Hotel Cactus Inn Los Cabos — Hotel in Baja California Sur

The pros of staying at Cactus Inn Los Cabos: Free hotel shuttle service. It is close to the airport-tucked in a quiet neighborhood. The room & bathroom were tidy; bed & pillows fairly comfortable; a/c worked well. Dark window curtains kept most of the morning light out. There is free parking, an outdoor pool with pleasant water temperature. Excellent for evening swim. Easy access to the main highway. Cons: Amenities are minimal. No refrigerator, hair dryer or iron were available. Restaurants are scares (but I found one about 5 blocks over). |I chose to stay at this hotel because my destination was La Paz. The location of Cactus Inn met my needs for this trip. It was close to the car rental location, allowed me a good night's rest before heading to La Paz. I missed my flight home and had to wait overnight for another flight. This motel is very, very close to the airport. The downside was that there is nothing nearby. No restaurants within walking distance and we didn't have a rental car. So we had to take a little bus to a bigger bus to get anywhere where we could eat a meal. The rooms are very simple, this is a budget motel, but the staff were very nice, gave us bottles of water to drink in the lobby whenever we asked for them. We had a hard time getting back to the airport in a crunch for time, because none of the taxis we called actually showed up. I needed a place to stay before my flight the next morning and this place was one of the cheaper, closer options. The transport was quick and well serviced. My biggest complaint by far was the WiFi. I was unable to connect the entire night. I did have work to do and unfortunately it did not get done because I could not load any websites at all. The room was clean and comfortable, on the basic side. My biggest plus was the kitchen service! Karina, who I hope is still working there, was so kind and was able to accommodate my vegetarian diet!
