OYO 90744 Bari Indah Beach Resort — Hotel in Terengganu

Avoid at all cost. Booked the hotel 3 months in advance via Agoda, one day prior before check in, the hotel cancelled my booking without any reason!! Why cancelled one day prior? Why not one week? Betul betul menyusahkan. So i contacted the hotel asking why they cancelled me last minute. They just say, sorry, the hotel is overbooked. The hell. I booked 3 months in advance, why you give me short notice. Checked on other websites, and there is plenty more rooms available. So i asked them about the rooms, if it is overbook, go and get rid of the advertising. Dont give fake hopes to others. But hey, they told me the room is still available. I really don’t understand. Cancelled my booking because hotel is overbook, but there are still rooms available on the website?

I now have to book another hotel which cost me 5 times more!!

Update : I understand why they cancelled my booking, on that weekend there’s an event, bike week at the vicinity beach. Maybe they cancelled just to give way to other customers who can pay...

We were so pleased by the close view of the open sea and enjoying windy days. However for the resort itself, still a lot to be improved. General cleanliness of the resort compound is poor with trashes stuck in drains We got rooms both facing the sea which we were hoping for. Sadly, almost half of the room carpets were too wet when we entered. Mattresses are worn out, we can feel the inner spring, looks like they were taken from a thrift shop. Broken cupboard doors, loose toilet doors etc

Cockroaches running around the rooms and lizard droppings on the bedsheet and at some corners of the room, not to further say about thick...

Booking sminggu.. Dh tulis arrival time 5-6pm.. Pukul 4 hotel call ckp overbook.. Nk dormstay ada la.. Dgn xmintak maaf.. Sbb xrelevan.. Pengurusan yg sgt teruk! Pegi jugak la nk tgok, xpuas hati.. Dh smpai sana tgok2 ada jugak org lain yg kena mcmtu.. Pegi receptionist dh tutup.. Smpai pukul 7 je. Pabenda la.. Kalau ya pon takut kami lmbat smpai ke kami xjadi sampai ke, call tanya.. Masukkn dlm details kena check in before pukul 7.. Xbaik menganiaya org.. Last minute mcm tu, mmg byk pginapan full book la.. Sedih kami mencari tmpt mnginap mlm2 dgn penat sharian dh.. Punah harapan nk tidur brsama bunyi pukulan ombak, bukak2 pintu tgok pantai..
