Hotel Las Américas — Hotel in Michoacán

Pros||Staff is very nice and helpful except they don't always get back to me.||The shower has hot water FOREVER. I was in heaven. ||For the first time since I got to Mexico I was able to take hot showers for a long time. Nice big showers too.||Cleaning lady offered to clean my clothes since I was stuck at the hotel with no clean clothes. Very sweet.||The restaurant downstairs has a great chicken quesadilla and their chicken broth with rich isn't bad either, although the first time at night it was better than during the day. ||Nice late 1 pm checkout.||Cons||Manager lied and told me there were no rooms available. Then how come I asked if the person paying for my room had and clearly my room was still available the next day.||I had put several different food items for them to store in their fridge in the Manga restaurant. It turns out they were freezing it. WOW. I didn't want frozen food.||One afternoon it took over 30 minutes and me going up at least 4 times and me even telling them I think that's the bag over there, before they would give me the food and all they did was place the Styrofoam into a microwave (which is toxic) and it spew chemicals all over the food and the tray melted into my food. ||I threw out the rest when I realized that.||They said they would heat my food up for me, but tonight I went in at 10 (they close at 10:30 pm) and asked them to heat it up on the stove, not in the microwave. They refused. I had to get the nice guy at the front desk to do it for me. Yes I tipped him.||The rooms aren't cleaned properly. Hair on the back of the toilet 2 days in a row and hair on my floor towel. ||They also threw out all of my limes and a large empty water bottle I needed. I wasn't happy. The cleaning lady did replace the limes, but still. ||They also threw my nightshirt on the floor in the corner. Why do that?||The bathroom faucet is so short, it leaks all over the back of the sink and water leaks onto the floor. ||The toilet paper holder is 1" off the ground. Look at this. Also, when they came into clean, they didn't even replace the toilet paper roll. It had maybe 5 sheets on it and that's it. ||Twice there was tons of smoke smell in my room. The first time it wasn't their fault because there was a fire somewhere in the mountains, but the second time it had to have been by them. On that same night while sleeping there was a chemical smell. I woke up with a headache.||Three nights in a row now the front desk guy who is very nice, must have a friend or a guest who talks to him and that person talks so loud, I can hear him in my room which isn't even near the front desk. I can barely work or sleep because of the noise. The first night he didn't shut up until 4:30 am. It's 3 am now, still noise.||I figured out a day or two later that it WAS the night shift guy making all the noise, not a friend.||The noise in this hotel is terrible, but that seems to be common in Mexico. In the first room I was in, I could hear the guy snoring.||If money is no object for you, then disregard. Every restaurant in this area is very expensive and no, that doesn't mean the food is good. I paid a fortune for food and none of it was worth having again and one restaurant near Las Americas mall got me sick from their carpaccio. It's called Lucio Italo - Argentino||It took 3 rooms and 3 moves before I got a room that ha stable internet and wasn't noisy, but there were still some noise issues on the Friday night and of course the night shift guy.||I don't recommend any room facing the main street unless you love tons of heat from the sun and tons of noise. Even the room next to mine left their door open (it's the culture) and were talking so loudly I couldn't do any work.||While the last room was okay, because of some other rooms and more so the front desk, I didn't enjoy my stay.||When I mentioned to a local that I was staying at Hotel Las Americas, they both said ohhh and sighed and then laughed. Clearly it has a bad reputation to locals in Morelia. I didn't choose it, the person who hosted me at her Airbnb did.||Their pillow was garbage. I mean it had all of those little balls in it after a pillow degrades and no support at all.||I could smell cigarette smoke probably from the room above my room. I woke up with a headache.||When I was leaving and had 3 bags & a plastic bag, not one staffer (they were sitting at a table outside yapping in front of the driveway) bothered to help me. Sure, they probably weren't working, but I had been there for 6 days. They could have helped. It was obvious I was...

Muy buena ubicación , excelente para pasar la noche, si vas por negocio o viaje pero empezamos con el primer detalle recepción , una mujer ya de mayor de edad es muy sangrona , no te da la mirada ni el buenos días ,tardes o bienvenido, es muy antipática y siempre está de mal humor, le pedí instrucciones del hotel, y se molestaba, me comentaba que todo estaba pegado en la pared con unos mini letreros o sea no te cuesta nada, ser amable, es tu trabajo, no puedo identificarla, ya que no usa gafete para saber su cargo y nombre , la habitación que me tocó, estaba muy limpia dos toallas , jabón, agua, caliente y fría dos botellas de agua, incluyendo vasos, TV y un pequeño ventilador que no se usó , el Internet, si es pésimo , el edificio cuenta con las escaleras y elevador , por las mañanas de 09:00 a 11:00 am si incluye almuerzo buffet había bastante para escoger jugo ,café , pan , y diferentes platillos , algo que me molestó bastante es que a partir de las 06:00 am el personal del aseo empieza con un caos y por lo general, a esa hora uno, trata de dormir y descansar, y el personal está hablando entre ellos , diciéndo el que pasó del día a día y te echas toda la plática y cómo mueven de cosas, entonces si deseas levantarte tarde es imposible , también cuenta con estacionamiento privado, pero tiene un horario es necesario invertir un poco más de efectivo al hotel en remodelaciones y mantenimiento, ya que cuenta con muy buena ubicación y te mueves muy fácil caminando a centros comerciales y negocios...

Al llegar todos parecen amables pero el único que lo es, es el chico que te lleva a tu habitación, es súper atento, el de entre semana. De ahí en fuera toooooodo mal, mi toalla de la cara de ensucio así que la puse en el piso como salida de baño y estaba empapada y sucia y solo esperaron a que se secara y me la pusieron de nuevo en el toallero del lavabo, las toallas grandes también me pusieron las mismas todos los días, el teléfono de la habitación no servía y me chorearon diciendo que mandarían al técnico y jamás lo hicieron, volví a decirles y me propusieron cambiarme de habitación, jamás lo arreglaron, el restauran tiene un pésimo servicio, carísimo, pague 50 pesos por un vaso normal de jugo verde, los garrafones de los pasillos vacíos en los 4 días que estuve, las colchas en mal estado, pregunte por la clave de wifi y me dijeron, la tiene pegada en su teléfono y estaba en una etiqueta que apenas se veía, no me la quisieron dar, solo la recepcionista del sábado es muy atenta, para lo que cuesta, parece hotel de paso, no vale...
