Hotel Kocai Izamal — Hotel in Izamal

What a wonderful stay we had at Kocai. This place far exceeds what you see in pictures in terms of experience. The seven buildings are arranged beautifully around a large pool. There is an outdoor area to enjoy and the whole place is enclosed by a wall for a safe and comfortable environment. The insides of the rooms are really nicely done. The construction of the roof is exposed and it is done in the Mayan style, really a work of art more than a structure. There are mosquito nets over the bed and there was also a hammock in our room. Some people have talked about the walk to the center being long but we found it comfortable, and we enjoyed removing ourselves from the noise of the town.
