 3-4 pagi.
