A trip in paradise... What an unbelievable experience we have had at Six Senses. This is an amazing resort for couples and families. We have currently stayed at Six Senses for 6 nights, with another night remaining in over the sunset water villa on Jetty A. With Six Senses, we have been given a private concierge called Guest Experience Manager (GEM). If we have any requests we can contact our GEM directly, which is very handy. The room is really beautifully designed and the size is much bigger than the average room size in Maldives. Lots of food options, activities for all and entertainment for kids within the resort. Great service from friendly staff members (from reception area to kitchen to water sport center, everyone) and from dedicated resort host. There are several restaurants on the island offer variety type of food from Japanese, Vietnamese to Mediterranean and seafood buffet (highly recommended) with the yummy Maldivian's lobster. The wine and beer lists are very good with selections cater to pretty much everyone. Overall we are very happy with our stay at Six Senses Laamu. We have enjoying the serenity, the services, the beach quality & food. This is a resort I would highly recommend to anyone who is planning a trip to The Maldives. If you choose to stay at this resort - stay in a water villa! Better yet, a water villa with pool. There are Beach Villas locating around the West, South and East sides of the resort. The West side sees waves and that's where surfers go. All Water Villas locating on Jetties A/B/C are on the East side of the island. The water on the East side is shallow and calm for swimming and snorkeling. The one bad thing about this place is that we will have to leave to go back to reality... ;-( Shukuriyya... Nasir (reservation) Abdulla and Najah (GEMs) for very accommodating Corie (the Den - kids club) Wajeeh (restaurants) Shamin and so many others that I cannot remember the names. Everyone at the resort is super nice including the GM, lolol...

When it comes to describing my recent stay at the Six Senses Laamu resort in the Maldives, it's hard not to sound overly enthusiastic. But to be honest, this place genuinely blew me away with its exceptional service, amenities, and overall experience. Right from the start, the staff were attentive and caring. I felt welcomed and well-taken care of throughout my stay, which is a testament to their commitment to guest satisfaction. The facilities at the resort were top-notch. The 2-bedroom villa I stayed in was not just comfortable, but it had an amazing view. Waking up every morning to the sight of the beautiful Indian Ocean was truly something else. Not to mention, the spa was great. Whether you're into wellness or just need a good relaxing session, you won't be disappointed. Now, let's talk about the food. The Leaf restaurant was a highlight. The chef clearly knows what he's doing because every meal was delightful. It was a blend of traditional Maldivian flavors with a modern touch, making each dining experience unique and exciting. What really surprised me though, was their Ice Cream Studio. They had more than 48 flavors! I never thought I would find such a wide variety of ice cream at a resort. It was a fun and unexpected touch that definitely added to the overall charm of the place. Lastly, one of the unique features of the resort was its 'barefoot policy'. At first, it might seem odd, but walking around barefoot made the experience feel more natural and relaxing. It really drove home the point that this place is all about comfort and being in tune with nature. In conclusion, I had a fantastic time at Six Senses Laamu. Everything, from the villa and view, to the food and facilities, was superb. I especially loved the wide variety of ice cream and the unique barefoot policy. It felt like a little slice of paradise and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway.

Flawless execution from each team (airport pick up team/F&B management/housekeeping/dive and surf centres) made our belated honeymoon experience perfect. Breakfast specials and fresh juices & smoothies change daily. Food quality at each restaurant is also top notch and we felt we were dining at a Michelin-started restaurant every night. Especially desserts at every restaurant were exceptional, particularly Zen’s matcha tart!! Our GEM (Ath-har) was so accommodative and responsive to all our inquiries. Marine biologists who run snorkelling sessions are very helpful and knowledgable as well. House reef and sea grass areas are just phenomenal, we got to see eagle rays and a green sea turtle just casually chilling next to our water villa jetty. The most amazing part was the sunset beach dinner with a breathtaking view of the Indian ocean and excellent lobster dishes (bisque was superb!). You get to see baby sharks lurking around the shore when crabs come out post sunset! It’s a real challenge to try all 48 different flavours of amazing homemade ice cream and we wish to go back there soon to complete our quest. Lastly, spa experience with either ocean or jungle views is remarkable. Could easily say this was the best holiday we’ve ever had and Six Senses Laamu really set the bar high for our next holiday trip!

Almost 30 hours of traveling, coming from California, was all worth it! Once my wife and I saw the clear turquoise waters and amazing views, we forgot about how long we have traveled. From the moment we stepped off the speedboat, we were warmly greeted by Marteyne, the GM, and other management staff, and introduced to our GEM (guest experience manager) Tom. From then on, we were under Tom's care. He definitely did not disappoint. He checked on us everyday to make sure we were satisfied with everything. He was easy to get a hold of and always tried his best to accommodate our needs and requests. Tom is one of the reasons we loved our stay at the resort. As I mentioned earlier, the views on this place are gorgeous. The pictures and videos can't do justice as to how beautiful this place is. We stayed at one of their over water villas and it was amazing. The design is unique and has all the amenities you need plus more! It feels very luxurious but also very earth friendly. The bed, pillows, chairs, and sofas were very comfortable. They cleaned our room twice a day; once during the day time and then at night. We were very satisfied with our room. We had no issues during our stay. The design and structure of whole island matches the theme of its villas: Unique luxury while being earth friendly and focusing on sustainability. You will notice that they hardly use any plastic or paper in the island. I suggest going on the Back of the House tour as you will see how the behind the scenes of how the island runs and what they are doing to be as self sufficient as possible. The island is kept very clean by the staff. You always see someone cleaning up the walkways/ bike ways and the beaches. Besides the views, the quality of service and the staff is what makes the experience and stay here unforgettable. Almost everyone we met were genuinely warm and friendly. We would like to specifically mention Ansaam and Moses not only for their excellent service but also their friendship. Every time we saw them, they were always very happy to see us and would always strike up a conversation with us and share about their work and educate us about local culture. They also made sure we were always taken care of throughout our stay. The service at all the restaurants we ate at (Longitude, Leaf, Chill bar, and Sip sip) were top notch. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and accommodating about any specific requests you have about the food or beverages. Each course they served was a culinary journey for our taste buds! Leaf and Longitude were our favorites for dinner. I recommend trying seafood and any of the local dishes! We also recommend eating at the Surf and Turf BBQ at the beach, if you get a chance. It was amazing experience with good food and beautiful ambiance. We left every meal feeling satisfied! One of the best attributes of this resort is the FREE ICE CREAM! We took full advantage of it during our stay! :) A variety of flavors to choose from that will satisfy anyone! My wife is lactose intolerant but she had no issues at all eating the ice cream there! The staff, especially the chef, at ICE is very friendly. We also had a pleasant experience with their dive center, Deep Blue Divers. The diving staff and boat crew were helpful and friendly. The diving gear they had are excellent quality. We would like to thank Petty for being a fantastic and friendly dive guide. She made us feel comfortable. They took us to some beautiful dive sites and had an enjoyable experience! Overall, our time at Six Senses Laamu was amazing and unforgettable. There are many resorts to choose from in the Maldives. I'm sure most of them will have great views, good service, and even good reviews. But let me tell you, from first hand experience, if you choose to stay at Six Senses, you will not be disappointed. The experiences, the views, and the service are beyond what you would expect anywhere else. They make sure you have a luxurious experience that you will remember...

We spent one week at the Six Senses Laamu on our honeymoon and it was truly spectacular! We loved everything about the experience from the transfer to the resort, the GEM, the overall service, the quality of the food, the snorkelling and the incredibly beautiful surroundings of the resort. We had a small problem at the beginning whereby our GEM Ismael did not receive our information even though we had sent it ahead of our visit so he didn't know much about us or that we were there on our honeymoon but this didn't really affect our stay as he was so friendly and made sure our stay was a comfortable and enjoyable one. We especially loved that the entire resort is extremely environmentally conscious and this was evident throughout our entire stay. We stayed at a Laamu water villa and adored the cute rustic style of the villas. By the second day of my stay, I turned to my husband with a sad face and said I was already missing the place even though we still had another 5 days there! We found all the staff at the resort to be very friendly and knowledgeable about the resort and their particular area of work. Special mention goes to Ismael, our GEM who was super helpful and always available to assist us or answer our queries. We enjoyed the morning yoga session with Sandra who taught it wonderfully. On our second evening, I noticed Modjo, the F&B manager, flying a drone and we had bought a drone along with us but didn't know how to use it. I shyly asked if he could give my husband a quick tutorial on the basics and he was so kind to take time out of his evening to teach my husband on the beach after all the guests had left. I think my husband bonded with Modjo over this and we were able to fly our drone the next day when we went to a private sandbank and got some spectacular footage which we are making into a mini honeymoon YouTube video! Thank you so much to Modjo! Nasaroo (not sure if the spelling is correct) was always super friendly and gave us some great tips of how and where to take the best photos. We dined at Zen 3 nights in a row and each night we tried out different dishes and I'd say in general, the food was very good! Our waiter at Zen (unfortunately I didn't get his name) was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the dishes and patiently helped us pick the dishes each night. Abi at the ice-cream parlour was always very chatty and friendly whilst serving us. We enjoyed diving twice with Hassan who was very patient and showed us many colourful sea creatures. I was a little bit nervous about the dive as I hadn't dived for a while and I had problems with my equalizing but Hassan stayed calm and was patient with me until I felt comfortable to dive deeper. I work in social media and asked Ismael if I could meet the resort's social media officer for an informal chat and this was promptly arranged. I met Hassif on the last day of our trip and he was very happy to talk me through the various things the resort did over social media which for me was very interesting. Overall we had a fantastic time, I was so happy everyday I was literally skipping around the island! Even my husband who is usually a homebody and craves to go home after travelling for a week said he was very sad to leave and wished he could stay longer! That is a testament to how much we enjoyed our time at Six Senses Laamu! One small regret we had was we asked if it was possible to upgrade to a Laamu water villa with pool sometime during our stay even if it was just for one night and we were willing to pay for the upgrade but unfortunately this was not possible. We requested some pumice stones and for some lemongrass and lavender essential oils for our pillows at night but I think they forgot. Our stay would have been even more perfect but we still had an amazing time. We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone at the Six Sense Laamu for making our honeymoon such a fantastic and memorable experience! We hope to visit you guys again in the not too...
