Hotel plaza palmas — Hotel in Tuxpan

Check-in was smooth. The front desk staff member was friendly and professional. The rest of the staff were professional but indifferent, they looked sad. I didn’t need them to be happy but it was depressing seeing them like that. I had a problem with my room TV remote, a staff member went and helped me, she was courteous and helpful.

Our room was clean, 1 hand towel, 2 bath towels, 1 bathroom floor towel, 2 shampoos, no conditioner, 2 waters, 2 small soaps were available on the sink. The rooms are simple but clean. The room door locks, but a swift kick will open it, it has an inside flimsy safety chain. There is a connecting door (thin door) to the room next door with a lock but it doesn’t feel very secure or private, you can hear neighbors. The beds are clean but the mattress is extremely hard. The tile floor, sink, shower, toilet, counters are clean. Their towels were super clean. Furniture was clean. The shower tile could do with more scrubbing, just wear sandals to shower. The room lighting is average. The bed comforter is thin, pillows are comfortable and puffy. The room is spacious. The window blinds cover very well. You need to ask what TV channels are available because there is no guide. The mini-split AC cooling worked really well.

The hotel is about 2 blocks from the main bus station in Tuxpan, 10 minute walk through a good side walk in case you’re dragging your luggage. I was able to get a taxi in PM by standing near the street without a problem. In the early morning rush hour the hotel called for a taxi but no one came, I had to walk to the bus station. I tried getting one by standing by the street for about 20 minutes but every taxi was taken, rush hour. Take that into account if you’re in a rush.

The pool and surrounding is beautiful and peaceful. Pool was clean. There is spacious parking with one entry and exit for safety, I felt safe.

The restaurant is clean but simple, no decor on walls at all. The food is a little pricey, not too pleasant to the eye but tasted ok, nothing special. Their lemonade is delicious. Breakfast is included with your stay. I did not have breakfast because of an early checkout.

There isn’t any restaurants or stores immediately nearby, you need to walk a distance or take a taxi. The price per night is reasonable, price similar to hotels downtown.

I would consider staying here again if I could take advantage of the free breakfast and pool the next time around (didn’t have my swimsuit). The hotel feels secure since it has a fence. If you’re traveling with family and more vehicles, this is a great place. You can park next to each other and there’s plenty of space for kids to run around and adults to sit, relax, and have a drink. Otherwise, hotels downtown are about the same price, there are more taxis in the downtown area, and there are more things to do and places to eat nearby if you don’t...

A juzgar por el equipamiento diría que al menos 15 años. Nos cambiaron de habitación en donde el AC si funcionaba PERO ahora la TV no funcionaba. El joven lo arregló en unos minutos.||||El teléfono de la habitación nunca funcionó (no lo ocupamos de todos modos)||||CONCLUSIÓN:||||El precio del hotel $1400 pesos (US $70) es muy elevado para el estilo del hotel. Sus instalaciones son MUY bonitas pero les falta mantenimiento y actualización, especialmente a los baños y a los equipos eléctricos y electrónicos.||||Según pienso yo, el destino turístico de Tuxpan tiene visitantes en pequeñas y cortas temporadas, por lo que los hoteles de este tipo batallan para mantenerlos en perfectas condiciones al no tener ingresos constantes.||||Nos quedamos en este hotel porque era semana santa y los hoteles que ya conocemos estaban completamente llenos. Esta es una opción de una o dos noches y sobre todo el costo, pues es casi el de el Holiday Inn o el Crowne Plaza.||||Sugiero que, si llegan a Tuxpan, y están llenos los hoteles, de todos modos vayan a esos hoteles y discretamente pregunten a los maleteros o personal de recepción, que si tienen alguna reservación hecha por los locales... ||||Me enteré que muchos locales, hacen reservaciones en los hoteles y las re-venden con un sobre costo de 200 pesos, así que vale la...

Es una joya no tan escondida en Tuxpan, me encantó casi todo de este hotel, su arquitectura es como setentera pero bien mantenida, es un terreno enorme muy bien distribuido con juegos infantiles, canchas de tenis, baquetbol y hasta una pequeña cancha de fútbol. La alberca es muy grande ubicada al centro del complejo, un poco sucia (hojas e insectos) un punto a considerar por la gerencia, algo que se debe mencionar es que prestan toallas para la alberca y la playa, cosa que en otros hoteles de Tuxpan no hacen. Las habitaciones son amplias y limpias, con excelente iluminación que entra por sus ventanales pero con cortinas blackout que permiten privacidad, no me encantaron las camas, son duras y las almohadas son planas y el piso es resbaloso (lo comprobamos) lo cuál me parece un riesgo si sales de bañarte o llegas de la alberca. El precio por habitación es bastante accesible además incluye un desayuno muy basto y rico con pan blaco y dulce, jugo y café. El personal muy amable y servicial.
