I want to share my point of view of this place … I have been to this place 2 times … first time I took my rv and the second time I camped outside… let’s not forget that this place is located in the mountains away from city life … this location is very sacred but people ruin everything … this place deserves respect …we are only visitors and we need to respect the home of Mother Nature … we need to learn how to appreciate Mother Nature and respect that it is the habitat of many little creatures like spiders, bees ants frogs etc. Mother Nature has feelings too…. Humans come to this place with so many high expectations … we need to learn to be responsible of our needs and let’s not forget to be grateful of Mother Nature of the management of others we only attract what we are and we only see what we are so if you see the beauty of this place then you are blessed … reflect on how you view your world… I took care of my needs and the needs of my 2 daughters … we cooked food we showered we enjoyed all of the pools we enjoyed the darkness of the place and we walked all around and hugged trees and even connected with Mother Nature we used our cell phones to light our way back and forth from our tents… thanks to the front store we had wifi signal and we’re able to talk to our family and friends on messenger and were able to share pictures of our trip… I slept very comfortable after a swim in the hot water pool it was very soothing and healing … this place is very great to get away from all your problems and return to the basic living and if you want some time to heal your soul and heart .. be patient with everything and everyone and yourself … enjoy...
Read moreI'm rating this place 2 stars because I prepaid a deposit for a stay a stay in one of the cabins and I did not get my deposit back even though I didn't stay there. I contacted them through their Facebook account and chatted with an employee to make my reservation.
The employee sent me the GPS coordinates so I could use my Google maps app to get there. But the problem is that I was not advised that the last 10 kilometers of the trip is a very rough dirt road with sharp rocks, big holes & pits, and loose dirt and gravel. The business needs to advise their customers of these conditions! I drive a low compact car, so I tried get to the camp going 5 mph, while getting out of my car to move big rocks out of my way.
After going down this rough road for 8 kilometers I encountered a stream going right across the road, I got out of my car to see the depth of the water and it was a foot deep! And then there was a 4x4 suv coming from the camp and Iasked them if the camp was far away. They told me to leave my car on the road and hike the rest of the way to the camp. Also they said that there is another stream ahead thats deeper with faster flowing waters. I turned my car around and drive back towards Ensenada until I had cellphone service again, and I chatted with the employee at the camp. I said that the road is not accessible to small cars and I want my deposit back because I couldn't get there. They said the deposit is non refundable. So I paid for a service that I did...
Read moreWhile in Ensenada last year on a Carnival cruise I rented a Razor with a guide for the day and had a fun drive to Rancho San Carlos Hot Springs. ||The drive criss crossed the road many times, and because of recent heavy rains there were many big puddles to cross, which just added to the fun. These roads, even with puddles are traveled every day by the locals, so all the ones I crossed, even creek crossings, had a solid base under them.|| Within reason my guide let me drive as fast as I wanted. I didn't have any kind of death wish but did rev it up a few times. ||Apon reaching the hot springs, which took about 45 min,s winding up a beautiful little canyon, we stopped and paid at the gate. Seems like it was about $10 usd. Once you drive past the pools on the left there's a dirt parking lot. I changed in one of the cabanas and entered the pools. Wonderful. There was very little if any sulfur aroma. There are 3 large pools that have incorporated a combination of natural and the man-made features. Now, the resort probably had it's hayday 20 years ago and appears a little run down, but it has a really nice campgrounds still and the hot spring pools are immaculately clean. ||I went in early Feb. on a weekday, so there were was hardly anybody there. It could be still quite popular other times of the year, I'm not sure. There are also some excursion company's that offer trips to the hot springs.||Pack or bring a lunch and enjoy a relaxing soak in this cool and...
