Located in the Mountains in Michoacán and close to Morelos. Are natural hot springs that are so relaxing and are always hot! You can relax in the hot spring pools and the extra hot soaking spa.
Definitely off the beaten path and there is “NO CELL PHONE SERVICE”, Seriously! It’s a 2-3 hour drive from Morelia Michoacán Mexico. But, it’s worth the drive and located in the mountains. It’s very cool and cold at night! So you will need some warm clothes and swimming suits too!
You can rent cabins and enjoy a extended weekend stay or a family vacation! You can rent several cabins and have your entire family vacation together. The staff even bring you firewood and start the fire in your cabin.
There’s plenty of places to grill carne asada”steak”, chicken, fish, and veggies over fire! There are covered patios by the hot spring pools or on the vast resort.
Sit by the pool and enjoy a cold beer, glass of wine, or some tequila. Then go back at night with some hot tea, coffee, or hot chocolate in the hot springs.
Excellent place for kids & the family. Also great for a romantic getaway. The cabins come in different sizes and are cozy. But, you have everything you need to be able to cook your own food. You will need to bring big pots, pans, and skillets for large meals. I also recommend bringing your own large bottles of water. Also instant coffee and anything else you need for a picnic.
Walk around and enjoy the beautiful grounds and the beautiful mountains. Sit and relax listening to your favorite music. Then sit in the kitchen by the fire and enjoy watching a movie at night.
Or go outside with a coat, sweater, and pants to sit by a fire. There’s a huge field to play Futbol, American football, or throw a baseball. It’s secure and the staff provides exceptional service to everyone! This is a must vacation place for everyone at least once or twice a year. This is a beautiful and economical place to stay! If you love the outdoors and nature. Then this is definitely where you want to visit!
You can even come for a day trip for $50 Pesos for each person’s. They have changing facilities, showers, and large clean bathrooms for everyone to enjoy.
Bring Cash”Pesos” because some vendors come selling ice cream, produce, snacks, and other drinks.
Experience something totally different and come enjoy one of Gods greatest gifts to the area. The relaxing hot springs are full of minerals that feel great on your skin. They even have a natural steam sauna that is extremely hot and you only need 5-15 minutes maximum. To sweat off some water weight and then get back into one of the pools. The hot tub is extremely hot, but...
Read moreUnfortunately this place simply survives on its previous glory. Years ago this place was run by a woman who took great pride in her resort. As she got older she turned the property over to her children who operate it as a cash machine. They do the bare minimum required to keep it operational and nothing more. The restaurant is a shell of its former self. They hand you a piece of paper with the menu and ask you to fill in the desired quantities. Trout is no longer a staple and what is left is simple and not very good. Two men now run the place on behalf of the owners but find themselves unable to even enforce the posted rules. Day visitors are permitted and my second day there, two couples arrived and set themselves up in one of the pools. They played very loud music as well as drinking hard liquor from glass bottles while sitting in the pool (posted rules state no food or drink in the pools). Not once did they leave the pool and it was obvious they relieved themselves in the pool. At the same time there was a tour group of retirees using the same pool. None of us were happy. I commented to the caretaker and he said there was nothing he could do as they would simply ignore him. The owners clearly only care about money. The rooms are cleaned daily yet mold remains in the shower. The curtains in my room were half falling down yet were never fixed. Even the garden is no longer well maintained. What could be a very nice resort is simply now simply a cash cow. It...
