We absolutely enjoyed our week here. The pampered 45 minute yacht ride from Malé to the resort was what heralded our stay at the resort. The staff was super friendly and gave top notch services. To name a few, our butler, Yukie; Natt and the barber from the spa; KG and Irafen. We were treated like royalty. Our beach villa was spacious and well equipped. The room mini bar was well stocked in choices of drinks and snacks. The villa had such an amazing view of the ocean but retained privacy provided by the hundreds of tropical plants and coconut trees surrounding the villa. The outdoor area was spacious with outdoor furnishings and provided the feel of your secluded paradise. On our last day, we were moved to the water villa since our departure flight was at 6pm. After experiencing the privacy of the beach villa, we found that you did not have that on the water. We could see other guests in the villa next to us. But we did enjoy walking right into the water and sunbathing over that beautiful aquamarine blue water. Our favourite spot on the island was the beach club. We spent time there relaxing in the cabanas, sipping on a beer or cocktails, paddle boarding, snorkeling or sliding down the water slide. This was a great place to be around people but still feel excluded. We also enjoyed the numerous restaurants, the spa, the excursions, the staff photographer and of course the beaches surrounding the island. Of course we went during covid-19 pandemic and the island did have a doctor that did the PCR tests that was required for travel. My recommendation is to visit in the cooler months like December. The weather was 79-85°F. The water was cool to warm around the island and so clear you could see the marine life without goggles.

Very good resort but very expensive. Beautiful place. Is it worth it? Let's just say it's a supremely relaxing holiday if you can afford it, but personally the prices made me a bit anxious. The service is faultless and courteous as you could imagine and the restaurants are on the whole excellent and it's generally picture perfect. I did move villa because of the noise from he desalination plant, but the noise didn't bother my wife. Everything that makes a Maldivian holiday special is present here. The only unauthentic thing is that the stunning island and its beaches are largely man-made, not that you'd know it though. Perhaps there may be a certain lack of charm, but that could just be the Russian gangster guests, who in any case are easy to avoid. The management has a party once a week with unlimited free canapés and drinks, so that's good. A new 60ft Azimut boat takes you there, so that's cool too. I Can't really complain, but I won't be returning because I'm just not rich enough.

It's expensive, sure. But you get what you pay for. Everything at Reethi Rah is meticulously cared for. I believe the staff to guest ratio while we stayed was something like 4 to 1. Amazing food at every restaurant on the island. The only negative, apart from the general price of the place, would be our experience with mosquitoes. I didn't expect them to be quite so bad. They were numerous and really hampered our ability to enjoy the private pool. To be fair to One and Only they did spray our villa promptly on multiple occasions when we requested. And while this may or may not be something One and Only can control, I would still think twice about visiting the Maldives again during the rainy season.

I have come to One&Only Reethi Rah (OORR) on multiple occasions, each time coming for longer periods of time as i felt i left too soon the time before. This time, i came for 2 weeks and ended up extending for a 3rd week for a total of 21 nights.

From the moment you exit customs at the airport, as a guest, you are treated like royalty. There are multiple representatives that quickly and seamlessly alleviate you of your luggage, and whisk you directly to their 60ft Azimut luxury yachts (A fleet of 3 and never more than a year or two old). These airport representatives and the yacht crew are extremely professional, competent, warm and inviting. Just what you need after a long journey to Male.

Food: Second to none, I still do not understand how they are able to provide such an exceptional quality of food on an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Their breakfast buffet is legendary. Because of the global pandemic the buffet is not what it was BUT, rest assured everything that used to be there is available on the menu and you can order as much of it as you want AND if it is not on the menu, just pre-order the day before what you would like and they will prepare it especially for you for the next morning. Additionally, the waiters are extremely good and they all communicate so as to learn what you like and just bring it before you have to ask, this only takes 2 days before they are on auto pilot. For instant, this trip, we asked for fresh mango, papaya, golden cappuccinos and mimosas the first two days. From then on as soon as we sit down these things start arriving at the table. They take pride in their profession and level of service. All you have to do is look in their direction and they are coming your way to see what they can bring or answer. Talk about being spoiled! As mentioned, each of the waiters are extremely good and personable, we developed a connection with Sippe and Youssef.

Butler Service - The hardest client service job on the island. The butlers here are very good. They somehow show up just at the right time when you need them, but are not obtrusive or always present in an annoying way. You are given a cell phone that you can take around the island and you have your butler on speed dial. They always answer quickly and provide service for whatever you need right away. We had Butler Rasheed this time, who i highly recommend. He is extremely professional, always has a sharp appearance, takes pride in what he does and being good at it, while maintaining a humbleness and genuineness which is endearing. Whatever you need he can make it happen or find a solution.

Recreation: 2 tennis courts (tennis pro on staff), water sports, a river down the middle of the island you can swim through, very large island for jogging and biking, 2 catered beach areas, beach club and Reethi Beach/Rah Bar, Beach Volleyball, etc.

Kids Club: You do not need to travel with your nanny! This was a big reason we chose OORR for this trip during this pandemic. We wanted to go to a place we could trust with professionals that know what they are doing. We had the same Maldivian woman, Agi, with us for our stay and she was on call when we needed her for babysitting services. She adapted to our schedule quickly and we all felt completely comfortable with her very quickly.

Management: This one is always tricky at high end resorts, but OORR has the formula down. Andreas, the resort manager, shows up enough to say hello and make you feel special, but not so much to be obtrusive in any way as do the other restaurant and facility managers.

In summary, the combination of an exceptionally beautiful island and the vast area of turquoise water that surrounds it, delicious 5* food, the recreation and relaxation options, an extremely competent, professional and warm staff that caters to your every whim make this a place you literally never want to leave.

Hands down our favorite place in the world to vacation, our...

If you are an Island traveler - than the O&O Reethi Rah is a must in this experience. This is a destination that is like no other, and worth the travel time no matter how long it may be. |The Destination is one worth traveling for - the water is the most superior Water in the world. Pure turquise Blue, warm and you can see your toes for miles! The Sand is basically powdered sugar - and is endless. ||The One & Only Reethi Rah is set on a large Atoll and yet the general feel is still so intimate and private. The property has done an amazing job of offering so many different experiences. The Food is some of the best in the world - Fresh , organic and the variety is extensive. Their newest Japanese Teppan grill - Sushi restaurant is finer than anything you will find anywhere in the world with views that never end, food and cocktails that you've never seen and you just wonder how they actually created this in the middle of nowhere! They have recreated a beach Club like you would see in Greece, perfectly equipped with a live DJ, colorful cabanas with food and drink service, a toes in the sand beachclub restaurant and just a few little extras like a rock climbing wall, game area with pink pong, pool , foosball....professional tennis and pickleball courts, Great shops , and even an ice cream parlor!||Take a cart ride around the corner, and you will be on a private beach with endless white sand and warm perfectly turquoise water that you can walk a mile out into! Then perhaps back to your amazing Villa that offers the very best of privacy, decor, and complete comfort. ||An amazing spa offering some of the most unique and luxurious treatments. ||The service is beyond your expectations as is the staff. They have worked there for years - and are so excited to welcome you and welcome back the regulars (that do always come back!). The excitment and enthousiasm is contagious and it quickly becomes the best trip you have ever imagined. ||I seriously in all of my travels cannot recommend any desitnation or property more than this property - it is like taking a trip to what I imagine...

We (family of four with two children aged 14 and 12) stayed at the One&Only Reethi Rah for 12 nights starting from 10 August and had an absolutely fantastic time there. We were helped by the beautiful weather as aside from 10 minutes of rain, it was sunny throughout. The island itself is large and it is very helpful that all villas come with bikes which my wife and daughter in particular made good use of and thoroughly enjoyed. Otherwise, the buggy service is extremely helpful with chauffeured buggies generally being available in less than 5 minutes. The villas are of a good size and beautifully furnished. We had a water villa without swimming pool which was lovely and it was so nice to waking up to the view across the bay/beach each morning. I would say unless you have young children a swimming pool is unnecessary as the sea is easy to access from the villa. There was a great range of restaurants and we very much enjoyed all of them except Botanica which we did get round to trying. Tapasake was just awesome - with delicious food and breathtaking restaurant and bar area. We were on a half board package and so ate at Earth most of the time which had a lovely and varied menu. Aqua and Fire were also great and we got the half board dinner allowance at any restaurant we ate at away from Earth which is the course half board restaurant. It has to be said that food and drink is not cheap (even with the half board package) but if going to a resort as of such high quality in the Maldives that has to be expected and it didn’t lessen our enjoyment. The service around the resort was just incredible - so friendly and attentive and our host Rasheed was just so helpful and made many helpful suggestions. We also really enjoyed the beach club which had a lovely upbeat atmosphere and plenty of activities to enjoy (water sports, table tennis and pool to name a few). We also enjoyed a snorkelling trip to swim with turtles which was just lovely. We will certainly be back in the future - it is a stunning place to go on holiday, whether it’s for a few days or a...
