Hotel Quetzalcóatl — Hotel in Veracruz

We stayed here for one night as a stopover.... the place is a bit out of the center of town but since we had a car it was no problem. The staff were incredibly nice, helpful and always available. We had our dog with us and they happily allowed him to stay in the room for a insignificant fee. The room was clean and comfortable, had air con and a hot shower- excellent for the price. More than adequate for a cosy nights stay. We ordered a pizza for dinner and nearly two hours later were still waiting- hungry and mad. I thought we would go to sleep on an empty stomach but the owner and his assistant got on the phone and after a good amount of arguing he ended up getting us our pizza for free :) If i pass through here again I will definitely stay at this place and will...

This hotel is a hidden gem! This is the second time I stay. This occasion I decided to bring my entire family including my 2 children. The staff and owners really bend over backwards to indulge theirs guests. They offered us special accommodations, provided us with recommendations for nearby places and restaurants to visit, called radio-taxi for us. Our room was very spacious and had a huge dresser to keep our clothes, not to mention the amazing fact the room had 3 beds. Ocassionally when arrived late hours, a very nice young man was always ready to open the door and make us feel welcome regardless on the time. Reservamos una noche vía Expedia, por lo que el precio fue bastante bueno ($442). Hay un costo adicional por mascota ($200) y se dejan $200 adicionales como depósito que te devuelven después. Solamente se permite una mascota por habitación. Inicialmente nos dieron una habitación muy pequeña en planta baja porque vieron que me costaba trabajo caminar y no hay elevador. Tuvimos que pedir que nos cambiaran de habitación porque a mi esposo le cayó una cucaracha grande del techo y salieron otras dos en la primera hora que estuvimos ahí. Amablemente nos mudaron de habitación a una en el primer piso, más amplia y sin cucarachas. Revisamos las sábanas y había cabellos, pedimos cambio de sábana y listo. La cama estaba un poco suave, de esas que se acuesta una persona y como que te ruedas por el peso. Ahora bien, por el precio y por una noche (íbamos de pasada) realmente está OK . Pudimos dormir tranquilamente. ||Lo que sí es que fuimos en pandemia y pues los dueños y los de recepción sin cubrebocas o sin colocárselo correctamente cubriendo la nariz.
