Situated in the North Attol, just a short 45 minute speed boat ride from Male Airport lies the beautiful picturesque Summer Island Maldives resort. When you arrive at your pickup point for your transfer to the island you are greeted by very friendly staff on hand to take your luggage and get you on board. A cold bottle of water and a ice cold face cloth to take the heat away are very welcoming. On your way to the island you get to witness the stunningly clear & calm waters, and if you're lucky you might even see a dolphin or two. When you arrive at the island you can already understand why it's a barefoot experience with the crisp white sandals for all to see. When arriving from the jetty to reception there is a nice refreshing welcome drink for you and a fresh face cloth to cool off as you are adjusting to the humidity. Once checked in, you are shown the map of the island and where everything is and points of note, then you are shown to your room and shortly after your luggage arrives. The rooms them selves (we stayed in a Beach Front Superior Room with Terrace) so we had a ground floor room with quick access to the beach) are very spacious with plenty of areas to store your items away. The bathroom area is partially open air. You can get a real sense of the heat and humidity with the open back wall roof area that has some plantation in a small area of sand. From the moment you leave your terraced area, you are on the beach, keep your shoes away, ayou really won't need them. Each room has its own private sun lounger, so there is no mad rush to grab on early in the morning. On the island you can rent equipment to go snorkeling around the island and you won't be disappointed with all the various fish you can see including Sharks and Ray's, they really are a sight to see. The resort offers a free once a day snorkelling trip just slightly off the island itself where you can experience more of what the Maldives has to offer, including the chanfe to see Turtlles swimming around you! There are also opportunities to take on other excursions and experiences on the island, including driving opportunities, night snorkeling, or renting things like Jet Skis, Kayaks, & Paddle Boards. The Food on the island is absolutely amazing. There is always something to cater to for everyone at each meal time, and the chefs are always happy to be able to help and answer any questions, including relating to allergies. We had one issue when our air con stopped working correctly, and within 5 minutes, it was sorted, and the remote would sync with the unit again. 4 fault them at all. The humidity on the island can sometimes feel exhausting, so if you need water at any time, a short walk to reception or dial 0 from your room phone, and within minute's you'll have some delivered to your room. There is a gym that's free to use during the day, a library with a massive selection of books and a gift shop that sells a huge selection of Maldiviann gifts for you to remember your experience by. Outside, there is also a table tennis table and a badminton court that doubles up as a volleyball area, too, with the equipment supplied ready. There is also another beach volleyball net just a few metres away. My partner visited the spa for a head, shoulder and neck massage and from the moment you enter you are made to feel really welcome and the treatments are explained to you very well before you commence and you leave feeling very relaxed - 5star service. There is a GP on site if you ever need any assistance for $20, including sunburn related incidents. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and unwind, this is 100% recommended. Whether sitting out on the porch or out on the glorious beach front, you can sit and relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity on offer. The sunsets are amazing to watch, too. I absolutely loved spending time here on Summer Island. Highly recommend. Pros - Amazing views Fresh Fish Peaceful Tranquility Friendly Free WiFi Cashless Resort GP on site Cons If you travel half/full board drinks are expensive. A 330ml can of coke is $5

We just returned from our honeymoon in the Maldives, here at Summer Island. This was the experience of a lifetime, and it is all thanks to the wonderful people and exquisite island there. First off, we were a bit concerned with the rainy season, but we had 6 out of 8 days of wonderful sunshine. Rain here is quite pleasant, it varies between a mist-like spray and a light shower. The winds can get a bit strong while raining. That being said, it never lasted for more than 2 hours. The only real drawback of the rainy days, in my opinion, is the lack of sun, which takes away the absolute stunning beauty of the crystal clear water. The transfer from airport to island takes about 45 minutes, with a speed boat provided by Summer Island. You are greeted aboard with water and a cold, wet towel to refresh you after the long flight. Once on the island, welcoming cocktails and wet towels await, and after the paperwork, a friendly employee takes you to your room of choice. We mentioned we were in our honeymoon and our room was specially prepared in the evening with a bottle of wine, flowers and special decorations. The room was great, had good AC, universal electrical outlets (no need for adaptors), two 1L bottles of fresh drinking water twice a day (plus the option to ask for refills), an open bathroom with plants, all the bathroom gels and soaps (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion). The ocean was 10 meters away, visible from inside, and there was a little gulf with palm trees which was absolutely gorgeous. The island is about 500m long and maybe 50-100m in its widest point, which makes it feel super intimate and cozy. We would tour the island every evening before and after dinner, under the moonlight. The contour of the island is basically one continuous beach, and all of the places are beautiful and special, but the best ones, in my opinion, were 1. the beach next to the water bungalows (also where you could find the most beautiful turquoise water), 2. the gulf (at the other end of the island), and 3. the water hammock (next to the infinity pool). The wildlife is amazing. You can find all sorts of crabs, birds, fruit bats and lizards on the island. If you walk by the water bungalows, you can see one or more sharks (there were also baby sharks always swimming along the edge of the beach next to the bungalows), rarely a stingray, and even turtles if you re lucky (i had the fortune of finding one while snorkelling under the bungalows and swam with it for 10 minutes, it was very friendly and didn’t mind me petting it). Also, multi-coloured parrot fish, “Nemo and Dory” fish, barracudas and all sorts of other species. One free snorkelling trip is available (you have to schedule it with someone at the reception, the day before), taking you to a nearby reef where you can see the marine life at its core. The diving center rents snorkelling equipment at affordable prices. For sports, they have a gym, a badminton court, a ping pong table, billiards, darts, and table football, all free. Most water sports and activities are very expensive, in my opinion - hundreds of dollars for the paid snorkelling trip, scuba diving and others, however more accesible activities include the likes of kayaking, paddle boarding or windsurfing. The food was delicious and plenty to choose from, they always offer local cuisine, but a few dishes change every day, depending on the culinary theme. Also, the background music during meals was wonderful, a mix of classical, jazz and instrumental pop - subtle detail, but it made the lowly-lit dinner that much better. Drink-wise, the beach bar had natural drinks and cocktails for a decent price, like fresh coconut water (served in coconut). And last but not least, the staff was absolutely wonderful, always eager to help, very kind, well spoken and friendly. For us, it truly has been paradise on earth, we have nothing bad to say about it. Thank you, Summer Island!

Summer Island - Maldives 28.10 - 07.11.2025 The following is a brief summary of our arrival at Summer Island - Maldives. After landing in Male and a relaxed immigration process, a staff member from the tour operator (DERTOUR) directed us to the appropriate transfer terminal. From there, a friendly employee showed us the way to an air-conditioned waiting area. After a short speed boat ride, we safely reached the island. We were warmly welcomed there and taken to our rooms. The Stay In short: The island is amazing! White beaches, turquoise-blue sea, and excellent accommodation. TLDR: Summer Island is a small island – it takes perhaps 5 minutes to walk from one side to the other. Despite this, the island never feels crowded. There are plenty of opportunities to sit back and relax, swim, or engage in sports. Besides a badminton court, ping-pong table, and volleyball court, there is also a fully equipped gym that is open continuously. Water sports enthusiasts also get their money's worth. There are guided snorkeling and diving tours, as well as water skiing, wakeboarding, and the "Malle Banana" (a type of towable inflatable). Canoeing, jet skiing, and sunset sailing complete the offerings. The entire island is surrounded by white sand beaches with turquoise-blue water. Even without a guided snorkeling tour, you quickly get what you came for if you want to see some fish. Schools of small fish are often found close to the shore, and if you swim a little further out, larger fish quickly join the small ones. All sorts of colourful hustle and bustle can be found near reefs and jetties. All very impressive. Towards the evening, larger marine life also strays close to the beaches, and we were able to observe several rays and sharks. If you are looking for a small change from the ocean, you will be very happy with the infinity pool. Here you can simply drift along or watch crabs sunbathing. When not in the water, sunbeds and other seating areas invite you to relax. Or you can sit at one of the bars and enjoy the excellent service. We cannot stress it enough – the service on this island is world-class. The entire staff is friendly, attentive, courteous but not intrusive. The people truly go the extra mile to make your stay as pleasant as possible, so that absolutely no wishes remain unfulfilled. A big compliment also goes to the technical team. The people did a great job decorating and lighting the main bar for Halloween. The food is good and plentiful. The buffet restaurant offers a daily changing selection of very good dishes. We always thoroughly enjoyed the curries. In addition to the buffet restaurant, there is also an à la carte restaurant, which we did not use. However, we booked the "Wine & Dine - Food Experience" on the advice of our waiter. This gave us a magnificent four-course meal on the beach with perfectly paired wines. The rooms – we had a Superior Vista Room with sea view – are modern, tastefully furnished, and air-conditioned – we certainly slept very well here. The room service, as expected, is also excellent. The room is tidied, cleaned, and water bottles are refilled in the morning and evening. Additionally, the resort offers a very good laundry service. In summary, we must say that we had a dreamlike time at Summer Island - Maldives. From breakfast with herons, swimming and snorkeling with Nemo and Dory, short walks with geckos, lizards, and fruit bats, to relaxed afternoons and evenings at one of the bars, often with live music, and dinner on the beach or in the restaurant, absolutely no wishes were left open, and we had a paradisiacal time. A huge compliment goes to all the people involved who made our stay so wonderful and unforgettable. A big thank you to my wife, who persuaded me to go on the trip.

7 nights of relaxation, rest and recuperation!!!||Summer Island was a great experience for me. |The staff are friendly and the Services polite fast and efficient. I always had someone to speak with and I felt respected acknowledged and celebrated.||The team work incredibly hard to make you feel at home and this shined through brilliantly with the level of service that they provide. The front desk check in on you from time to time to make sure that all of your needs are being satisfied. They genuinely want to make sure that you are okay and that you’re enjoying your stay.||I originally Came for my 40th birthday, as a present to myself. I am a solo traveller and a female and from the moment I arrived at the airport, it was a fast and efficient service. I lined up for about 10 minutes but I was quickly escorted to the waiting area near the ferry.||Speedboat & Reception||The boat ride the speedboat ride was smooth for the first 20 minutes and then it became a little choppy as we were going through, but by the end of it, I left the boat knowing that speedboat rides are for the strongest people. ||I was very very relieved when I saw the resort.|I will say, the Maldives is one of the most beautiful islands in the world and the waters are pristine.|The welcome was warm and I must say a big THANK YOU to Hishana and the front desk manager. ||I was escorted to my Room by Hishana and she told me all about the island, excursions as well as and the hotel. ||Beachfront Bungalow ||The views from my room were amazing!| The room was well furnished with plenty of bright colours amongst nice creams making you feel like the area is very spacious. The bathroom is an outside bathroom so for those people who are a little bit squeamish about nature coming in i.e. lizards and various little critters then just be aware of your room category. ||There is a bathroom wall, so there is complete privacy but it’s an open top bathroom. The shower is amazing. The water pressure is perfect. It gets very hot which I love and the bathroom and the bedroom are well appointed so you will lack for nothing. |The A/C can become artic, so I tended to use the fans. ||My room has an outside patio with table and chairs which is shaded. Perfect for reading or getting on with work in the mornings before it gets super hot. Stunning views with direct access to the beach. The sound of the waves is so lulling and calming. ||The food||It was a nice selection of fresh vegetables fresh fruits and international and National cuisines. There is something for everyone and themes is always plenty for those who can eat a lot.|I was given a call when I didn’t attend for just over a day when I couldn’t eat anything due to the ride to the resort, the staff called and check up on me to make sure that if everything was okay and I told them that I was fine. I felt like they actually cared.||Grounds||Everything was so beautifully manicured so well appointed even the nightlights complimented the natural beauty of the island. Every detail is taken into consideration and they provide you a good mix between nature and man-made structures.|Everything is within close proximity, boutique, the gym, the restaurant, the table tennis, the tennis courts, infinity swimming pool and beach.||I wish that they had more entertainment. It’s a very quiet hotel and relaxing hotel, so this is not a party hotel. it’s a hotel for those people who truly want to meditate who just want to unwind without big flashing lights or anything like that.||Celebrations||On the Friday the 23rd, for dinner they set up a beautiful table for me, with lights. I got a lovely chocolate cake they sang happy birthday to me.I was so happy about being able to come to summer island I didn’t expect that celebration. ||Everyone was very respectful. They wanted to know so much about you as well and I was glad that I was able to speak to some amazing human beings. I can’t comment on the water sports or the excursions because I came specifically to write my book. I came to relax unwind and Summer island was the perfect place in which to do that. ||I just want to say a big shout out to Hishana, Ali, Aku, Masdhoog, Abaan and the rest of the team for making my stay absolutely memorable and making it one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had!|| These are the types of memories that you hold...

I'm not kidding, this is the best journey me and my husband have ever taken. We haven't felt more cuddled than in this resort. The island is quite close to Male island,45m min by boat. The welcoming was warm like a real hug.The service is perfect.Everywhere around the island you see happy faces from the locals. The Island is very well maintained and that gives you an idea of how much they care about nature and guests. We had a Room vista but after 1 day the manager made us a beautiful offer of changing to premium beach villa just for free.Seemed a dream back then and is still even now when i think about it.The room service impeccable.Couldn't ask 4 more. The room boy very nice welcoming &warm person. We miss all of the service guys.In the island we never felt bored.Activities change&vary from day 2 day.You have everyday, prior to a day before booking, a snorkeling hr 4 free. That means they bring u to the reef & u and other guests snorkel around. They have 4 a price such 45/50$ p.p Manta watching (Ps:choose a calm weather day to do it ),shark snorkeling & also turtle snorkeling. We did the turtle snorkeling too and we saw a lot of turtles as well as other fishes. All the guys of the diving center are so dedicated and lovely persons.Remember to put in your luggage before traveling a snorkeling set together with fins. You will not need then to rent them & they will allow u to snorkel all around and discover the beauty of the island. There are 2 restaurants in the island. We mostly ate at Hiya restaurant. The service is again impeccable. We were treated by our favorite waiter Joy that brought us a bit more joy to our stay. The food is so good.I really miss it.Never in 14 days we ate the same dish.Twice we attended the barbecue dinner, you need to book it in advance & is not costy at all considering how much and good food you eat. They have also a good choice of Italian but even international whines. We loved them.Dining in the Hiya is such a magic thing. You eat and you enjoy the company of a lot of fishes, sharks and sometimes mantas. Also the view is spectacular. The villa is a real villa, lots of space, openednature toilets, bed so comfortable, toiletries so good(you can order a pack of toiletries if you like them, f.ex shampoo conditioner, shower gel and cream and soaps for 35$ if i remember right. You need to order 1 day or more in advance before you leave. I adore them ).So as the trip was our honeymoon we booked the sandbank picnic for 250p.couple.The sandbank is an unique experience.I really recommend it even if you are not in honeymoon. Will be just you two in the entire sand island in the middle of the Indian ocean. The resort's guys will never leave you entirely alone no worries, they stop quite far but in a watchable distance to leave you a deserved privacy).Unfortunately for us that brought the drone in the sandbank as there would have been nobody to complain, that day was too windy & drone fell into water. We couldn't take a proper stunning personal video/photos but we have our precious memory that will never fade and i am sure we will go back soon again.Last but not least we did want to take a wedding shooting as the pictures would have been unique and significant as the place to us. At start i wanted 2 bring a photographer from Male paying 700$ for 3 hrs, but i couldn't due to the fact that in the island there is already one so after discussing long with the management ,that was so keen on finding the best solution for us and after their irresistible offer i couldn't not accept it. .I can say i had so much fun shooting. So, 2 close this wonderful holiday in summerisland,me Jonida & Luca want to thank all of u guys.We can never thank you enough for making our honeymoon, trip, stay the best ever of our lives.I want to thank personally the room boy Naseem & the waiter Joy,as well as the funny, friendly & smiley supervisor Alson( thank you guys,we will never forget you) & special thanks to the photographer & the Acquasports guys for their great job & 4 the banana boat ride that...
