Hotel Del Valle — Hotel in San Luis Potosí

Well, really there are no other decent hotels in El Naranjo. Hotel Del Valle has basic and clean rooms with a great location. It is on the main street, very closed to the bridge. I have stayed here a couple of times. It is safe and the staff are nice. El Naranjo is the hopping point for Minas Viejas waterfall, the most beautiful in the area, the powerful El Meco waterfall, and El Salto waterfall, which most of the year has no water because of the hydroelectric dam above. El 27 de julio del presente año fui a reservar una habitación para ese día y la dejé pagada y mencioné que iba a llegar en la noche. La señorita que me atendió me dio una tarjeta y me pidió que la llenara con mis datos y me dijo que le sacara una fotografía, para que me acordara del número de la habitación. Como apenas se iba a dar el cambio no me dieron la llave, pero como había dejado pagado no le di importancia; sin embargo, cuando llegué, cerca de la media noche, confiada en que descansaría porque debía viajar al día siguiente, resulta que ya le habían dado mi habitación a otra persona y "no encontraban la tarjeta de reservación" y me ofrecieron un cuarto sin aire acondicionado. Obviamente me molesté y les exigí que me devolvieran el dinero, cosa que hicieron a regañadientes. Gracias a su ineptitud tuve qué viajar a media noche hasta mi ciudad, cansada y muy decepcionada de ese horrible servicio. No dejo de pensar que creyeron que como llegué a media noche ya no iba a ocupar la habitación y por eso querían quedarse con el pago del cuarto, pero no es justo.
