A detailed summary of my vacation in Las Canadas, it was seven of us that went. I reserved the cabins for the 17,18 and 19 of April. I deposited 4000 pesos in Bancomer in a La Cañadas account to make sure we wouldn't lose our place to stay. It was roughly $225 dollars for two nights stay, you can check in at 2 pm. On the day of our trip I spent like $150 in food supplies to last us three days, fruit, vegetables, bread, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, gatorade, soda, milk, beer and ice. We left from Tijuana at 1 and got there at 3. At the gate I had to pay $6130 for admission for 7 people, this only included the swimming pools, the park, the mini zoo, and the boats, this does not include the canopy tour, atv's or horses. It was roughly $350 dollars. We got to our cabin, number 13. It was small but comfortable, one small bedroom with two bunkbeds, with 4 individual beds, a living room, with a tiny bathroom with a shower, a living room with a sink and a couch than turns into a full size bed. We brought blankets, sheets, pillows, towels, toaster,2 fans, because the cabins don't come with much included. Its a beautiful set up, with awesome scenery. After we settled in we went to the kids pool, it had waterfalls, slides, and mini tobogans. Super cool, we stayed for an hour and then we left for another pool. This pool was small but it was deeper, stayed here until 6:30, and it was getting very cold. We went back to the cabin, we all took showers and then had bean and cheese burritos with chips for dinner. We then played music and made a bonfire right outside the cabin. We went to sleep around 11:30. On Thursday we woke up at 8 and had breakfast at 9, my wife and all the kids wanted to take a hike up the side mountain, while they left I took a power nap until 11 am. They got back and we all went to a third pool, this one came with 2 diving boards, we brought with us food to have a little picnic next to the pool. We had tuna tostadas with fruit. We stayed here until 2 and then walked to their biggest pool with a wave machine. This was very cool with really strong waves, we all stayed here until 3:30.We then went back to the cabins, took showers and got ready to go rent ATV'S. We got there at 4, I rented 4 ATV'S, they were $35 dollars for one hour, I paid $140 dollars plus a $80 dollar deposit. You get to rent 2 ATV'S for every driver license, we went 2 on one three times, and me by myself.(yaaaaaa!) This was the highlight of my stay, awesome trails with beautiful scenery. The ride ended at 5:15. Everybody was super happy. We went back to the cabin because we were hungry. We made hamburgers with french fries, and a salad. Since the kids never get tired we went to the wave pool again at 8:30, it was cold so only the kids got in. I kicked back on one of the chairs and relaxed for a while. At 9:30 we went back to the cabin, listened to music and played loteria, a mexican bingo game. At 12 we went to sleep. On Friday I woke up at 8 am, I don't know why but I couldn't sleep in at all. At 9 my wife and I had to go look for an atm, to get money out to do more stuff. We went into town and had difficulty finding a fricken atm, I drove around for a half an hour and finally found a Bancomer, it was packed, sincw it was thwe only one in town. We headed back to the campground, it was about 10:30. We packed all our stuff because we had to check out before 12pm. At 11:30 we turned in the key and then went to thier mini zoo for a little while. At 1 the older girls wanted to do the Canopy tour, 5 bridges, and 3 awesome zip lines. I wanted to do it with them but I had to take care of the little kids. It cost $1500 pesos for three, roughly $80 dollars. While they did that the 4 of us went to go rent 3 horses, it cost $20 each horse I have never ridden a horse ai it was new to me, my horse wanted to run, so I had to hold him back, my nuts were all sore. Once again the scenery was epic, our guide was really nicw and knowledgeable. Cool experience overall. We then had a picnic next to their lake and then got on their boats, good...

Read moreApril 5th, 2024 12:06pm BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR KIDDOS IN THE “SUPER TOBOGAN”(WATER SLIDE). My 13 year old son went down the slide and got a HEAD CONCUSSION. When he slid down at the end there’s a curve and he said his head impacted the cement MANY times. He complained of a backache and head pounding immediately. The person guarding(young male didn’t get his name)was also shook, but did not follow through with a report with ahis walkie talkie. He did advise us that there was ambulatory service 24/7, but did not take us there. The park is pretty big so we went down walking around looking for it. In the way there, we found the main office. Keep in kind while we were seeking help, my son was out of it change of behavior, screaming, yelling, weak etc… When I go inside I tell them my situation and a young lady came outside to see my son.( didn’t get no names). She was the worst heartless cold human I’ve ever encountered. She pressed on my son’s head and said he’s fine, just get him some ice and take him to the clinic if needed at your own cost because we provide none of that. I told her the young man told me you guys have paramedics on site. She said NO! Only on the weekends( it was a Friday), turned her back and went inside and closed the door. I felt helpless and guilty. I needed help, that’s all i wanted. I go back inside and asked for my refund,( at this point I was devastated and didn’t know what to do.) They take me in to see the Supervisor and I explain my situation and he walks outside to my son clinging to my husbands neck very weak. He immediately gets a golf carts and takes him to the paramedics.( YES! There is paramedics onsite.) Once they sit him down to ask for his symptoms he starts vomiting. Now the Manager sees that and immediately tells the Parademics to take him in the Ambulance to their emergency clinic they have about 40 minutes away. The Paramedics on the other hand, were hands down the BEST caregivers to my son! They were able to calm him down as he was very hysterical. My son is a kind, calm and happy boy.
My son is very active and plays Soccer and enjoys going on runs. He hasn’t been able to as he still gets headaches. It breaks my heart to his anxiety kick in because he wants to be out there playing.
In the picture, you can see he is telling and complaining of getting hurt.
Just want to share our experience here, so it won’t happen to any one else.
In the second picture, he’s in the emergency clinic...
