Posada James Xilitla — Hotel in San Luis Potosí

I found Posada James because I was only coming to Las Pozas for 2 nights and I wanted a place close to the entrance of the Edward James sculpture park and neighboring waterfall. ||I was so delighted by this place! First of all, it is walking distance from the attractions, so it is very convenient and easy to walk to the Sculpture Park. ||The property is also situated on a mountainside with a beautiful patio overlooking the jungle. This is where breakfast is served and it is gorgeous to enjoy the mornings here with the green trees, birds, butterflies and scenic views. ||The room (#3) was spacious and the bed EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. It is hot and humid in Xilitla but the air conditioner worked perfectly and it was great to have the cool air all night while I slept. ||The staff was very friendly and nice, and it was very relaxing to be in such an idyllic and quaint place. I stayed at Posada James with my family on July 2017. The accommodations included breakfast (small fruit plate, coffee, bottled juice, and a piece of bread). They were always out of fruit by 8 AM and they would just replace it with chopped apples and Jamaica water because they were also out of orange juice. Service always took very long. The rooms were nice and clean, but not the safest for families with older parents or small children. The showers had a big step down and into a slippery "tile tub". We had to call for help every time we needed to open one of the rooms because the lock would jam and nobody fixed it during our stay. The hotel is far from downtown, friendly staff, the rooms are not very clean, the mattresses were uncomfortable, there is not good lighting in the rooms. We did not get a good night sleep at this place, the view was spectacular. The room includes continental breakfast but we ordered scrambled eggs with ham for our party, we were 5 couples, they served our breakfast to another party staying there, when we asked for our order they said they served it to them but they would prepare more for us.
