Oh well where do I start! Me and my husband had always been a lover of serenity and non-touristy beautiful quiet beaches. Pulang Resort was exactly it! We were already mesmerized by the beautiful drive in with natural trees and lagoon on our left and the beautiful coastal on our right. We could not wait for our adventure and my enquiries and the booking via WhatsApp with Jem and Wani were flawless as well.||We were greeted by very warm and smiley ladies and the check-in and payments were pretty brief as well. We booked 2 Sunrise Chalet Seafront; we love the wooden village vibes and of coz we needed our front tickets to the beach! Unfortunately the WIFI at these chalets were not strong at all as they were located at the far corner. We were almost at the brim of disappointment but Wani was very quick with her recovery by giving us 2 suggestions. ONE - We change to Sunset chalet; it's bricks and off seafront or TWO - They would get us a SIM Card with data.||I already fallen in love with my wooden room with cute verandah and picturing having tea with my hubby while watching the sunset and chatting (as there was no TV) so I refused to move. I bought a lot of data, so I am good but they were very sweet enough to get a SIM Card for my husband. My elderly parents forgo the sea front wooden chalet (it has too many steps and drops for them, hence not too elderly-friendly) and prefer the brick ones instead, it has TV and strong WIFI as well, so our issue was settled!||But Wani went another 2 notches up! I was asking her if I could loan a TV (if they had extras, it was not a must!) and would pay for it. She insisted that she will arrange one for me as soon as possible and not to worry about any payment as all she wanted was for Pulang Resort guests to be as comfortable, happy and she was hoping that the TV could compensate our little WIFI issue and separation with my parents. We were touched, really! Very sweet of her.||The next morning, after Fajr me and my husband sat at the verandah while waiting for the sunrise. My oh My... It was too beautiful we had to have a closer look and crossed over to the beach. Calm sea under the gentle rays of the sun, a light breeze and the relaxing sound of the waves lapping on the shore. Pulang Resort threw in some logs on their white sandy beach for guests to sit and watch. Our eyes were fixed and full of praised by the beauty of the Al-Mighty. Beautiful, Really! :)||We were advised to WhatsApp them our break options the day before. We had about 5 options and the packs would come in a bento set and placed at the front of our room about 8AM everyday (they accommodated our request on one of the days to send earlier at 7AM as we had an Island Hopping trip too). Breakfast was scrumptious! One of the days, I had Nasi Kerabu! Oh my! Really! So Good! We love the simplicity (don't need a whole tasteless buffet spread!). It was really nice tucking into our breakfast and kuehs on benches provided just in front of our chalet.||As for other meals, we were glad we rented a car while staying there as cafes and restaurants and the closest minimart were about 5mins drive away. It will be hard if you not have a transport here. ||Anyway back to Pulang, Wani too arranged an Island Hopping Trip for us too with Ombak Pantai Holiday! Highly recommended as the boys operating that trip were really gracious and took care of us really well. She too arranged a pick up for us on our last day to Besut Jetty. ||All we can say is.. Pulang resort was SO accommodating and we could really feel that this is a service with a wholesome heart! Thank you very much for making our stay a really memorable one! Pulang Resort, we are FULL of praises for you up till now! We could not help mentioning you to our family and friends! Keep it up and may this Resort maintains it serenity and blessed always. Hope to see you...
Read moreI recently stayed with my family for our family day at Pulang Resort in Pantai Mangkuk, Terengganu, and was quite disappointed with the experience. Despite the beautiful location, the resort suffers from serious maintenance and service issues.
There were ongoing problems with water supply sometimes there was no water at all, which made it extremely inconvenient for basic needs like showering and using the toilet. The cleanliness of the rooms and facilities was also below standard, which was very surprising given the image the resort promotes online.
To make matters worse, the management showed little to no willingness to cooperate or address our concerns. We tried raising the issues politely, but were met with indifference and poor attitude. For a place that positions itself as a premium getaway, this was deeply disappointing.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Pulang Resort until they seriously improve their facilities and customer service.
To top it off, they delayed returning our deposit with vague and unreasonable excuses, it was completely unprofessional behavior.
It’s disappointing to see a resort with so much potential treat its guests this way. Until major improvements are made in both their infrastructure and customer service, I would strongly advise others to...

My wife and I booked a room facing the pool. Initially, we chose Pool View 1, but the owner gave us a great suggestion to go for Pool View 3 instead, as it’s more comfortable. We were given the option to view both rooms, and after seeing them ourselves, we happily chose Pool View 3. ❤
The room and bathroom were clean. A prayer mat was also provided for our prayers. ❤
The aircond was super cold, and there was also a fan in the room, though we didn’t need to use it. There was no TV in our room, but that wasn’t a problem at all since most of our time was spent outside enjoying activities. ❤
The resort’s location is really strategic and beautiful — it’s nestled right between the river and the sea. Both the sunrise and sunset views were stunning. ❤
They also offer reasonably priced day trips to Redang. We’ll never forget the amazing snorkeling experience there. Big shoutout to the friendly boat crew from “Ombak Pantai” (thanks to AhChong and his buddy!). ❤
If we ever get the chance, we’d definitely come back to Pulang Resort to enjoy more beautiful moments there. ❤
That’s all from us —...
