The island is truly spectacular! It’s perfectly designed and maintained however people should know it’s artificial and we found this out after we left. You can tell there’s a vibe that does not make it natural, neither it’s wild. It looks “too perfect” to be real. The rooms and villas are the best of the best and the design is exquisite. The quality of the food is excellent and their breakfast is phenomenal!! Now the drawback: the comfort of the bed and mattress is non existent. We requested different options and the pillow menu and it only got worse. We never rested and we ended up worse than what we arrived. Full of pain and sores in different parts of the body. Additionally all their outdoor furnishings are designed to be uncomfortable. They just look nice and stylish but sun loungers do not recline, nor they have head or arm rests and this is everywhere in the resort no matter where you are or what villa you book. Additionally the water villas have no shade, no outdoor plants nor green and there are NO UMBRELLAS in the resort so you literally roast in the sun or get wet in the rain if you want to be outside. The resort and all it offers is overpriced for what you get. The whole experience is designed to extract as much money as possible from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. This is truly a shame because everyone is perfectly groomed to do this and it is obvious. Bear in mind that you will never be given the choice to pay as you consume and they will force you to put everything on the room and give you no time to review the bill of your extras only upon literally 5 minutes before your speedboat departs. This is truly stressing and unacceptable. Unfortunately this and the discomfort of their bed and furniture will make us never to return again neither recommend the resort to anyone. Finally, you should also be aware that the only pool the have is full of kids (there’s no adults only area) and the music is unbearable like if you are in a nightclub, so it’s impossible to disconnect and listen to the sounds of nature only. Extra requests will not be accommodated like for example lowering the volume of the music or arranging more isolated sun loungers. They are all very polite but do nothing to accommodate from the Manager (Mohammed Ashraf) to butler or staff. Jumeirah Maldives is a place to show off for instagrammers but definitely not for people who care for value for money, comfort and disconnection.

This was my third visit to Maldives the first was at Niyama resort the second was at Anantara Kihava resort and the third was at Lux North on the 16th of Feb 2019 for 5 nights. The official opening was 1st of Feb so everything was brand new. We were comparing between the previous great 2 resorts and Lux: "all over water villas" 1- Rooms: Lux wins by far it has the biggest and greatest room balcony and pool among the 3 resorts + there is a roof top, the only difference its not a cottage style as usual Maldives resort and the bathroom doesn't overlook the sea. 2- Service & Facilities: i would say that they are all the same in terms of the 7 stars service and attention to details, Lux have an ice cream shop and an amazing tennis court right on the beach, spa was wonderful but i would give Niyama the best Spa One major advantage that you can reach Lux with luxury speed boat 1 hour its cheaper and more relaxing than seaplane Also the daily activities schedule which will definitely keep you busy I would recommend for Lux having bicycles around for the gusts and performing a traditional drums while gust arrival also to work more on the privacy of the villas for over water ppl on the walk way can see the private pool and beach villas need to grow more trees as they are totally exposed The result of the comparison: 1-Niyama and Lux 2-Anantara And i am sure Lux will be the first soon once they complete all the small things that they working on Thanks to John the Manager and his beautiful wife Isabella who were all around the place checking that things are in place thanks for Freed sidiq from the restaurant who always took care of us with a big smile thanks to Murat the Turkish chef and Ivy for her smile

We’ve just come back from our third stay at Jumeirah Maldives and it’s safe to say this place has our hearts. Our butler Maazy was incredible, always one step ahead, kind, thoughtful and so lovely with the kids. They’re 7 and 9 and completely adored her. She made everything easy and went out of her way to make the trip extra special. The kids club was another highlight. Mae and Hafsa were warm, fun and full of energy. The kids couldn’t wait to go back each day. We stayed in an overwater villa this time and were totally blown away. The room was huge, the indoor-outdoor bathroom felt like something out of a dream, and the view from the infinity pool is etched in my memory. Quiet mornings, turquoise water, complete peace. The snorkelling was amazing too even though the sea was a little rough at times. we saw turtles, sharks, stingrays and even an octopus. And the sunset fishing trip was such a laugh. The crew were so welcoming and enthusiastic, and we caught loads of fish. The food was out of this world. Every meal was exceptional. A special thank you to Chef Dennis at Kayto, who went above and beyond to make sure my daughter (who can’t have dairy) was totally looked after. She was spoilt with delicious treats and never once felt like she was missing out. And I can’t not mention Debby Yang, who made us feel so welcome and arranged the most unforgettable sunrise yoga on the sandbank. It was absolutely breathtaking, one of those moments that stays with you long after you leave. We’ve stayed in a lot of beautiful places over the years, but Jumeirah Maldives is up there with the best. Already counting down to the next trip.

If I could give this resort 10 stars, I would. We celebrated our honeymoon here and spent 9/10 days here. It was the best time of my entire life. We have never received such excellent service in our entire life. The island is absolutely stunning and has a lot to offer. It's not that big, but it's the perfect size. I personally walked the island almost every morning and did sunrise yoga a lot. The gym is spectacular and has a great view. All of the girls were amazing at Yoga and spa. I would love to thank them from the bottom of my heart as I have a new passion for yoga. I will continue to practice yoga and get better, so I can come back and be more advanced jajajajaja (thank you Tatyana, Chimi and Da). I had the pleasure of visiting the spa while I was there and I did my nails. Tatyana was amazing, calm and became a wonderful friend. Parasailing was amazing! We also went to the spa for a massage and it was one of the most relaxing massages we've had. I would love to thank the girls once again. They were amazing and you will not regret it. A very special thanks to our butler Satto. He went above and beyond during our stay. I forgot things at home and he personally brought them to our villa. His service is immeasurable. He really made our stay incredible. Our overwater bungalow was out of this world. We originally booked the deluxe water villa and were even upgraded to the prestige villa. I can't boast more about our honeymoon as it was really a dream come true. There are soo many people to thank here and I hope I don't forget anyone. Special shoutout to Nifaz at house keeping. Nifaz cleaned for us and took such good care of us. He spoiled us with towels, soaps, and always kept our villa immaculate. He even surprised us with a beautiful tub filled with flowers and designs. He always did special characters with the towels. Thank you so much. You were amazing. Not to mention, our villa was filled with goodies when we walked in. Thank you Jumeriah. Special thanks to Stefano. His service is incredible and he really makes a difference at Jumeirah. He personally greeted us every morning and every night while we ate. He made special meals for us along with the executive chef. Ahmed and Sattar took care of us by the pool and they were amazing. I know there was other people there to at Shimmers (I'm sorry if I forgot names). Shimmers and Kayto were my favorites. Shimmers was my personal favorite. The greek food is amazing. I loved the greek salad, octopus salad, tzatziki, the chicken skewers, just everything was amazing honestly. Don't forget to try to the prosciutto pizza (another personal favorite). We had the pleasure of also trying the floating breakfast and wow it was amazing. They brought us two floats. One of them was a heart shaped one and was brought to us by the house (thank you guys) I'm not sure if I remember all their names. I really want to thank room service. They took suchhhhhh amazing care of us. Everyone on this island is amazing. Breakfast was amazing as well. We were always greeted with a smile, champagne and lots of food. Special shoutout to Naji and Anoop that took the best care of us during our romantic dinners. They went above and beyond. We even had a special dinner in the big villa and it was an unforgettable moment. We will never forget. Our private breakfast in the lagoon was a dream come true. Richie and Jina were also great. The girl at the ice cream shop was amazing. Everyone at Kayto and breakfast restaurant (i'm sorry for forgetting names). I would really like to thank everyone at the breakfast restaurant. Their service was amazing!!!! All the guys in the dive shop. I had an amazing experience snorkeling and parasailing. Thank you to everyone at Jumeriah Maldives. We will...

Marvellous! We chose Jumeirah Maldives to celebrate our honeymoon & birthday and we couldn’t have made a better choice. They exceeded our expectations. From the moment we landed, one of their staffs took care of our luggages, boarding pass for the seaplane, escorted us via a private car to the seaplane lounge for light snacks and then to the seaplane departure gate. The seaplane experience is breathtaking, we got to see both of the city and islands with beautiful lagoons and reefs. After we landed we had the villa staffs waiting to welcome us with traditional music, flower and refreshments, thank you for such a warm welcome. Then we met Arif, our private butler who then drove us and showed us around the resort. He introduced all the outlets, restaurants, gym, spa, shops etc. Now the best part was our villa tour. Arif introduced each and every corner of our spacious lagoon villa with a beautiful pool and stunning coral right below the villa. Arif was just a phone call or a message away for anything and everything we ever wanted. He’s so attentive, efficient and caring. We had plenty of surprises in the room everyday. First day upon arrival we got lovely honeymoon surprises bubbly, cakes, fresh fruits, cheese lollipops, honeymoon decorations in the bedroom, second day we got birthday decorations in the bedroom, third day we got a birthday cake, forth day we got a floral bath. All these gestures and non stop surprises they do to make us happy and feel extra special is very memorable which makes us want to come back to only Jumeirah. All the staffs in all the restaurants were amazing. Especially at glow where we went for breakfast everyday and for dinner occasionally, the girls and boys were so welcoming, cheerful and caring. They looked so happy to serve us. Upon departure when we took off, all the staffs were waving us goodbye which melted my heart. The experience doesn’t end here. When we landed by seaplane, there was another Jumeirah staff waiting for us who escorted us via private car to the international airport, helped us check in, get boarding passes and saw us off just before the immigration gate. All these little things makes Jumeirah a seven star. They really take good care of you. We are super grateful for Arif and the whole villa team for making our experience an unforgettable one. If only i could give you 10 stars. All in all i highly recommend Jumeirah Maldives if you want to make your stay special and memorable, trust me you wouldn’t want any...
