If you’re looking for a resort in the Maldives that will truly leave a mark, you’ve found it.|NH Collection Havodda surprises you from the moment you arrive. You’re welcomed at the entrance with music and warm greetings from the staff, instantly making you feel joyfully and lovingly received.|Right after that, they offer you chilled rose-scented towels and a refreshing juice to help you relax after the long journey. Your host will explain the hotel areas and give you his phone number, so you can message at any time for anything you might need.||We were a bit disappointed that, due to it being low season, some activities were canceled due to a lack of guests. Activities like DJ nights or yoga classes… It felt unfair, as every guest deserves the same experience regardless of the time of year or the number of people staying.||The island is fumigated regularly, so there’s no need to worry about mosquitoes!—there were none at all.|The entire island is kept perfectly clean, from the public restrooms to the restaurants and lounging areas. The cleanliness is truly top-notch throughout the hotel.||We got massages on the Spa with Tya and Noksen, two very professional ladies—we loved their massages.|We stayed in a Water Villa… how do you describe paradise!? Just like the rest of the hotel, it’s in really good condition and equipped with everything you might need. Housekeeping comes twice a day—morning and evening—so the room is always spotless. The bed is perfect. The open-air bathroom is spectacular—our favorite part was the outdoor shower with views of the turquoise horizon… Simply dreamy.||The rest of the resort is unbeatable—from the beautiful facilities, restaurants, hammocks—everything is thoughtfully designed and maintained with great attention to detail.|The only small downside is the wooden bridge leading to the Water Villas: you need to walk carefully if barefoot, as there are splinters and a few loose boards. (They told us they’re about to start renovating the entire hotel, so we assume that will be fixed soon.)||The buffet food surprised us—it was varied and of high quality, especially the breakfasts, which were unbeatable! In addition to the wide selection, you can also ask for whatever you’d like, and they’ll happily make it for you.||The Surf restaurant features an outstanding Executive Chef, Arthur. He is incredibly kind, approachable, and cooks amazing dishes! You absolutely must try his menu, created and crafted by him.|Big congratulations to Arthur and the whole kitchen team! Including Chinthaka and Noli, two chefs who prepare everything beautifully and with great care at the Surf restaurant, where you can watch them cook live from the open kitchen in the center.||The waiter, Suraj, was very attentive, extremely kind, and made sure we had everything we needed during our dinners…—special congratulations to him, he truly deserves it.||At this resort on an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, you’ll find beauty in every corner and feel the vibrant energy radiating from the surrounding nature.|Butl while natural beauty is easy to find on any Maldivian island, what makes NH Collection Havodda so special is each and every one of its staff members.||I can’t put into words how genuinely good they all made us feel—each one of them, every moment.|Yes, everyone expects good service at a hotel, but they go far beyond that. You have to meet them to understand.|There’s not a single waiter, cleaner, chef, excursion guide, or staff member we will forget! Always with a sincere smile and perfect manners that many five-star hotels should learn from—we’ve never seen anything like it.||We especially want to mention Kush, Kalyan, and Mikal—congratulations to these amazing people. He took us to the nearby islands on jet skis and took tons of photos and videos—such a friendly and cheerful guy.||All of the staff never said no to anything, never made a fuss, and you could feel the sincerity and dedication in every gesture. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay at NH Collection Maldives, an amazing resort. Including incredible views, comfortable accommodations, outstanding service and unforgettable activities.||First of all, when I set foot on the land of NH Collection Maldives, I was shocked by the unparalleled beauty that greeted me. White sandy beaches extend into endless blue waters, surrounded by azure skies and lush green coconut trees. This resort is located on a private island, surrounded by a tranquil and calm ocean, allowing me to completely immerse myself in the beauty of nature. Whenever I walk on the beach, feeling the soft sand and the breeze caressing my cheeks, I feel like I'm in a paradise world.||Secondly, I was very impressed with the accommodation at NH Collection Maldives. I stayed in an overwater villa, which is a well-designed villa on the sea. When I opened the door, I was amazed by the spacious, modern and well-appointed interior. The room is flooded with natural light, entering through floor-to-ceiling windows and offering incredible unobstructed ocean views. I also had a great view of the sunrise from my private terrace, which is an indescribable feeling. The bedding was comfortable and soft, allowing me to have a comfortable sleep every night, ready for the next day's adventures.||In addition to accommodation, the service at NH Collection Maldives is impeccable. We have just returned from our 6th stay at the NH Collection Maldives Havodda Resort – and once again, it felt like coming home. Every visit is special in its own way, but this one was truly remarkable thanks to the extraordinary hospitality, the dedicated team members, and some unforgettable experiences.||Already before our trip the hotel informed us that, to our surprise and delight, we had been booked onto an earlier domestic flight after arriving in Malé at around 5 a.m. Instead of facing a long waiting time, we boarded a 7:30 a.m. flight to Kooddoo Island, landed by 8:40, and reached Havodda by speedboat in about 60 minutes. Thanks to this smooth arrangement, we were warmly welcomed on the island already at about 10 a.m. – nearly 5 hours earlier than expected!||The welcome from General Manager Frans was once again heartfelt and genuine. His warm hospitality is one of the many reasons Havodda feels like family to us. Our personal host, Murooj, looked after us with great care throughout the stay, and we felt in the best hands from day one. A big and very special thank you to him – his support truly made our holiday carefree.||Our water villa was serviced wonderfully by Gokul, who did a fantastic job keeping everything clean and well prepared, always with a big smile. His work really made a difference and deserves special mention.||The dining experience has even improved since our last visit. Both the Reef Restaurant and the Thari Bar offered enhanced variety and quality. With the All-Inclusive package and the low occupancy during this off-season period, we were able to enjoy à-la-carte lunch menus daily – something we truly appreciated.||We also treated ourselves to a Destination Dining dinner on the beach and one dinner at the Surf Restaurant – both outstanding in quality and atmosphere. In the restaurants, three team members made our days especially bright:||●) Kish, whose humor and charm we will deeply miss,||●) Kokky, a young lady we met for the first time, who won our hearts immediately with her attentiveness and kind spirit, and||●) Maikal, who not only took great care of us during our meals but also showed off his DJ talents on Sunday evening. A very special thank you to him for treating us “two old souls” with some of our personal all-time favorites during DJ Night – an unforgettable touch that meant a lot to us!||This time we visited the spa several times, and Ayu impressed us with her professionalism and talent – the treatments were exceptional and deeply relaxing.||The house reef is still in excellent condition, alive with colorful fish, reef sharks, turtles, lobsters, octopus, and so much more. Just like on our last trip in March, we were again incredibly lucky to encounter several dolphins while snorkeling – calmly passing by us, leaving us with unforgettable GoPro footage and lifelong memories.||Considering it was off-season, the weather was surprisingly good – just a few short rain showers over a two-week stay. The ocean was slightly rougher than in spring, and some beach erosion was visible, especially near the Surf Restaurant and around several of the Sunset Beach Pool Villas, where certain areas were unfortunately not accessible or habitable. Nevertheless, we still found plenty of idyllic beach spots to enjoy.||Occupancy was low, which made our stay peaceful and relaxed – exactly what we were looking for. Most fellow guests were from Asia, Russia, and Germany, and the overall vibe on the island was very calm.||A huge thank you to so many wonderful people we were delighted to meet again (in alphabetical order): Alim, Artur, Ashok, Ayaz, Dada, Dewi, Febin, Hassan, Kamini, Kartiki, Kashim, Kalyan, Kushanka, Lakmal (safe travels and best wishes for your future, our friend!), Maneesh, Maattey, Munjid, Nishad, Pradeep, Shaulaan, Shifaaz – and many more who made our stay unforgettable.||Each and every one of you contributed to the feeling of being truly welcomed – Havodda is special not only because of its natural beauty, but because of the people who bring it to life.||After six visits, Havodda remains our personal paradise in the Maldives – our “home away from home.” We left once again with full hearts, countless memories, and already longing for the next time.
