Hampton Inn by Hilton Durango — Hotel in Durango

The hotel is beautiful, I reserved a king room with a sofa sleeper to assure the room would be bigger. When I arrived the representatives were having bit of an issue checking me in but after 15mins they were able to check me in. I go up to the room and realized it is not the room I reserved online. It had no sofa sleep and room was small. I tried to use the safe box and apperantly it was not working, fine I moved pass it but when I took a shower I slipped in the shower. The floor in the shower is very slippery after taking a fall I had to use a towel to finish showering. I am disappointed with my stay. On my reservation I was given a rate but when I checked out I was charged extra because the rate was not appropriate. I am sure I will not...

It's about 10 minutes by bus or car from the center of the city. Has a nice little plaza right next door where they sell some of the best wings and tacos that I have eaten. Breakfast is included. There is no pool. Overall very clean and quiet place. You can also catch the bus going to the cathedral area in the street right behind it.

I only dinged it a star because my key card stopped working before I had checked out, but I already had my things out of the room at least. Also there was an issue where our special rate had not been used for the entire stay. Well this is probably the best bet to stay in the heart of Durango, stayed here for a 3 day weekend in March. The room itself was in very good shape, clean, and very very quiet despite it being near a busy intersection. The bathroom was my favorite, a huge fan of a good water pressure as well as hot water, and was definitely very happy here!! I huge shout out to Rachel from the overnight team, she has superb customer service and is customer focused which is lovely to see and be attentive with!
