I spent one night at Hotel Free Zone after my trip riding on top of the Mauritanian Iron Ore Train. I arrived dirty and exhausted and the hotel felt like an oasis. I will say the hotel doesn't have charm, but it was immaculately clean and had all he amenities one could need in Nouadhibou. My room was a suite really: huge with to bathrooms, a living room, workspace, and bedroom. Lots of toiletries, tea, coffee, kettle, tv, AC etc. Most importantly for me at that moment: hot water, a good shower, fluffy towels, and a comfortable bed.||||Also, the wifi was very good, which was important as I had some work to catch up on.||||The service was very good and the young man at the desk helped me organize a car to Nouakchott.||||The hotel is a bit pricy, but for a comfortable stay or if you need to get work done, I think this is a good option...
Read moreI wouldn't say I liked the hotel as the smell coming from the next place was very strong and I couldn't sleep smelling that thing. The windows were fragile and couldn't stop it. Not that bad for such a city, but I am sure it wouldn't have more than 3 stars in any place in Europe. Stop buying houses in Spain and Morocco and improve your business...
