We traveled from Cancun to visit Chitzan Itza. We actually stayed here because of miscommunication with family member that gave us the incorrect name of a place to stay. This about 10 min from the ruins which very convenient. This a great place to stay if traveling on a budget. The rooms are rustic but comfortable, understand that were are spoiled Americans. Rooms have A/C and are very clean. As far as hospitality ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️. Luis made the stay. He is a wealth of knowledge of culture and just cool dude. He did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. His advice on visiting the ruins was invaluable, listen to his recommendations. The breakfast offering is exceptional. The best breakfast we had on our whole trip and we were staying at 5 star resort. All fresh and home cooking. The pastry prepared by his wife is wow. He arranged a private tour guide for Chichén Itza and gave restaurants recommendations for our trip over stopping in Valladolid which was outstanding. I am so thankful and appreciative that we had the opportunity meet him. I would absolutely recommend staying here. Thank you Luis for a great...

The owner, Luis, is an exceptionally friendly and kind host. He serves you fresh breakfast every morning and entertains you with a few life stories. He also has a good knowledge of the area to provide helpful recommendations. I was also impressed with the tenderness and love that he treats all the wildlife that finds their way onto the property. The restaurant Sac-Bé Maya is within walking distance from the bungalow, and if you rent a car, Pisté is the next larger town with more restaurants for dinner options. The main attractions would be Chichén Itza for the temples (amazing!) and Yaxunah, a quieter smaller version of Chichén Itza. And of course, there are local cenotes (natural swimming holes)...

The setting is a large property that feels like a tropical forest filled with fruit trees and a variety of wild birds. All this in a cute little village complete with chickens and ducks roaming about. The property is about 15 min from the mayan ruins at Chichen Itza.
The host, Luis, is a gem of a person. He greeted me with fresh juice and provided super useful advise about visiting Chichen Itza and some of the surrounding cenotes. He and his wife put on a delicious breakfast every morning comlete with fruit from their own garden and home baked bread,
If you're going the Chichen Itza, this place should be...
