Hotel Kamico — Hotel in Chiapas

This hotel was nice and clean, with a nice pool and free continental breakfast.||The breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, and fresh juice/coffee.||You could upgrade for a hot breakfast with eggs, meats, beans, fried plantains, pancakes, etc.||The rooms were clean with air and cable and there was wifi available.||The staff was very friendly, even the gate guards.||The room description said "all 92 room have air, a coffee maker and a refrigerator", however, there was not a refrigerator in our room. ||This makes a difference when you are traveling with children. If you select a hotel because it has a refrigerator, you can bring snacks and drinks along, knowing you will be able to keep them cool/fresh. We had to run to the local Walmart to buy ice and a cooler. Not a huge deal or a deal-breaker, but don't advertise you have refrigerators in the rooms...

I use to be a regular guest of this hotel. At least 3 times a year I did stay there with my family, In October last year I stay for 4 days. Left my 600 dollars watch in the room and as soon I check the GPS in it I call the manager of the hotel to keep it safe until I could send for it, There was no doubt I left it in the room. The manager told me that she will call in a few hours to let me know if housekeeping found it or not. She never calls me back so I call the following day. But that time the GPS on my watch was turned off. So when the manager finally answer my call told me that the watch was not in the room. Is very sad that a hotel is willing to lose a customer over a watch that obviously was stolen for a staff member bat what is even worst is that the hotel manager...

My parents are from Tapachula, that is why I make frequent travels to this city. I always choose Kamiko, it reminds me the old Tapachula. The Hotel is old, need a better maintenance but, the rooms have good space, beds are good, clean, zero noise, good parking lot and good service.||||Food is average, but is ok.||||I like the arquitechture of the hotel, but yes, it needs more maintenance. Love the view of the Tacana volcano from the upstairs floor, and the garden with the pool in the middle.||||Its a good place to stay, is in the city, not in a crowded place, but with easy access to everywhere.||||I only hope it allows dogs.||||I wont change it, I...
