I recently stayed at Hotel C Rodrigues Mourouk for four days, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the laid-back vibe that permeates the entire establishment, perfectly complementing the serene atmosphere of Rodrigues island.
First and foremost, the food was exceptional. We indulged in a variety of local delicacies, from the flavorful "diriz mais" to the succulent "haricot" and tender octopus dishes. Each meal was a culinary adventure, and the presentation was as impeccable as the taste. The assortment of desserts was a delightful finale to our dining experiences.
The accommodations were equally impressive. Our room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. The attention to detail was evident throughout the hotel, reflecting a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and comfort.
What truly set Hotel C Rodrigues Mourouk apart, however, was the exceptional staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism, and every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. Their attentiveness and genuine hospitality made us feel truly welcome.
While the lunch options were somewhat limited, the quality of the food more than made up for it. And with so much to see and do on Rodrigues island, we appreciated having a day to simply relax and enjoy the hotel's amenities, including the pristine pool and tranquil surroundings.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel C Rodrigues Mourouk to anyone seeking a memorable and rejuvenating getaway. The experience was worth every penny, and I cannot wait to return to this little slice...
Read moreThis was a very bad experience for us. Talking about Monday 02 September 2024 Am not talking about the stay. Its about the hospitality. Food was 10/10. Hats off to the chef. BUT!!!!!! We were not residents of the hotel and booked for lunch. In bullet points: we did not get a warm welcome there was no one to guide us and we had to locate tables ourselves zero smile from the waiter named jena. We arrived on time after a phone call reservation for lunch. While choosing our food, less than 5 mins later the waitress rushed us to make a decision, said the kitchen will close soon. My husband was in the toilet and I had to send him a photo of the menu. There was no explanation on the menu by her. We received starters bread without butter. She just put it on our table and left. Were we supposed to eat that with chilli? Just after our lunch was over, 3 differenr families came, white skinned. The same waitress welcomed them, smiled and explained everything warmly to them. Not to forget it was an hour after our meal order and the kitchen was supposedly ‘closed’. No one came to see us. We asked someone else for our bill. After 15 mins it was not there. We had to walk to the cash office to pay. So I would like to outline the mediocrity of treating brown skin people or simply mauritian people differently like that. For me its a never to come again and I will also make sure no relative of mine goes through what I went through. After we paid we had packed the rest. We forgot it there. No one came to give it to us. Its a shame in 2024, for people to be so...
Read moreIt's probably our 8th time visiting the island of Rodrigues and we always try new hotel each time we visit. We came in November and were staying at Tekoma which was when we randomly came to visit Mourouk which had recently been renovated. Since we came with family this time, we chose Mourouk. The hotel is very family friendly, the location is excellent only if you are not planning to go anywhere else but staying at the hotel because it's quite far from anywhere else (sure we do not have traffic in Rodrigues and it's not that big of a deal to drive around). The view around the hotel is perfect. The rooms are quite cosy but small and quite a few amenities were missing like there is no hair dryer, no shampoo nor hair conditioner, no green tea in the room, no umbrella nor raincoat (it's a struggle walking in the rain from our room getting completely drenched to get to the restaurant). With only 18kg luggage, it's impossible to fit all these especially if we are staying in a proper hotel like Mourouk. Please take it as a recommendation to include these amenities 🙏 Also, we come to Rodrigues for the flavorful seafood curry and grilled seafood and fish. We were barely served those. Please stick to serving us local dishes and not try out other cuisines 😂 Last, it felt more like a self service hotel (small recommendation - We like to be taken care of). Overall we love Rodrigues.. the peace and zen atmosphere is unmatched. It automatically takes away...
