Ibai Beach Guesthouse — Hotel in Terengganu

What a hidden gem, so glad I found this establishment on Google. Premium location, literally 20 steps to the beach. If you're looking for just a place to spend the night and won't be in the room much, this is for you. And for the room prices, there really isn't anything much to complain. I had a great experience, smooth booking, checking-in and checking-out process. Relatively clean, there's even a small snack and drinks for sale section near the receptionist. Plus point shower outside the establishment for you to clean up all the sand before going in. Some improvements could be hotter shower and ant control, but that said, I would still consider staying here again if there's ever a need to be...

I found this on Google as I was traveling alone from Kota Bahru on my solo scooter tour heading back to Kuala Lumpur... I love the quiet location right at the beach. The self check-in procedure was easy and I had no issue. It's also not too far away from the city centre and I took the opportunity to spend the remaining daylight to ride and view the drawbridge and its surrounding attractions. After dinner at the nearby new shopping mall. I'm a visitor from outside Malaya and could easily locate Ibai using Google maps navigation. It's highly recommended for folks like me who prefer a quiet place by the beach to rest before continuing their journey early the next morning....

Budget hotel category. Very reasonable price room.

Very clean even for the budget/price charged. You can see Pulau Kapas from the guesthouse.

Location wise is quite strategic. Near the city, tourist spot, restaurant, beach and Batu Burok.

The beach besides the hotel can be accessed via make shift stairs at the end of road. Do alert on the monsoon season and what not. There are times when the beach is not safe to swim like the monsoon season.

Traffic on the main road could be heavy at certain times. Entrance to the guesthouse can be tight at certain times, so do drive slowly entering the kampong area. Caution on local kids playing...
