TecnoHotel Beach — Hotel in Yucatán

We were looking for a hotel around progreso area and someone recommended this hotel we got the number called made a reservation for the same day actually wanting to stay for three days but they were all booked up so we made the reservation for the one night figuring that we would move to another hotel the next day we got to the hotel in the late afternoon the hotel was nice big rooms clean nice pool beach was kind of private it was nice the restaurant was just kind of ok compared to everything else the food was just kind of ok but we thought what a great place to bad we were not going to be able to stay longer , Well the next morning we woke up early thinking let's take adavantage of the beach before we need to Check out we went to eat breakfast and before we could finish our breakfast four tour busses had showed up and downloaded atleast 200 people several vans taxis when we made it to the beach there was about fifty beach chairs to what seemed like three hundred people maybe more pool was packed it was rediculous by the time we could get out of there more busses had showed up we could not get our car out we were parked in by a buss anyways if you just need aplace to sleep for the night not bad but if your looking to relax this place turns into a beach club with tours that come from Merida and this nice little hotel starts...

For a 3 star hotel it was good, it is in front of the beach and during the summer the sea is great. Obviously there are some things that they can improve, first of all, at our arriving we had to wait 30 min because there was No one at the reception. The rooms are big enough, they have a little kitchen, refrigerator and microwave oven, that is good. One thing to improve is the showers, even that the weather is very hot in this area sometimes at night you would like to take a shower with hot water, they don't have hot water and the water does not go out very good. They have 2 pools that are OK they just need some maintenance, one of them was not very clean and the other had some "holes" in the bottom, seems that the floor inside need to be repaired.

I put this comments as constructive feedback, so the owner or manager can take a look at this.

In the case of the restaurant they have fare prices but we order a Shrimp Ceviche and it was OK, but shrimps looked a bit not cooked. We also ordered a Breaded fish and it was not bad, but it was not the best. We ordered a guacamole and it was good!

Even this comments, I have to admit that we had a great time...

We were on a family vacation and decided to stay here for a couple of nights, worst decision ever. There were bed bugs in every single bed!! All of us got bitten and when we told the managers they only said “I’m sure that’s not right, we don’t have enough staff, this is the best we can do”||Besides this, the food is terrible, the people at the restaurant do not take any of our requests into consideration (lactose intolerants and stuff like this). And there is NO SERVICE between 9 pm and 8:30 am, so if you need any food at night or early in the morning, there is none to be had. ||The rooms have kitchenettes with NO plates, NO utensils, NO appliances, so there’s really no motive to them.||The rooms themselves are not clean, the bathroom has a terrible smell and there’s always water everywhere, the sliding doors of the shower didn’t work and the toilet was broken. Nothing was done about this even though we reported it several times.||I do not understand why health authorities have allowed this kind of places to stay open, but it is plainly unsanitary.||If you can avoid it, do not stay here under any...
