Hotel Klimt — Hotel in Veracruz

I give it a 5* because of the service. It is a solid 4 star hotel with valet, room service and the kitchen staff knows what they are doing. The breakfast buffet is during the weekend. When it is not busy they will cook to order the breakfast that comes with your stay. Italia at reception changed my room to a higher floor. The hotel is in a cramped neighborhood with neighbors that have dogs that bark. It is on a main strip where vehicles commute which have mufflers ( not all ). The noise factor not really their fault. I like the little details for example there is a drain cap under the shower grate and common drain in the bathroom which I have rarely seen in Mexico. Excelent & clean hotel, as a new building correspond, with nice and modern image but so far from a 5 star calification as they claim it to be: ridiculuosly reduced and crampy parking space on both floors. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms yes, but only a few Tv channel options? The most deplorable was the treatment we received at the reception with discriminative and up and down couple of gazes, harsh and rude treatment not related to the hospitable, nice way that people of Xalapa usually welcome visitors. People in charge of cleaning there, have better manners than the receptionist and the restaurant staff, last ones are the same from the seconds in the way they act in front of customers, bathrooms at the restaurant section are uncomfortable because don´t have enough space. About the food: Tasty and home made mexican style buffet, but also with optional menu options but if you´d like a good coffee, better go at the small coffee and sandwich place across the street where you´ll get better attention from a nice lady. Conclusion: I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL, GO AND SEE OTHER OPTIONS, YOU´LL GET BETTER FOR THE SAME PRICE. Excelente y limpio hotel, como corresponde a un edificio nuevo, con una imagen moderna, pero de eso a proclamarse como un hotel 5 estrellas está muy lejos de serlo: Estacionamiento espantosa y ridículamente estrecho en ambos pisos (2); habitaciones limpias, espaciosas, confortables SÍ, pero ¿Sólo unos cuantos canales de tv, que si mal no recuerdo no llegaban a 18? Lo más deplorable fue el servicio de la recepción que rayaba en discriminatorio, con miradas de arriba a abajo, trato áspero y cortante que no hace honor al trato amable y hospitalario de los Xalapeños. Tienen mejor trato las personas encargadas de la limpieza, que quienes atienden la recepción y el "restaurante", que no se quedan atrás en el mal trato a sus clientes y los baños de éste tremendamente incómodos. En cuanto a la comida: buen sazón, variedad en su "bufet", pero si quieres disfrutar de un buen café, o un buen sándwich tipo gourmet recomiendo que mejor lo consigas en un pequeño lugar enfrente de éste hotel, un pequeño negocio en donde te atienden mil veces mejor que en éste sitio de hospedaje que NO RECOMIENDO. Hay mucho mejores opciones por el precio...

Nunca tienen suficiente personal, ha sido la excusa visita tras visita. Creo que he sigo muy paciente y amable, pero ganas de resolver y trabajar no tienen.

Un día vinimos 3 personas. Ellas pidieron sus platillos, yo unos hotcakes. Ellas terminaron de comer y mis hotcakes ni llevaban, y cuando llegaron estaban quemados. Los devolví y pedí algo diferente. Resuelta qué como había evento, el personal estaba concentrado en eso y aunque en restaurante había solo 2 o 3 mesas, no las podían atender. Al final pedí otro platillo, pero pues en servir los primeros tardaron aproximadamente 40m, el mio tardó más, y luego lo cambiaron.

En otra ocasión pedimos mantequilla. Terminamos de comer y la mantequilla nunca llegó.

La semana pasada vinimos y pedí salsa, me dijeron que me la fuera a servir a la barra (si, es buffet, pero considero que con la salsa, los saleros, complementos, etc, podrían ser más atentos). Pues que no, que los meseros no hacen eso.

Hoy no había mesero, me levanté y me serví café. El mesero de lejos me ve y se acerca rápido a decirme que el me tiene que servir. Le digo que no se preocupe, que ya me serví. Y me empieza a decir que es que tienen mucho trabajo. Le dije que si, que está bien, que yo me servía. Y ya no sé que más dijo, porque siguió hablando bajito, para desquitarse pero sin dejar claro lo que decía. O sea... Ganas de ser grosero había.

Comprendo que es un lugar con tarifas accesibles, pero esto me suena a falda de personal y de organización. No todos los meseros, aclaro. Pero si los suficientes para que se note que algo no está funcionando.
