OYO Hotel Miramar, Loreto — Hotel in Baja California Sur

From checkin this place was a nightmare. There is no one here with a second language.|The hotel is located in amongst a huge area of car breaking yards. How any company could consider this area suitable for a hotel beggars belief. There is little else there, except packs of yapping dogs that are never quiet.|The parking is a confined strip outside the hotel and we were blocked in by other rude guests and missed our day trips.|The place was quite clean, except for dust over the entire floor.|The rooms are tiny with no water, kettle, or even anywhere to stand anything. The curtain rail is an old piece of plastic pipe.|They do have a TV and aircon in the room. We didn't try the TV but the aircon remote was so worn out that we managed to get the aircon on heating, which we didn't want, and then could not turn it off again for about half an hour, by which time the room was like an oven.|The bathroom is really just big enough for a toilet, but there is a shower and sink in there too. We had to climb over the toilet to reach the shower. Rhere was no hot water. The mirror is held up by an old boot lace around the light fitting.|The real problem started at about 10pm when the unit next door started playing loud, building-shaking music. This continued until 4am. The dogs started yelping again at 5am.|There is a tiny swimming pool which appears clean, but it's only there for a star rating as there is nowhere to sit or lie.|One...

Well for the spot that this hidden hotel is in its really Quite Nice. I had just drove down from San Felipe and was Extremely Tired. All I wanted to do is sleep. I wanted to eat but didn't feel like driving anymore. I went to the front desk asked if I rented a room could I park my truck inside. I wasn't going to leave it on the Dirt street. She said Yes. They have room for 3/4 vehicles at the Most. I backed my truck in. I unloaded my stuff and asked if she knew anyone who would bring food. She asked what I wanted. I told her. She said okay and left and brought back chicken Tacos. OMG How Perfect is that. She went out of her way to help me out. Thank You VERY Much for Everything. The room that I have is Small and Simple. So bad we left after one night of a three night stay . The hotel are refusing a refund so beware . |The area is horrible .
