This is a nice 2 mile hike from La Unión. After crossing the Belize-Mexico border at La Unión by boat, register at the immigration office (free if you have your passport). Then take the road to the right past the soldier post all the way to the end of the village where there are signs showing the way to the cenote. Follow the trail along the most-used route through fields and even a gate and fence. We were charged 25 MXN when we reached the building by the cenote. The water is crystal clear and a comfortable cool temperature. The paths were a bit muddy coming from the riverside, but grassy and beautiful near the cenote.
