There were many parts that were not at the level of a four-star hotel.

A little above average but definitely not a 4-star hotel. There were good and bad points, read both of them.

What was good : a good mattress and pillows. enough pillows. A good hot shower. The towels were alright but not the best. The installations were alright and maybe in good weather it will be fun to stay there.

The personnel on reception - kind but seemed not really interested in the guest comfort. We asked for a room with a king-size bed, and we had been told that there is not one available, even if the hotel was almost empty.

At first we were offered a room on the first floor, even if the higher floors are with a better view and the hotel is almost empty. The first room smelled of mold and humidity. When we changed the room for one on the second floor, the small table in the room was dirty, as if someone had smoked there and left the ashes on the table. The towel in the bathroom was wrapped with a dirty thing, it's in the photos. it is all covered with mold spots and should not be on a clean towel.

The room has lots of details to be changed as they are old. The contacts and switches next to beds are really old and for a change. The balcony has rusty spots. The TV is very small and doesn't really fit for a 4-star hotel.

In the morning someone started nicking on the wall, it was 9 in the morning, doing some repairs on the wall. It is unacceptable to have that repairs in a four-star hotel that cares for the guest comfort.

Even for a discounted price this is not more than a 3-star hotel with a good garden...

We stayed with a group of friends for a weekend at Los Cocuyos Mision Hotel in Huatusco. What a great mistake! Never again. Dinner was cold and tasteless. Breakfast was ok. But the very worst thing was that the hotel rents its facilities for parties of all kinds and that may last as long as the partygoers want. We were looking for a quiet night for a good rest and it was all of the opposite. Music almost all night coming from two places in the hotel premises that did not let us sleep. We complained several times during the night and nothing happened. When checking out, a last useless complaint. Besides, the rooms have only one electrical contact which makes difficult to charge our cell phones and other electric gadgets. Some rooms had no fan. Some towels were dirty. We will never return...

Conocí este hotel desde antes de que lo comprara la cadena de hoteles Misión. Era de un amigo de mi padre, el agente aduanal Benito Guerrero. Siempre nos invitaba para que pasáramos vacaciones ahí. He tenido la oportunidad de visitarlo en, por lo menos, cinco ocasiones. Siempre que fui mi estancia fue muy agradable. El hotel es, efectivamente, tres estrellas, pero con eso es más que suficiente. Lo que realmente se disfruta del hotel es su entorno. La vegetación que le rodea es exuberante. No sé hoy en día pero la última vez que fui tuve la oportunidad de acudir a uno de los beneficios (lugar donde se beneficia el café) que habían en Huatusco, el aroma a café desde que vas en la carretera es exquisito. Inclusive andando en bicicleta, en las afueras del hotel, se podía percibir el aroma. En aquel tiempo, las instalaciones siempre estaban limpias solo que requerían de mayor mantenimiento. Hoy en día, desconozco cómo serán al pertenecer a hoteles Misión, pero supongo que deben de tener un mayor mantenimiento al ser una cadena hotelera con mayor presupuesto que el de una persona física. Recomiendo mucho el desayuno en su restaurante El Ventanal; entre más temprano puedan ir, es mejor. El clima es bipolar, pudiendo estar con una lluvia torrencial toda la noche y amanecer con un sol radiante. La última vez que fui, llevé a amigos de la licenciatura a que conocieran el lugar; me preguntaron cómo era el clima y les dije que llevaran shorts y cosas por el estilo. La noche que llegamos, había una neblina muy espesa que no dejaba ver más allá de tu mano. Todos estaban asustados porque no llevaban ropa para taparse pero, con toda seguridad, les dije que al día siguiente verían un sol pletórico y así fue. Vale mucho la pena llevar a los niños, tienen muchas áreas verdes para jugar, además de áreas de juegos, canchas de tenis, fútbol, básquetbol, tenis de mesa, billar, entre otros. La alberca cumple pero definitivamente no es un lugar al que vayas a visitar por estar en la alberca o para disfrutar de un sol para broncearse, es un lugar al que vas para disfrutar de la naturaleza, de las áreas verdes, del aire limpio; si ademas vas con familia o amigos, la diversión será mayor.
