HS HOTSSON Hotel Tampico — Hotel in Tamaulipas

The HS Hotsson Tampico used to be from the Camino Real chain until 2019. This is a classic hotel in Tampico with good location, nice gardens and lovely swimming pool.||||However, the service from HS Hotsson Management is not good. ||||I stayed for 3 nights, and the problem is with the time for cleaning the room. ||||On my second day here , came back to the hotel al 11.30 Hrs and the room was not clean yet. I had to call to ask for cleaning service. ||||But on the secon day, situation was even worst, as at 13.25 Hrs still the room was not clean. I had to call 2 times to ask for the room to be cleaned. During one of the calls, I asked for the Hotel Manager and was explained that as it was Sunday the manager was not in the Hotel. My room ended up clean at 13.50 Hrs. This is sub-standard for a hoitel supposed to be of this quality, ||||This is not the fault of the cleaning lady, but from the Hotel Management that do not have enough staff to complete these duties.||||So if during an stay here you plan to return to your room after 18.00 Hrs , this is not an issue. But if plan to return around noon keep...

Friendly and helpful staff at the reception, check-in was real easy and quick. First impressions is a really nice hotel, probably one of the better ones in Tampico.||The rooms are a bit dated and dog eared in places, but very clean and well looked after from the cleaning staff. The fridge in the room held water, juice and beer. The staff would come round daily and refill the fridge for free, or call them to replenish anytime.||The shower was really powerful and good.||The amenities at the hotel are pretty limited with a small size pool and lounge area, and a small gym on the first floor. ||There is a bar (pretty dead and empty) and a restaurant that served good food, but again a bit soulless. The empty bar and soulless restaurant could be down to the Covid restrictions, with social distancing and 9 pm closing times?||There is a nice coffee shop in the reception area that was pretty good, and nice place to people watch.||Overall a nice clean professional hotel, but the Covid restrictions dampened the hotel's...
