Nice close to nature experience. ||||We arrive late and were welcomed by Herculiano (night guard) vey friendly and interesting old man, who has a lot of experiences living on Xilitla/Huasteca Potosina. If you have more time in your agenda, you should try to set a trip with him to visit the surroundings, sound very interesting. ||||We were there for the nest experience, they give you a lamp and extra blankets if you need it. The nest is very small, inside is just a round mattress, aprox, two meters diameter, you only have the mattress, pillows, blanket and the space to hang the lamp. It is really all you need, we loved the experience, the noises in the night, the rain over the nest. We slept comfortable and with no mosquitoes. Outside the nest there is a plastic box in which you may put all your belongings. They also give you a lock in case you need to feel more secure within the nest, you do not need to have a lock.||||Near the dining room, there is an open spot to sit and wait for sunrise, the spot is very unique, you can view all the Huasteca Potosina and the sun in front of you. Ask at with time is the sunrise, so you wake up on time. For us the show was at 7:00am.||||Food from their restaurant is very good. People is very serviceable. You can have breakfast with a very nice view.||||This place is good for the experience, you have a good rest and that's it, there is not too much to do. Just sit on the restaurant, and observe the landscaping while having a coffee. They have also some "hamacas" hammocks if you want to rest more.||||This hotel is about 10-15 minutes...
Read moreWe visited the hotel because you supposedly have hanging rooms, they call them nests. We made a reservation for a nest, and we imagined that they were hanging. According to the press they have received, they are advertised as hanging in a nest like a bird. When we arrived, they showed us our nest; it was in close proximity to a village road and one could see a few buildings. The other nests are a bit further away but it should be noted the hotel is in a small town and is not isolated. We immediately noted the nest was not hanging from cable but was rather attached to the platform.. The young lady then explained that of the six nests only 2 are hanging. She commented that we should have asked for a hanging room. I would suggest that they provide that information when you call. The young lady was very sweet and offered to phone other nearby hotels. We decided to leave and stayed in a nearby posada. We really could not justify the price when the room was so small and not hanging. At the hotel we did stay they commented that they thought Tapasoli was very expensive. It might be worth the experience but both of the hanging rooms were already occupied.||We tried dinner later that evening and it was quite good. ||With a little work and an updated accurate website, the place could be...
Read moreThe place is absolutely fabulous. How ever the staff is under knowledge and not much welcoming. There wifi hardly works and paying with a credit is difficult because not always working. It’s also super difficult to make de reservations, they do not have a website. You have to find a way to contact them directly and it’s probably an issue to communicate if you don’t speak Spanish. It’s also weird that not only they make you sign a paper to confirm that they supply duvet, 2 towels, one hand towel and a bath rug. They also come with you in your room to verify and make you confirmed that they are all there. I have been travelling in 3 continents and never saw that before. They put you a colour paper bracelet and informed you that you don’t have access to the site, only to the parking to your room and your room to the restaurant. So, it take away the magic of the place right from the start. he food of the restaurant isn’t too good, the server can’t even open a bottle of wine. It’s a place where it should be a restaurant of high gastronomy, not a cantine menu. Anyway, the place is physically awesome but because of the low service and management it’s not worth...
