Casa Lula — Hotel in Oaxaca

I was looking for a last minute place to stay for dia de muertos and I found this place. My bus from mexico city was delayed 3 hrs so I arrived at 11pm 3hrs past check in time and I explained to the owner I woukd be late and they said that was completely fine. I was worried Noone would be there to check me in but there was so I was relieved. There's a bus station right outside to take you to Centro only 20mins. I also had an early bus back to Mexico city which was 2hrs before checkout time and again the staff was very understanding. Casa Lula is a comfortable and cozy place where you have access to private rooms for a good price.

The owners are nice people and the students who are staying there for the long term are friendly. I had a good time there :)

It takes around 15- 20 minutes to arrive downtown so it is not too far or too close.

If you are sensitive to noise I recommend you buy good earplugs because there are noisy bars around the area and also some of the students stay around late.
