Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives — Hotel in Malé Atoll

Thank you very much to all the employees who really take care of the guests at high level. My review will be as follow:

WELCOME: When we landed at the Male airport, we had member of Taj Exotica received us and quickly finished all the formalities and got us on the boat to the resort. Once we reached at the resort we had warm welcome by courteous staff (apologies: I forgot the name) with traditional music. We were escorted on buggy straight to our villa where we met our Butler Adam. All the check in formalities were taken care of quickly. Within few minutes of arrival to the resort we were comfortable and were introduced to the most of the amenities. I would rate 5 stars to Adam as well as all the reception, buggy and boat staff for making us comfortable.

VILLA: We stayed in Deluxe over water villa for 5 nights. We can not fault even a single thing that we did not like. Villa is well organised with all the facilities you need during your stay. We did not have to ask for anything throughout our stay. Room service was very prompt and villa was getting cleaned 3-4 times during the day. Shaheen was the room service guy who really took care of the villa at regular interval.

BUGGY rides: Buggy is the most important part of the stay as they transport you from the villa to any amenities you want to go. I would specially mention Johnny and Omer as they were really great with their service and always prompt when called. Every time we call reception they quickly sent us buggy on time. We had chat in detail with Johnny and Omer about their work, family and life at the resort, so that we got to know their experience. Every time we asked them something they were very positive about their work and overall standards Taj Exotica provides not only to the guests but to their employees as well. They made our holidays more enjoyable.

AMENITIES: All the restaurants and bar are equipped with many options of drinks and food. Staff who works there really make you comfortable and cater your needs and guide and help you to choose the best option from food and drinks.

OCEAN DIVE CENTER: We had Scuba diving experience organised for my son at Ocean Dive Center. Akram and two other team members really took care of the scuba experience in very professional manner. They all are well trained and provide the best service. As my son was doing scuba for the first time, Akram took care of his experience with patience.

Sunset Cruise: We had sunset cruise on one of the excursion trip. Apologies I forgot the name of the 2 staff members who took us on this excursion. They were the best and made our excursion exciting. As whether was really nice on the day, We show lots of dolphins, sharks and other fishes. This was one of the best experience we had in the excursion. Thank you

24 Degrees Restaurant: One of the best service we received was at the 24 Degrees restaurant. All the staff members are well trained, courteous, polite and professional. From day one ASHRAF who took most of our orders for breakfast and dinner was the best and suggested us many dishes we never tried before. His suggestions were always on the mark and we really enjoyed many dishes at this venue. Along with ASHRAF, other staff members Shaiful and Ali and almost everyone who works at the restaurant are great. Special mention to the kitchen staff who really took extra care of our demands. Service was great and quick, food was excellent and skills which they have been trained for was commendable.

TAJ EXOTICA: We would like to pass on our big thanks to all the staff members who went above our expectation and did the best to cater our demands during our stay. Special thanks to the management who make this possible by providing the best training, motivation and professional environment. A Memorable Family Vacation at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives with my wife and her parents for a 4-night vacation, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The entire experience was delightful, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. The resort arranged a prompt pick-up for us upon our arrival, ensuring we were warmly welcomed and transported with ease. At the end of our stay, the departure service was just as impressive. The staff not only assisted us with our luggage but took it all the way through to the immigration check, which was greatly appreciated and made the process much smoother.

A special shoutout to Irfan, our server at the 24 Degrees restaurant, who brought so much joy to our meals with his bubbly personality. On our last evening, he surprised us with a beautiful piece of table art as a parting gift, and to top it off, he arranged a special chocolate dessert for us — a sweet and thoughtful gesture that we’ll never forget.

Sachith, who took care of our room, added a lovely touch to our stay. Every day, he created intricate decorations with flowers and towels, turning our room into a charming oasis. His attention to detail truly made a difference, and we looked forward to returning to the room after our day’s activities.

The spa experience was relaxing, thanks to Nutai, the spa in charge. She was incredibly attentive and took special care of my wife’s parents during their sessions, ensuring they had a rejuvenating time. Her thoughtfulness didn’t go unnoticed, as every day she not only informed us about the special yoga or aerobic sessions but also encouraged us to join.

Our butler, Alif, was prompt and always available to assist us. He was quick to arrange a wonderful glass-bottom boat experience, which was a true highlight of our trip. We were able to watch sharks, stingrays, colorful fish, and beautiful corals from the comfort of the boat. It was an unforgettable experience, and we’re so glad Alif took care of it for us!

We also had a photography session arranged, which was a delightful experience. The photographer was so pleasant to talk to and made us feel comfortable throughout the session. We had a great time capturing beautiful memories during our stay.

The entire 24 Degrees restaurant team, including Mhelen, Ismail, Riyaz, Shajan, Azzam, and others, provided excellent service throughout our stay. Every meal was a delight, thanks to their efficiency and warmth. They made us feel welcome and catered to all our needs with a smile.

Even at the bar, the service was top-notch. Every drink was expertly prepared, and the bartenders ensured we had a great time, making it a fantastic spot to unwind in the evenings.

In short, Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives exceeded our expectations in every way. The service, attention to detail, and care shown by the staff made our vacation truly special. We highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for an...

Absolute paradise. Where to start... booked the Taj as a break for 7 nights before going on to Sri Lanka and could have happily stayed for longer. Welcomed at the airport by the concierge team, who took us to a speed boat where we traveled for 20 mins to the Island (the journey was stunning!).

Welcomed off the boat by bongo players, rose petals, the General Manager, Assistant General Manger, a lady from reservations and our own butler waiting for us in a golf buggy. It wasn't even our honeymoon!

The Island: It takes about 10/ 15 mins to walk from one end of the island (spa) to the other (restaurant) but there are quiet little golf buggys running the whole time. The island was stunning, it felt like nobody else was there. The beaches were completely clean with beautiful white sand. Each sun lounger on the beach has its own picnic basket was cold water and fresh towels on all beds. All trees, plants, walkways are looked after daily and it shows, everywhere you look is beautiful, it looks like a dream.

Yes it is a beach holiday but we didn't run out of things to do once. There are trips (don't bother with the trip to Male, why leave paradise?) snorkeling, the spa, a swing in the sea, watch a tropical storm from your bath tub with surround sound music!

Accommodation: Everything was clean, exotic fruit bowl replenished daily, espresso machine in room, fresh orchids in the bathroom, they even treat you to bubble baths with rose petals... amazing. We stayed in a lagoon villa off the island (not a beach suite) The room was perfect, bathroom was huge, with a getty out the back with a ladder that lead into the lagoon. The water is incredibly clear and under the villas are a whole host of beautiful coral and fish - take your breath away stunning.

Service: Outstanding - about sums it up.

Tips: They hire out good quality Snorkel equipment and fins for free that you can keep for the time you're there. Snorkel around the island - beautiful colours, stingrays, reef shark, loads of powder-blue surgeon fish. Swim/ walk to the lagoon edge. The lagoon (the side of the villas not the beach) at it's highest point was hip height, walk out to the lagoon edge, the reef is amazing. Book one of the short trips to the Coral Gardens - simply breath taking everyone needs to see this once in their life! The free yoga on the pavilion is a great way to start the day. Food is very expensive, book the inclusive deal, where dinner is included, as to pay taxes and service charge on top is really expensive Take snacks with you, nuts, crisps, chocolate etc. - with all the snorkeling you'll need it! Ladies, everywhere is sand - leave heels at home take wedges!
