My husband and I found this gem for our 18th year anniversary. First let me say that I knew it would be a great "get away" because we were heading to Mexico and a Ranch; my two favorite things. Due to the staff and all they do to please you and make your stay a wonderful experience we will be going back for years to come. I hope our local San Diego/So Cal folks know what an easy drive it is down there, spread the word. Let me start off with Oscar who will reply to your emails timely and perfectly. Greeting as your check in with Sangria was Karina. Karina and Oscar worked together to schedule us Quad rides and Horseback riding. Karina is a ball of energy always there to take care of anything you need and makes you laugh at the same time. Rodrigo who is a 2nd generation Ranch Boss also takes care of the food. What hotel feeds you breakfast & dinner included in the price of your stay? Food was prepared as you were coming to eat. The first night was the most tender flank steak perfectly grilled over a mesquite BBQ. Fresh tortillas, frijoles and eggs cooked perfectly in the morning.

The only tips I have for folks is they are on generators so bring a flash light if needed. Depending on the night and hotel count they will let you know when lights out. Also they do not sell alcohol so bring your own if you like to drink. They have a world class shuffle board that we played all night. They have a pool table, horseshoes but that beautiful lawn need croquet game. I have to go back and see all the puppies / dogs. I am in love with these people and this place. Please help with their marketing and spread the word. I know at race time they are booked but it is the...

This is a long overdue review !||I am a long time Baja ADV rider and this past year my riding partner had a bad crash coming out of Mikes Skyrancho enroute to the pacific side.||To his credit he was able to continue ,but our trip was over :(||I had heard about the Horsepower Ranch from some other riders at Santa Veronica.|It appeared to be an ideal location to rest up.||We had a long ride from El Rosario and had made a wrong turn or two so by the time we arrived in the vicinity of HR, it was dark and no signs were visible .....||Amazingly I had cell service and called the the Ranch. The phone was answered by Justin , I believe, he was actually in the states, but tried to guide us In.||It was too dark and we were dead tired - and for the life of us we could not find the road ...another call to Justin and he had the ranch hands drive up to the road and guide us in !||Just in time as my friend was about to pass out from pain and exhaustion....||Once we arrived it was truly a Baja Oasis.|We had a delicious dinner promptly served to us and a some pain killing tequila!|The bar area featured the Baja Racer Wall of Fame and had pictures of all the great champions from Parnelli Jones to Robby Gordon.||We were well looked after for a couple days till my friend could make it to the border.||We also met Todd Clement, of Baja Wide Open who was the owner and he could not have been nicer.||I am already planning my next trip!||A big shout out to the staff and the amazing cook whose...

This was our first stop on our off road truck trip called Trail of Missions. It was unfortunate that there was a forest or desert fire that had started when we arrived so there was a lot of smoke in the air. The place has a great vintage feel when you pull into the property. There is a pool, outdoor dining area and bar. The best rooms are located around the circle. Of course my guest were in those. We as crew were in the rooms that sit farther out and above the circle. These are a little rough with no a/c. They were clean but the holes in the screens made you wonder what could crawl in. You had to share the bathroom with the next room which was fine if the toilet chain didn't keep breaking and if there was hot water. What made up for it was the staff. They were amazing and very accomodating for our group. They set up a bar at the pool and a wonderful meal they served outside to us. Inside is the most amazing lounge with big beefy furniture and a stone fireplace. The bar area is great too. It's a huge wood bar that matches the lounge area. Over all the staff was great and gave me a wonderful tour of the property. They were helpful with anything I had asked for. But a huge fyi...the whole place runs on a generator which turns off every night at 11ish and turns back on early in the morning. So make sure to plug in your phone to charge right when you get there. There isn't much service so you won't be...

Always a great experience! Beautiful resort and accommodations. We ran into an overbook issue after finishing a race at 11:30pm at night with another hotel in Ensenada. The only place that helped us out was horsepower ranch! Not only did they accommodate to us racers after business hours, the staff made sure we were fed before we went to bed. Can’t thank them enough for their hospitality! Thank you for having our backs after a long race day 🤙

With a combination of rustic and serene, this is a perfect place to land after a hard day in the Baja desert. Browse the history of Baja racing as you finish ice cold Margherita. The food never disappoints and the staff are amazing and always friendly. We love making Horsepower Ranch a stop on our journey to Baja.
