Madre del Mar — Hotel in Sonora

Great location and beach! Kathy stayed on the premises even though our family had booked all four rentals. This was something that was not disclosed prior to our arrival. You could tell the house was a little dated and some maintenance was performed while we were there. It would’ve been nice to know beforehand but some of it may have stemmed from the storm weeks prior. Another small disappointment was that there was no welcome binder or instructions which led to a lack of communication and expectations. Kathy would pull aside any person she could find throughout the day and explain helpful information but it would have been better to have it written down somewhere. She was helpful and resolved issues quickly, however many of them could easily be fixed with arrival and departure instructions. Another thing to note, we had all left to go into town for dinner and upon getting back we found the owner asleep on one of the personal rental porches. Not professional at all. Summed up her presence was definitely felt during our stay. The weekend was great, the house was in a great location and we appreciated the numerous fans...

We just stayed at Madr del Mar at Las Conchas Beach in Rocky Point. We LOVE this home! We have stayed with our large family a couple of times before. This home is beachfront with accommodations for 20 people. There is plenty of beds and space for everyone, or you can rent part of the townhomes or casitas for smaller groups. All kitchen stuff, bedding, towels, chairs, kayaks, grills, etc. are provided Kathy is wonderful to deal with. She answers all of your questions and provides recommendations. We were there September 10-14th, 2020. We had no trouble at the border and the locals are wonderful and friendly. The restaurants have more safety precautions than the U.S. Just wear your masks. We had a fantastic time! We definitely recommend renting from Kathy and making family memories at Madre del Mar.

Gorgeous home right on the beach! For over 25 years my family has been staying here. The flexibility of this home is amazing. 4 quadrants to rent. Genius! We've rented the entire property numerous times and it's just great to have everyone at the same house, all walled in, covered parking, BBQ, courtyard...the list goes on. Unbeatable beachfront shaded deck that overlooks the Sea of Cortez. You must stay here. Keep in mind that Mexico doesn't always have the infrastructure that the US has. Any home down there may have water or electrical issues. Relax! You're on vacation! Just...
