Motel Rokka — Hotel in Jalisco

** Updated review ⚠️ Worst motel experience ever. Don’t be fooled by the low price — it’s not worth it.

Bed was dirty, floor sticky, and mosquitoes everywhere.

Staff don’t speak a word of English.

Booking.com lists it as an overnight stay, but in reality it’s only 6–8 hours. They confiscate your passport at check-in, and I strongly suspect they won’t return it unless you pay extra if you exceed the hours. Very unsafe practice.

When I arrived, they said there was no water or electricity, so no shower, no AC, no lights, no TV — and still refused to change my room.

On top of that, data roaming connectivity in the area is terrible. My eSIM failed 90% of the time, so I couldn’t use the translation app, book transport, or even call for help easily.

The only small positive: two staff members did help when a taxi driver tried to scam me(yes the similar incident happen again just like last year), and I tipped them 20 MXN each. But overall, this motel feels like a scam trap for solo foreigners.

Honestly, it should be delisted from Booking.com to protect other travelers.

Since my flight is at 6am in the morning, I decided to book this motel through a booking 3rd party app to get some rest.

Upon arrival, one of the staff lead me to my room and ask for payment. They gave me the a lot less change. But since since they couldn't speak a word or english, I decided not to dwell on this and quickly continue to shower and rest.

Room is nice design, however music were blast loudly and floor is sticky.

After checking out, I ask them to get me a taxi to airport, which they ask for 250 peso when uber is only 90 peso. But thats not all, upon arrival the taxi driver refuse to let me go and FORCE ME TO PAY 450 pesos.

This place should be pulled from booking.com. They pretend to be a hotel, but they are not. Its a push pure and simple....A place where you take your mistress of the moment....The accomodations are actually quite nice. But if you think youve rented a hotel for the night waiting for a late night flight then you will be very disappointed. They give you 8 hours.......and if 5 minutes after paying you realize what the deal is, they will NOT refund you your money. Bad deal all around. i recommend avoiding it at all costs....bad neighborhood too. Ugly and noisy. This is my 3rd visit. The first was very nice and peaceful. The 2nd and this one was horrible. It seems after 10pm, the noise from the carts, cleaning ladies, and music last until 5am nonstop. Don't expect to sleep. I would think the owner would recognize the mistakes and fix this problem. We are after all their livelihood. On a better note, the rooms are quite nice and although noisy at night, the staff were friendly every visit. Unfortunately I will not be returning unless a response is made promising a change about the noise. Your prices are great but not to waste...
