My husband and I celebrated our anniversary September 2, 2020 at the Mountain Resort. No time for the zipline or the horses, which I shall return for. The setting is otherworldly, way up on top of a forested ridge. We stayed in the lodge and the staff was happy to build us a roaring fire in the huge lodge lobby while we ate our room service dinner . The food is great and the staff in the lodge and the restaurant are friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and spacious but if you are looking for a TV forget it. Fortunately that was not our priority. The views are spectacular and there are many species of birds and trees that were fun to see. As I said, it was rainy season, but we spent time watching the lightning strike across the valley and the mists rise and fall...one minute it was clear and the next socked in with fog. One downside is the road to the property... more than 20 kilometers of unpaved, deeply rutted glory. Hang on...

A beautiful resort located in a magical pine forest. We drove up for a few days to escape the early summer heat in Mazatlán. At over 8000 ft elevation the temp was more then 30f cooler, so mission accomplished. We were greeted by the freshest pine scented air that I have experienced in a long time. The staff is great. ||The drive up from Mazatlán is about 4 hours with the last hour requiring slow travel due to mountain road, but a small car can pass without issue. Once we got off the cuota and on the mountain roads we found large way finding signs at every junction which was a good thing, because my map app wanted to send me down an impassable logging road. The drive from Mazatlan is spectacular. Make sure you have...

To my fellow US and Canadian friends this intimate resort is a must visit for two nights minimum. The drive from Mazatlán is spectacular upon entering the mountains. The resort is modern, rooms and cabins are well appointed, the restaurant is very good and the service and attention of staff is wonderful. Located in pristine pine forest. This is a secure, safe and wonderful environment. Being a former ski racer I am familiar with US mountains and resorts. Also, I was the manager of a elegant and small hotel in Vail, Colorado, where many celebrities stayed. Molinillos is a rare jewell that my family loves and is on par with the best smaller and intimate...

My partner and I stayed here before heading to the city and the entire experience was exceptional. We were here for Christmas and it felt like we were the only two there at times. There is something really beautiful about not having 24 hour front desk service like in the states. The food was so good along with all the drinks. The spa was one of the best we’ve come across. Everyone was so lovely. The hotel connected us with a Driver Cristian to pick us up and take us back to the city and he was amazing and friendly and helpful in taking us to pull money out.
