Hotel Villa del Mar — Hotel in Chiapas

Price on the web site said $430 the son said $400. pesos when we arrived she said no $500 pesos. She did not speak any English. Son did some but walked away. She was trying to be nice. Asked to see the room. My partner wanted to stay, I didn't. So we did one night. Bed ok airconditing. Very busy road lots of noise. She never gave us the key. Had to ask for towels. Very old. Needs work. We asked for a room on the other side of the building. She said no. TV ok but no English channels. Kitchen areas dirty. Nothing cleaned. Paint over the floor..I guess she calls it her restaurant. We wouldn't eat here.

It's very affordable, but if it's a hot day, the air conditioner will struggle to cool the room. Make sure to check in early so the room has time to cool. If they had better and stronger air conditioners and didn't use carpets on the third floor, I'd give...
