My wife and I spent eight nights at Kudafushi Resort & Spa and we were thrilled to find that our expectations were exceeded. This was not our first trip to the Maldives, so we had a previous experience to compare it with.

Here are the reasons why we loved the resort: A representative from the resort greeted us directly at the airport and helped us with everything we needed until we boarded the local flight for transfer. The transfer was fast and efficient once it started. We were transferred with a domestic flight (Ifuru) and a speedboat from the resort was ready to pick us up. We were upgraded to a Beach Villa with Pool. The best part was that nobody bragged or made us feel obligated to do anything because of the upgrade. It was a genuine surprise to us. The AC in the room worked perfectly, and we had no issues with the temperature. The room was spacious and provided maximum privacy. Our villa's backyard could not be seen from the beach by anyone else, which made us feel more comfortable. The beaches were cleaned multiple times per day, creating a more comfortable environment for guests. There was enough time allocated for each meal, so we did not feel rushed while eating. The resort used WhatsApp to communicate with guests, which was really convenient. Any issue could be addressed by the resort in a matter of minutes without waiting times. We wanted to fly our drone and the resort's policy was accommodating. We only had to ask for permission, and they guided us on how to do it without affecting anyone's privacy. We could fly, but we had to respect others, which we appreciated. The house reef was full of marine life. We saw many species of fish, eagle rays, stingrays, baby sharks, stonefish, turtles, octopuses, dolphins (one day they came close to the reef), eels, and more. Snorkeling was very enjoyable, with easy access to the reef, even when the tide was low. There was plenty of life on the island, not just in the water. We admired the fox bats, birds, geckos, lizards, and other creatures. We had plenty of options for sports (tennis, football, gym). Nobody pressured us to buy anything, and we received information about activities every day via WhatsApp. The staff was friendly, and we did not experience any inappropriate behavior. We especially appreciated the efforts of Davide, HH, and Xen, who did their best to ensure we enjoyed our vacation. The staff was experienced and tried to make our vacation better. They even helped us with two special requests that were not their responsibility. Check-out was easy, and we were offered the opportunity to spend some time on the beach and extend our All-Inclusive package until we had to leave for the seaplane. There were no extra costs. The resort was spotless, and we received twice-daily housekeeping visits. Once a day is enough, but it was good to know that the resort is committed to cleanliness.

Other things that might be an issue for some people (but were just fine for us) were: The WIFI internet is filtered, which limits the use of video streaming services or apps that consume traffic. The food was good and we always found something we liked, but it wasn't as diverse as other resorts in the Maldives. It was tasty but sometimes lacked variety. The resort operates on a different time zone than Male, which can be confusing (it's one hour ahead). Once you get used to it, it's not a problem. There are two types of all-inclusive packages, and one does not include alcoholic beverages. This was not an issue for us since we were informed when we booked our trip, but it's important for others to know so they're not surprised by additional charges. Due to erosion, a part of the beach is protected by barriers. If you don't like this and you get a villa there, it might be inconvenient. However, given that we're in the middle of the ocean, it's understandable that erosion can occur.

Overall, our experience was exceptional, and we would definitely return to Kudafushi if given the chance. Thank you for organizing our...

We initially came to the Kudafushi Resort & Spa in the Maldives for 10 days to obtain a brief and quality relaxing holiday as I am engaged in Regulatory Risk Reporting in the UK and my agenda is significantly demanding. Upon landing in the blue turquoise waters from the seaplane, I was fascinated by the magnificent location of the resort situated in a gulf of white sandy beaches intertwined with bright green flora and surrounded by crystal blue ocean lagoon melting in a sunlight of exclusive wild nature life, picturesque scenery, beach accommodation and an exquisite selection of water villas ! ||The Resort warmly welcomed us and immediately with our arrival exhibited professionalism, exceptional service, attentive attitude and positively energetic behaviour towards meeting our needs on a routine basis. I am specifically impressed by the profound excellency, enthusiasm and commitment to due diligence of the Reception team led and managed by Saamir as the Front Office Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure that we not solely have a comfortable and pleasant stay, but we furthermore experience the magic of the resort by engaging in kayaking, water sports, local island cruises and dolphin excursions ! Our stay in the water villa district was extraordinary as I could witness that the resort specializes in providing an absolutely outstanding accommodation amidst the Indian Ocean ! ||I was enchanted by the resort amenities and immediately understood that this is a truly unique resort with a clearly embedded ‘exceeding guests expectations approach,’ a passionate ambition and enthusiastic attitude to ensure that the guest is fully supplied during their holiday- via an exceptional service and professionalism demonstrated by each department and client facing segment of the Resort !||I am deeply grateful to the entire Reception team, including Monmi, Forzana and Addu for their continuously exhibited commitment for responding to our needs on a daily basis exhibiting dedication, persistence, diligence, professionalism, positive energy, responsiveness and excellent contributions towards anticipation of each requirement. I am very pleased with the level of service in the three restaurants managed by Food and Beverages manager Pichini where the quality of the international cuisine intertwined between Mediterranean, Maldivian, Italian and Asian has served as a magnificent foundation for a global cuisine representation marked by a leadership in a taste of excellency ! ||I am specifically impressed by the quality of service on behalf of the resort personnel, under the management and leadership of the Resort Manager Nasru and General Manager Jameer who demonstrated impeccable vision, consistency, value added service, energy, responsiveness, understanding and flexibility in addressing the underlying requirements. This competency, strong work ethic, positive attitude and brilliant insight on behalf of the operation team has been evident in the series of cultural activities, cocktail event parties, yoga services, spa relaxation treatments and marine structured events whereas the resort’s effective functionality and collaborative management transpired in impactful teamwork, positive engagement and inspirational leadership- 10 out of 5 Stars !||Specific ‘thank you’ to the Reservations Team, in particular Suresh and Rusiro for being extremely efficient in coordinating the seaplane transfers and accurate with confirmation of the reservation details, demonstrating an insightful level of punctuality and flexibility related to the reservations process !||I have visited a significant number of Maldivian Resorts, inclusive of designated 5- Stars Resorts and am aware of what comprises an exclusive holiday package ! Nevertheless, the unique combination of magnificent scenery, exquisite cuisine, picturesque water villa accommodations and extraordinary service in the Kudafushi Resort & Spa has converted our holiday into the most memorable and a truly...

Wow! We decided to choose Kudafushi as the destination for our honeymoon and we couldn’t have been happier about our stay there. I’ll start with some initial details of our trip for anyone who is searching for a similar trip. We were traveling from the United States and wanted to stay on just one island rather than hopping around. We chose the overwater bungalow with a pool We stayed 9 nights We selected the all-inclusive option including alcohol The total cost for the trip ended up being slightly over $7,000 (not included airfare and additional purchases that were made on the island). I can honestly say that the nine nights I spent in Kudafushi were the best of my life. The entire staff put in so much effort into making sure everyone is having a good time. The dining staff always makes sure you have a drink (whether you’re sitting at one of the restaurant, at the buffet, or even outside the bar at a small table on the beach). The buffet staff are friendly and make connections with the guests. They have several stations in the buffet: dessert, pasta, grilling, fruit, breads, salad, and a themed selection that changes each day. You have the choice to dine at two separate restaurants: Sea Edge (seafood and Mediterranean) and Olive Me [pronounced “I love me”] that serves great Italian food. You need to make reservations at those restaurants a day in advance but the buffet is always a good option too since the food is great and it requires no reservation. We tried each of the restaurants once and went to the buffet for all other meals.

They have a number of staff there that work on maintaining the appearance of the island. There are such small details they focus on here. They even have staff who sweep sand on the paths so they are easier to walk on. They have staff who make the palm trees more aesthetically pleasing by cutting off sections that are getting too large. It started raining one morning and the all the staff were all hands on deck to make sure that guests who were eating outside we able to stay dry. Overall, Kudafushi takes great care of the island and lots of it happens behind the scenes.

The excursions are great too! Although we didn’t take advantage of the scuba diving, we were able to go snorkeling and on the sunset cruise which were both incredible. I didn’t think I would ever be excited about seeing a shark but the snorkel instructors let us know that the sharks don’t attack in Maldives. There were so many of us that when I got in the water, I was hopeful that I’d see one! (We ended up seeing one about 30-40 meters away from us!) We also used the jet ski, the paddle boards, the kayaks, and also spent lots of time just using our own equipment exploring the sea life around the island. We saw lots of amazing fish (lots of Dory’s from Finding Nemo as well as a sea turtle, a baby shark, and a small sting ray). Everything there is so beautiful but the pictures don’t do it justice.

Finally, the relaxation was the best part of the trip. If you’re looking for things to do, they have a daily schedule of events including karaoke, beach sports, group snorkeling trips, scavenger hunts, live music, etc. We never felt forced to do those activities and were really able to relax the entire trip. The music in the restaurants is mostly instrumental. There is a nightlife, which we couldn’t hear from our bungalow, which worked out for us. We did stop by a social at the bar one night after a sunset cruise and it seemed like a really chilled out lounge vibe. Everyone was having a good time and guests were able to meet the different staff on the island.

Overall, this was one of those trips my wife and I will only be able to take once in our lives. The island itself and every single staff member made it SO worth it and I'll never forget the time we had there. I wish we didn't...

We stayed at Kudafushi Resort, and after our arrival it truly felt like we had entered paradise. I have never in my life experienced such attentive and welcoming staff. Whether at the reception, in the restaurants, housekeeping, or even the gardeners, everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel at home. I would especially like to compliment the staff at the grill station, crêpe station, noodle station, and the burger and wrap station. It was such a pleasure talking to them and watching them prepare the food. Really a 10 out of 10 experience in terms of service. I also want to give a very big thank you to all the waiters. They were all incredibly kind and attentive, every single one of them. On my birthday, they surprised me with a beautifully decorated table, flowers, a birthday cake, and a song. Since I am usually a bit shy, it felt overwhelming at first, but looking back, I truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture and it made my day very special. As for the food, I personally found it varied enough. I am quite a picky eater, and I was always able to find something I enjoyed, even if I sometimes repeated dishes. Of course, the buffet is not as huge as in large hotels with thousands of guests, but that is to be expected on a small island with a limited number of visitors. During our stay there were also themed nights such as Spanish Night, Japanese Night, Maldivian Night, and even a vegetarian night. I found this a wonderful idea, because it gave variety and made sure that everyone felt included. On top of that, the more focused approach means less excess food, which is not only reasonable for an island of this size but also better for the environment. In the end, you get delicious meals and leave satisfied, and that is what matters most. The island itself is stunning. The turquoise water and the beach are simply breathtaking, and in my opinion, the main reason to come here. Honestly, if you just stay at the pool, you are missing the point. The beach and lagoon are the true highlights. During our stay, we also enjoyed relaxing at the Juju Bar. The atmosphere was great and the drinks were delicious. There are evening entertainment programs, but we were usually too tired to attend, so we cannot rate the entertainment. We also tried some of the activities. At the sports center, we rented a kayak, which is free of charge, and we went around the island. That was a wonderful experience. My partner also visited the diving center and tried the complimentary introductory dive. He found the staff there extremely friendly, and it was a lot of fun. In addition, he treated himself to a massage at the spa. It is certainly not cheap, but he said it was absolutely worth it. Since he prefers a strong massage due to back pain, he was very satisfied with the treatment and it matched his expectations perfectly. We spent about 6 to 7 days in a Beach Villa and then moved to a Water Villa for the last two days. Both were beautiful and luxurious, but we personally preferred the Beach Villa because of the direct access to the beach. The Water Villas are, of course, the iconic Maldivian experience, with a Jacuzzi bathtub and incredible views. However, I would have enjoyed the Water Villa even more if the stairs leading into the sea had not been so covered with algae, which made them slippery and less inviting to use. In the end, it comes down to personal taste, but both options are wonderful. Overall, Kudafushi is a paradise with outstanding staff, beautiful surroundings, and a truly special atmosphere. Thank you! Bahsi

A Dreamy Escape in the Maldives – Truly Exceptional! From the moment we arrived, everything at this resort exceeded expectations. The management team runs the property with true professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. Every part of the guest experience feels personal and seamless — a sign of excellent leadership. The villa amenities were stunning: spacious, immaculately clean, and designed for total comfort and privacy. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and dipping into our private pool was pure bliss. Dining Delights & Floating Breakfast Magic – A Culinary Dream in Paradise From the very first evening, the resort's dining experiences exceeded every expectation. The open-air pizzeria was a true highlight — the aroma of freshly baked dough from the traditional oven, the crackle of fire, and the sight of chefs crafting each pizza with passion made it an unforgettable experience. The pizza was absolutely divine — crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, with generous toppings and the perfect touch of melted mozzarella. Enjoying it under the stars with a sea breeze was pure bliss. Each restaurant offered something unique, with a blend of international flavors and Maldivian touches. The attention to detail in presentation and the impeccable service made every meal feel like a special occasion. Staff remembered preferences, suggested perfect wine pairings, and made sure we felt cared for throughout. A true bucket-list moment was the floating breakfast experience. Served in the private pool of our villa, the beautifully arranged tray featured tropical fruits, freshly squeezed juices, buttery pastries, eggs of choice, and even sparkling wine. It was not just breakfast — it was an experience of ultimate indulgence and luxury, surrounded by turquoise waters and the peaceful rhythm of the island. This resort doesn’t just offer food — it offers memories through flavor, ambiance, and thoughtful hospitality. Every bite and every moment felt curated with love. The spa was a true highlight — an oasis of calm with expert therapists, luxurious treatments, and a serene setting that instantly relaxes the mind and body. For those seeking adventure, the Diving Center is world-class. The team is knowledgeable, safety-conscious, and incredibly passionate about marine life. The underwater experience was magical — vibrant corals, manta rays, and so much more. We also had an unforgettable time with the Water Sports team. From jet-skiing to sunset kayaking, they made every moment fun, safe, and memorable. This resort is the perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and adventure. Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone who wants to experience the best of the Maldives. Can't wait to return!
