Ozen Reserve Bolifushi, South Male Atoll — Hotel in Malé Atoll

We had the absolute pleasure of spending a wonderful week at OZEN Reserve Bolifushi. It was our first visit – but certainly not our last.

This hotel and island truly impress with outstanding service, luxurious accommodations, a wide range of activities, and exceptional quality. The extraordinary experience doesn’t begin upon arrival at the island, but already at Malé Airport.

Right after landing, we were warmly welcomed by friendly hotel staff who took care of our luggage and guided us to a private, air-conditioned lounge where drinks and snacks were served. They handled everything, including the necessary paperwork. Shortly afterward, we boarded a spacious and luxurious yacht. The 30-minute transfer to Bolifushi Island was already relaxing, with the staff ensuring we could begin our vacation stress-free.

Upon arrival at Bolifushi, we were welcomed with live music, flowers, and fresh coconut drinks. We were then taken to our villa and introduced to our personal butler, who provided all the necessary information – including his mobile number for direct contact. Our butler, Asfar, was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay. He kept us updated with daily activities, kids club schedules, and answered every question we had. Each day, he checked in briefly to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. His professionalism and dedication were truly commendable.

We stayed in a beach villa on the south side of the island. The villa was spacious, featuring a large bathroom, a private pool, and direct access to our own stretch of beach. The way the villas are designed ensures complete privacy.

We especially recommend the south side of the island because the house reef is nearby – perfect for snorkeling. Every day we discovered stunning corals and colorful fish. A highlight was spotting a blacktip reef shark and a stingray. It felt like entering a different world each time. Of course, the entire island is beautiful.

Each family member receives a bicycle with a personalized license plate – a charming touch! You can easily explore the island this way, whether heading to the gym, kids club, or your favorite restaurant. At the main pool, you’re served the "drink of the day," and lunchtime offers BBQ or delicious finger food. The pool area has plenty of cabanas, so there’s no need to rush out early to reserve a spot.

The international restaurant next to the pool offers outstanding cuisine that leaves no wishes unfulfilled. We especially appreciated the clear labeling of all ingredients – one family member has a severe nut allergy, so this attention to detail gave us great confidence. The kitchen staff even offered to prepare special nut-free dishes, including fresh donuts made daily. Dining right on the beach, with breathtaking views, made every meal special. (Watch out – the resident heron might try to "borrow" a bite of your food in exchange for a photo op!)

In addition to the wide selection of restaurants – including international, Asian, Indian, Arabian, and French cuisine – there are many activities available: snorkeling, the spa, the kids club, water aerobics, and more. The fitness center is well-equipped and beautifully located, surrounded by water and beaches, allowing you to work out while watching the sunrise and schools of fish. If anything, we would love to see more equipment for bodyweight exercises, aerobics, or stretching. Currently, the focus is more on weight and cardio training.

To sum it all up: this was our best vacation ever. Our expectations were high, but the staff at OZEN Reserve Bolifushi exceeded them in every way. We will cherish the thousands of photos and the wonderful memories for a lifetime.

Ozen have taken over the previous Jumeirah property and transformed it into a luxury all inclusive property.

We are no fans of all inclusive packages. We are quite the foodie family, health conscious and well travelled. I was intrigued to try luxury all inclusive for the first time. We had two spa treatments included (min stay 7 nights), a fabulous choice of champagne, wines and premium spirits.

Restaurants: The resort has 4 restaurants - we loved our breakfast experience at Vista. Santosh - who is the restaurant manager - is a true above and beyond person with a lovely way of taking care of every guest. He will not forget the slightest detail of how you or the kids like their breakfast. I would say you can definitely tell that the staff is well selected - they make all the difference. We were impressed by the service levels of Khaled - who just joined the resort and yet had a great eye for detail and fantastic service attitude. A few other staff members who stood out were Imran and Lucy who always have the most truthful smile and will make sure you enjoy every moment.

The Indian restaurant was an absolute bliss - and as a vegetarian I enjoyed a lot having a vast choice on the menu. The Arabic restaurant was a big surprise (in a very good way). Living in Dubai we did not expect such fantastic Arabic food and I have to say their Egyptian chef is outstanding and served us some of the best falafel ever.

Origin is the fine dining restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and impressive wine collection.

Spa: Another big (and very positive) surprise was the spa. The staff are just exceptional. Having been to a number of spas, and after 4 experiences at the spa in Bolifushi, I salute the property for having selected such fantastic spa therapists and creating a wonderful ambience there. Really - outstanding! Tini & Nei were two of the fantastic therapists.

Kids Club: Our kids are 3 and 4 and LOVED the kids club. Zam is an absolute superstar and if he is not already, he should definitely be the manager of the kids club. Fantastic attitude and connection with kids, always preparing the activities, keeping an eye on everything, and despite a full club during a rainy day - always keeping the smile. The team there - like Hafsa and Jam - are wonderful and the kids club would not be as good without them. Another advantage is the pool at the kids club. Perfect for kids from all ages - fantastic feature.

Dive Center: The dive center is great, super well equipped and there are plenty of free activities (non motorized) like stand up paddling.

Arrival & Departure: Something very important to mention was the arrival and departure experience. As one of the few resorts, Ozen have their own lounge at the airport - so you can arrive and go, sit comfortably and have a coffee before proceeding to your boat. The boat is outstanding. Absolutely gorgeous and stands out from all other boats. It’s a well crafted arrival experience before even setting foot on the island. Once you arrive you are assigned a butler who takes care of you from start to finish. We were lucky enough to be with Mami, and she was very attentive and helpful at all times.

To summarize: We will definitely be back. This resort is worth the price and the quality of what you receive stands out. The proximity to Male, the simple trip to the island and the overall experience made this our first and much needed...

My first time at Ozen bolifushi hotel in Maldives We went there for our 3rd anniversary.

We booked our flights and did the pcr test and filled the Maldives health declaration before we went to maldives.

When we landed in Maldives we were welcomed by the hotel stuff and escort us to the lounge to wait for the yacht to take us to the island they served us with cold water , coffee plus the lounge had a nice decore and a cooling AC.

When we arrived to the island we were welcomed by stuff singing Maldivian song they offered us with cold coconut it was delicious. I will attach all the images hopefully so you can see the trip. Our butler Mr.Mohamed was an arabic speaker he made out stay at the island felt like more than 5 starts hotel he arranged everything for us ( dinner reservation, spa , snorkelling equipment , sport activities) he was very helpful and Literally did everything to make our stay amazing. Me and my husband we tried both villas ( beach villa & water villas with slide) You can go around the island either by the golf cart by your butler or by a bicycle.

Both villa we had a very nice experience and we were very happy coming to Maldives.

In the morning we usually order our breakfast from “Vista del mar” restaurant they serve buffet with all kind of fruits, vegetables ,donuts ,muffins,pancakes everything. chef Mr.chetan was literally the best chef on the island our breakfast and lunch was made by this amazing chef .The food was cooked so perfect and delicious. I never ate food so delicious and perfectly cooked as i ate in Maldives by the amazing chef. Thank you you made my day and stay at the hotel more superb The first day at the hotel for the lunch I ordered chicken breast with spinach and mash potatoes oh god it was soooo delicious the chicken was cooked perfect and the presentation of the plate was amazing.

I also tried their 🌮 tacos with chicken i will give it 5 stars This restaurant called “Vista del mar” At the map you can see the name of the restaurant at number (17) Their breakfast is from 7 -11 As for dinner our butler arranged our reservation at “saffron” restaurant. The atmosphere makes you feel your in india 🇮🇳 When you enter the restaurant they let us wash our hands with rose water it was very interesting and nice experience. The food 10/10⭐️ They serve the food in a nice platter It comes with different flavors and with 4 different type of nan bread . I ate the best biriany 😍ever very delicious the spices was not too spicy just perfect. The stuff were friendly and welcoming , it was our second favorite restaurant in the island . I will attach the images.

As for the resort they had : -kids playground very beautiful and safe -souvenir shop : were you can find hand craft and hand painted decorations as a souvenir. -They had two swimming wear shop.( were you can find kids, adults swim wear) hats . -photograph store were you can book for photoshoot. the resort have one main bar in front of the main swimming pool were they play music every night the band oh god were so great they made my stay more enjoyable at night.( the bar service is amazing and fast ) . In general the stay at ozen bolifushi was amazing worth going there and worth every penny we paid ( for service, food , enjoyable experience) very luxurious experience as well. It deserves more than 5 stars. It i conceder going there again definitely i will choose ozen bolifushi .
