one Guadalajara Periférico Norte — Hotel in Jalisco

I stayed at this hotel because it was very close to my friend's house, who I was visiting to go to her wedding! We stayed Wednesday 1/18/17 -Thursday 1/24/17. The hotel and room was very clean. The bed was comfortable, but we should've asked for more pillows (we just kept forgetting to ask for more :) ). The bed was very, very comfortable, although it's a double bed (my boyfriend and I are used to at least queen size beds). The room's space was used very efficiently. Good water pressure. Nice amount of space. They had a few english channels on TV which was awesome. The staff was amazing! My boyfriend and I know very little spanish, but the staff was always polite and eager to help us with whatever we might need. I'm so glad they sold water and snacks in the lobby! Also, we only had breakfast there one morning, but it was awesome! They had stuff for breakfast tacos, different meats, eggs, salsas, which I loved, but also stuff for more plain eaters (which my boyfriend loved) like a few cereals, oatmeal, and plenty of nice cut up fruit. There was also always coffee available throughout the day. It was pretty quiet overall in the hotel, but because there is very little carpet (all hardwood floors) the halls and rooms can be a little noisy and has a bit of an echo. Someone else might have been unhappy with this flaw, but it wasn't a problem at all for us because it was very quiet. If I could give it a 0 I would. This is our third night here after this place was recommended by a family member. We went downstairs to get breakfast and take it to our room. We had previously done this our first night, after we asked and they gave us trays. We asked for trays again today but they didn’t have any so we had to go down a second time for drinks. While we were walking back to the elevator, 2 guys in the reception area starting staring at us and laughing. My mother and I tried to ignore it and waited for the elevator doors to open. As we walked in and waiting for the doors to close, one of the guys kept laughing and said “I didn’t know they had room service”. That is very unprofessional and out of the line. No guest should have to deal with that much less get laughed at and hear inappropriate comments. Never staying here again. The rooms are also very small, the bed sheets and pillow cases are stained and dirty. Housekeeping doesn’t even clean they just “tidy up”. Definitely don’t recommend...

DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO POSSIBLY BE KIDNAPPED!!!! If possible, would give 0 stars. My grandparents were KIDNAPPED in the hotel and the hotel was in on it. My grandparents were detained IN THEIR ROOM at the hotel. We received a call from a kidnapper who was asking for 25,000 USD. After not being able to contact my grandparents, we tried calling the hotel but they did not direct our call to their room! The police was able to track their phones and they were in the hotel!
