Hotel Metropolitano — Hotel in Tamaulipas

The Hotel in itself is basically okay for a budget hotel but the reception staff are very inflexible and I really hope the management see this and put them wise as to what they can do. We had just arrived by Bus into Tampico and urgently needed to contact someone nearby, a local call, and asked the girl behind the counter if she could call them. She said she was not authorized to do so! What? A local call for a customer? That is very wrong. Checkout time us 12pm and we appreciate how hotels work. We were being picked up at 1pm and I asked if we could stay in the room until 12:45. Again, no flexibility. She said 'checkout time is 12pm' pointing at the time. She clearly had no discretion and must have known the hotel was virtually empty. Their listing says staff speak English. No they don't-it's a lie-the evening and the morning front desk staff spoke none and were a bit rude. The parking was free and on site but almost impossible to get into the spot-luckily I had a small SUV. It is difficult place to find even with GPS. The bedding was thin-essentially no cover. And naturally, the wifi didn't work at all-I was driving from town to town to get from the US to Belize across Mexico and thus didn't have data driving and needed to check e-mails-luckily I was only there to try to sleep. Pésimo servicio al cliente, la señora que te recibe en recepción necesita clases de modales... ibamos llegando de la playa ya habíamos rentado cuarto y le dijo a mi hermana que se fuera a poner una blusa pq ahi no era hotel de playa y en un tono muy déspota nisiquiera fue como que lo haya dicho amablemente... ojo mi hermana traía el top de traje de baño y falda larga!! Ha y su argumento fue que pq en el hotel también estaban hospedados "hermanos de la religión" lo cual se me hace una.... así que tomen eso en cuenta para esto no hay ningún cartel o aviso que diga esto en el establecimiento nisiquiera en las puertas... al final del día es un hotel y a un hotel llegan mucho tipo de personas con diferente tipo de vestimenta y no se me hace para nada correcto el hacer ese tipo de acciones y menos con tonos hasta cierto...
