I see that they get many high ratings and it was possibly just not our luck. But our experience has been horrible since the start. The way up to the cabin was about 1.5km of mostly dirt and mud, and it was challenging to pass through with our sedan (we had to stop the car at some point to scrape the mud of the wheel before being able to continue). Check-in was supposed to be at 2pm, but there was no one to assist us at that time bc the manager was on her lunch break and would come back at 5pm. We were given the wrong passcode to the key and almost had to stay outside in the rain while the host and manager were out of reach (or possibly ignoring us). The patio looked to have been partially cleaned, with ashes and leftover food visible on the grill. There was MOLD in the fridge, and it smelled foul. When confronted, the manager brought a simple cloth and wiped the mold away, NO EXTRA CLEANING PRODUCT USED. The room itself was filled with the smell of paint, which was extremely unpleasant. There was no toilet paper prepared for us, but we were compensated with sand, dirt, human and pet hair on our pillows, sheets, and shower drain. Even when presented with the problems, the manager insisted that it was thoroughly cleaned before we had arrived, and still charged us extra for the gas to use the grill and fire pit. Meanwhile, the host himself answered very reluctantly and ignored all the photos evidence we sent (as if he is used to having complaints like this). This was a terrible experience, especially considering the fact that my boyfriend and I stayed in a tent at another campground the day before checkin and we had a much better experience. We are extremely easygoing people, and would have preferred a civil way to resolve this issue. But without a proper acknowledgment from the host about the issues, and the reluctant and blaming about attitude of both the host and the manager, we want to make others aware of these businesses that only care about profit and not customer’s experience or safety before going to spend their hard-earned money on...
