Thank you for your response.
However either you have misunderstood the facts or are just not addressing the issues I have raised. In any case I guess you have laid down the facts as it suits you so that readers can assume that I have misrepresented the facts. But in any case let me set the record straight:
Check in:
The problem is that when we came the hotel the reception staff completely ignored the confirmed reservation and kept saying that it was us who had not booked the room. Despite Showing them the confirmation email the response we got was there is no room booked. It took almost an hour for the reception to accept that I did have an reservation. Still the response I got was we will look into it. I asked them to confirm if I have a room or not and the response was they will let me know when I come back. Not professional at all. At no point were we anticipating early check in or any additional service.
Poor Cuisine:
The waiter informed us that they were not made aware of any allergy preferences. This is despite the fact that we had noted down allergy preferences in the check in form, called at 7 pm to reconfirm and I had asked again at the reception at 8' pm to reconfirm that the kitchen knew of our allergy preferences. When we told this to waiter he informed us that the chef is too busy and cannot be asked to cook or give us some options. Furthermore we were told that it was our fault for not informing the kitchen on time. The tip for the waiter was for persisting with the chef for cooking us something edible. AND FYI TIPPING THE WAITER DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE OVERALL SERVICE. It just means we were thankful to the waiter for his help. Also it took your staff 30 mins from the arrival of the food to bring us salt (FYI).
Breakfast:
Asked for 2 coffee (Latte and Americano) it arrived after 20 mins and twice asking for the coffee. Furthermore asked for toasted bread and the waiter brought 2 toasted bread between 3 people when we asked for more his response was if we really needed more. The water at the buffer table was over which is why we asked for 3 glasses of water and the response we got was water is at the buffet table go pick it up yourself. Pancakes - Chef asks that mini pancakes are over and he only has large pancakes and if we would be able to finish them (implying only then we should order them)
Problem with taxi:
That is not the taxi I was talking about. For your information even then your reception staff had to check with the manager to order the taxi ? Never heard of that. However this is for the taxi to the airport at the check out. Got informed from reception that there are no taxis available. I informed the reception that my friends will be coming to pick me up and they did well informing the security staff and the reception staff. They had to help me out with the luggage from the reception and the reception staff at that point was abusive and asked us to leave. If you dont believe check you cctv recording. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SPOKEN TO LIKE THIS EVER IN MY LIFE. THE RECEPTION STAFF WAS LITERALLY SHOUTING AT US.
Also there is noting wrong in someone asking if it was safe to take a taxi alone at night. (NOT SURE WHY WOULD YOU RAISE THAT ?)
Problem with luggage:
When the porter came to pick my luggage I had to pieces of luggage the porter said that he only has capacity for one and I asked if he could come again or send someone else to transfer it to the reception. He refused and I had to carry my bag to the reception myself.
Reception Staff speaking in Creole and abusing:
I know there were abusive in the evening of check in towards us as our friend was wit us who speaks the local language. If you don't want to believe me that is your prerogative.

Read moreLets start with the positives: Upon check-in we were upgraded to a lovely suite with a private pool and a stunning view facing the ocean. The room was spacious, nicely arranged and very clean. Service throughout our stay was always excellent especially when we complained - the staff was always very professional and friendy. In that regard I want to mention Stephan and Avinash who have been a great help and always had an open ear.
There are some downsides to the hotel though, I will list and describe positives and negatives in no particular order: -) Pricing: We were half-board and during our stay, we always had the feeling, that the hotel is trying to squeeze more money out of us. We arrived under the impression, that we will be covered for breakfast and dinner, yet about half of the menu-items on the dinner menu (which is a seated meal mind you) had a surcharge of 220 MUR (5 EUR) upwards. This is not restricted to main courses but applies to entrees and desserts as well. Also there were regular events like a BBQ that were 1100 MUR (25 EUR) extra per person. My wife and I are not cheap, but if you choose to "upgrade" on a regular basis, the checkout bill is gonna rise rather quickly. -) When we arrived, there was literally only one vegetarian meal on the dinner menu. Kudos to the management, because two days after we complained, the menu was expanded by a new vegetarian page with a few options for my wife. Also the staff has been very forthcoming to adapt existing options or even create complete new vegetarian meals. Hats off for such a fast response! -) Still regarding the food offered in general: Presentation and freshness of the meals is extraordinary, yet most of the dishes we tried were lacking some kind of finesse. They were rather bland in taste, missing a distinctive character. This does not apply to all of the things we had, but overall we were disappointed. On the plus-side I want to mention the soups and the entree-buffet that we once had. On the contrary we found the omlette at breakfast extremely bland. It could use more heat, a maillard-reaction never took place. On the last day, with the new menu, we found that the quality of the dishes - at least at the evening - improved. -) Contrary to the above, the desserts were top notch thoughout our stay. With hints of mulecular cuisine and very daring but tasty compositions, we were regularly blown away. -) Once we had to wait quite some time for the main course and complained about it - over 45 minutes between entree and our dish. After we got it delivered, without asking, the staff offered us a drink free of charge. -) The music playlist was the same every day and on every occasion (except if there was a life band). -) The beach is rather steep, therefore the beach beds have a rather significant pitch - you need to keep some muscles tense in order not to slide down. There are only a few that are more or less straight. -) The reservations of beds early in the morning is tiresome. We don't do that, but in order to get a bed that won't give you a backache, you need to get up very early and take your breakfast really fast. -) Seagrass on the beach is removed daily. -) Some of the beach beds appear to be worn out. This may be uncomfortable for some. -) Other than the music at the restaurant, the hotel is very quiet.
Some suggestions and feedback for the management: -) Avoid surchages during dinner -) Find a way to make beach beds flat. -) Provide garbage bins and ashtrays on the beach. -) The free fruit skewer on the beach is a nice touch, keep that! -) Your staff is amazing and very professional. -) For the love of god, change the playlist from time to time. -) Provide dessert forks - eating a dessert of that quality with a tablespoon is just a crime. -) Please try to counter that bed-reservation-behaviour of some (most) guests. It is ridiculous to have 90% of the beds reserved at around 0730 with no...
Read moreMy now-fiancé and I embarked on a journey to Seasense with the intent of finding ultimate relaxation, basking in the sun, and partaking in various activities. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were warmly greeted with a complimentary drink and a rejuvenating massage. The delightful Keshia, who serves as the guest relations manager, graciously conducted a tour for us.
From the 4th to the 14th of our stay, we were blessed with consistently pleasant weather, with temperatures hovering around 27-28 degrees Celsius. The sun radiated its warmth, accompanied by a gentle, refreshing breeze.
One of the highlights of our Seasense experience was the complimentary boat house, offering an array of activities ranging from paddle boarding to kayaking. The tranquil ocean lured us out most days to make the most of this fantastic amenity. The boat house team demonstrated exceptional assistance, ensuring that there was always an attentive staff member present should we require any help.
During our sojourn at Seasense, I had a special plan in mind—to propose to my partner on their birthday. In preparation for this momentous occasion, I maintained frequent communication with Keshia, meticulously arranging the perfect engagement package. I can attest that Keshia's support and innovative ideas were invaluable in crafting a personal and unforgettable experience for both of us. This package encompassed appointments, seamless communication, and visual aids, all tailored precisely to my envisioned setting. In this review, you will find photographs capturing the event, showcasing the exquisite flower arrangements, the private band, and the custom setup with a breathtaking seafront view and a charming runway. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Keshia for her role in making this the most perfect experience for us.
Furthermore, Avinash, the restaurant manager at the hotel, played a pivotal role during the proposal evening, attending to our every need. His proactive approach throughout the evening ensured that we were consistently well-serviced and that the evening held a personal and special touch. Avinash even assisted me in recording the proposal on video, and we had discussions prior to the event to ensure everything unfolded seamlessly. I have included photos in my review to highlight this extraordinary evening and the hard work put in by the Seasense team. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Avinash for his continued attentiveness throughout our holiday, as he approached us each night to ensure our satisfaction with the service and to inquire about our day.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to the entire restaurant and bar team, who worked diligently to ensure prompt service and maintained a consistently friendly and approachable demeanor. Special thanks go to Sylvana, Yona, Akhilesh, Sandren, and Jerome, who frequently attended to us and made certain we were content.
Additionally, we want to acknowledge the fantastic housekeeping team, which provided exceptional service in maintaining our rooms beautifully presented and spotlessly clean at all times. This included daily cleaning and an additional turn-down service. We wish to offer our personal thanks to Oogesh, the housekeeping manager, and Nilesh, who orchestrated a stunning display of balloons, petals, chocolates, and a bathtub filled with petals for my partner's birthday and on the final night of our stay. Our gratitude extends to the entire housekeeping team, including Bhavish, Shivam, Kishan, and Gunness.
In summary, our holiday at Seasense was an incredibly remarkable experience, thanks not only to the hotel's fantastic and chic ambiance and location but also to the extraordinary people at Seasense who made it one of the most enjoyable and standout destinations. We can confidently affirm that Seasense is a place we will...
